Product Usage Instructions
Safety:
- The installation and operation of this luminaire must comply with national safety regulations.
- Installation and commissioning should only be done by a qualified electrician.
- The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper use or installation.
- Any modifications made to the luminaire should be performed by a responsible person who will be considered the manufacturer.
- To achieve additional protection against overvoltage and transients, separate overvoltage protection components are recommended. They can be found on the manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com.
- If the luminaire is mounted on a metallic, electroconductive surface, ensure that the mounting surface is connected conductively to the earth conductor of the luminaire.
Installation:
- LED components are sensitive, avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
- To open the luminaire, loosen the lateral knob and remove the cap. Take out the glass component and loosen the isolating plug (LED lines).
- Pull silicone sleeves over the wires, make an earth connection and electrical connection to the terminal.
- Mount the luminaire housing with suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
- Reconnect the isolating plug (LED-lines) and lead the lines back through the cable routing to avoid damaging them by the rotating mechanism.
- Place the glass into the luminaire housing, close the luminaire with the cap, and screw in the knob into the cap.
Maintenance:
- To disassemble the LED module, remove the glass component and loosen the isolating plug (LED lines).
- Replace any broken glass.
- Clean the glass and luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers to remove dirt.
- When assembling the LED replacement module, insert the glass component into the light shade and remount the Teflon ring. Reconnect the isolating plug (LED lines) and lead the lines through the cable routing.
