Product Information

The Decken- und Wandleuchte is a ceiling and wall luminaire that is designed for various lighting tasks. It has a high protection class and is made of an aluminium alloy and crystal glass.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Safety

Before installing and operating the luminaire, ensure that you comply with national safety regulations. The installation and commissioning should only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by improper use or installation. If you make modifications to the luminaire, you will be considered the manufacturer.

  1. Overvoltage Protection

The luminaire’s electronic components are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. For additional protection against transients and other events, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components. You can find these components on the manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com.

  1. Installation

When installing the luminaire, make sure to only operate it with the complete protective cover. Undo the locking screw and turn the cover ring as far as it will go. Remove the cover ring and glass from the luminaire base. During installation or relamping, avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly, as they are high-quality electronic components.

  1. Spares

Installation

The luminaire must only be operated with the complete protective cover. Undo locking screw and turn cover ring as far as it will go. Remove cover ring and glass from the luminaire base. LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping. Disassemble LED module. Loosen LED connection (plug connection). Lead the mains supply cable through the cable entry into the luminaire back housing. Fix luminaire base with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface. Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied. Make the earth conductor connection and the electrical connection. For digital control please use the connecting terminal DA, DA. In case this terminal is not used the luminaire will be operated at full light output. Push LED plug into the coupler as fa as it will go. Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly. Assemble LED module. Tighten the screws evenly. Please observe that the LED board is not damaged mechanically. Place cover ring with glass onto the luminaire base and turn it clockwise as far as it will go. Tighten locking screw.

Cleaning · Maintenance

Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt and deposits. Do not use high pressure cleaners.

Replacing the LED module
The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire. The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools. Disconnect the system and open the luminaire. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module. Inspect and, if necessary, replace the luminaire gaskets. Defective glass must be replaced. Close the luminaire.
