Product Usage Instructions

  1. Safety: The installation and operation of this luminaire must comply with national safety regulations. Only a qualified electrician should perform the installation and commissioning. The manufacturer will not be liable for any damage caused by improper use or installation. If any modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for those modifications will be considered the manufacturer.

  2. Overvoltage Protection: The electronic components in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. For additional protection against transients and other risks, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components. You can find these components on the manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com.

  3. Electrical Connections: Connect the luminaire to a power source with a voltage range of 220-240 V and a frequency of 50-60 Hz. Ensure that the DC output voltage from the power supply unit is within the range of 176-264 V. Use appropriate cables and
    connectors for the electrical connections.

  4. Mounting: Use the provided mounting plate to securely attach the luminaire onto a foundation or connecting housing. Ensure that the mounting plate is properly aligned and tightened to prevent any movement or instability.

  5. Thermal Regulation: The luminaire has a temporary thermal regulation feature to protect temperature-sensitive components without switching off the luminaire. This ensures optimal performance and longevity of the product.

  6. Maintenance: Regularly clean the luminaire to remove any dust or dirt that may accumulate on the surface. Use a soft cloth or non-abrasive cleaning agent to avoid damaging the finish. Inspect the luminaire
for any signs of damage or wear and replace any faulty components as necessary.

  7. Compliance: Ensure that the usage of the luminaire complies with all applicable regulations and standards in your area, including electrical safety and environmental requirements. For more detailed information and specific usage instructions, please refer to the complete user manual available on the manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com.

Instructions for use

Application

  • Surface-mounted luminaire · Wall washer The design of this in-ground floodlight makes it possible to fully illuminate a vertical surface, e.g. a façade, from the ground to the lower edge of the roof. The lower limit of the light distribution is a straight line, without the usual “light cone”.
  • The luminaire can be controlled by DALI color light control (DT 8, RGBWAF, xy).
  • We recommend the use of BEGA DALI system components.
  • For the various requirements at the installation site, we offer a connection housing as a accessory.
  • The luminaires can thus be installed on unpaved surfaces.

Lamp

  • Module connected wattage: 23.2 W
  • Luminaire connected wattage: 26.6 W
  • Rated temperature: ta = 25 °C
  • Ambient temperature: ta max = 40 °C
  • Module designation: LED-0903/RGBW
  • Color temperature of the white: LED 4000 K
  • Luminaire luminous: flux 1909 lm
  • Luminaire luminous efficiency: 71,8 lm / W

Safety

  • The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations.
  • Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
  • The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation.
  • If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Overvoltage protection

  • The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547.
  • To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components.
  • You can find them on our website at www.bega.com.
