Product Information

The Wandleuchte Wall luminaire Applique is a wall-mounted luminaire designed for lighting ceiling, wall, and ground surfaces. It features an asymmetrical light distribution, making it suitable for spatial illumination of surfaces. The luminaire is made of aluminium alloy and comes with a clear safety glass and a reflector made of pure anodised aluminium. It has a swivel range around the horizontal axis and a plug connection for easy installation. The luminaire operates on a LED power supply unit with a voltage range of 220-240 V AC, 50-60 Hz, and 176-280 V DC. It is also DALI-controllable with one DALI address. The luminaire has a protection class I and a protection rating of IP65, making it dust-tight and protected against water jets. It has an impact strength of IK09, providing protection against mechanical impacts. The weight of the luminaire is 7.2 kg. The luminaire complies with Dark-Sky regulations, directing the light evenly and efficiently onto the surface to be illuminated and emitting less than 1% of the luminous flux into the upper half-space of the luminaire.

Product Usage Instructions

Before installation, ensure that the installation and operation of the luminaire comply with national safety regulations.
Installation and commissioning should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Avoid improper use or installation as it may cause damage for which the manufacturer accepts no liability.
If any modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications will be considered the manufacturer.
The luminaire is equipped with electronic components protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. For additional protection against transients and other events, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components available on the manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com.
During installation, avoid touching the light output opening of the luminaire, as the LEDs used are high-quality electronic components.

Application

Wall luminaire with asymmetrical light distribution. For lighting ceiling, wall and ground surfaces. The asymmetrical light distribution is particularly suitable for the spatial illumination of surfaces.

The light from this luminaire is directed evenly and highly efficiently onto the surface to be illuminated and emits less than 1 % of the luminaire luminous flux into the upper half-space of the luminaire.

Safety
The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components.

Installation

LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping. Undo the hexagon socket screws (wrench size 3 mm) as far as they will go and remove mounting plate. Pass the power connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate.

Note: T he position of application of the mounting plate “arrow down”.

Fix the mounting plate with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface. Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied. Make the earth conductor connection and the electrical connection. The two connecting terminals marked DA, DA are provided for digital control purposes. If these terminals are not assigned, the luminaire will work with full light output. Push plug into coupler as far as it will go. Place luminaire housing onto the mounting plate and fix it. Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly.
Adjustment of beam direction:

Loosen acorn nut M 10.
Make luminaire adjustments.
Tighten the acorn nut.
Torque: 24 Nm.

Cleaning Maintenance

Clean the luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt and deposits.
Do not use high-pressure cleaners.

Please note:
Do not remove the desiccant bag from the luminaire housing. It is needed to remove residual moisture.

Replacing the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
Disconnect the system and open the luminaire. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
Inspect and, if necessary, replace the luminaire gaskets.
The defective glass must be replaced. Close the luminaire.
