Description| This product is a luminaire designed for free illumination of
wall surfaces. It has an adjustable colour temperature (Tunable
White) and can be controlled by DALI colour light control (DT 8,
TW). The luminaire features a plastic cover with a light-diffusing
structure and a reflector made of anodized pure aluminum. The
luminaire is equipped with high-quality electronic components and
is protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547.

Product Usage Instructions

Before installation or relamping, avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly.
To install the luminaire, follow these steps:
- Undo the hexagon socket head screws (wrench size 3 mm) and lift the luminaire top.
- Loosen the earth connection (plug connection) and LED connection between the luminaire top and the luminaire base.
- Lead the mains supply cable through the cable entry of the luminaire base.
- Note the position of the application arrow (arrow pointing downwards).
- Fix the luminaire base onto the mounting surface using the enclosed or any other suitable fixing material.
- Make the earth conductor connection.
- Push silicone sleeves over the lines for the mains cable connection terminal 2.5@ and earth conductor connection.
- For digital control, use terminal DA, DA.
- If terminal DA, DA is not used, the luminaire will operate at full light output.
- Restore the earth connection (plug connection) and LED connection between the luminaire top and the luminaire base.
The installation and operation of this luminaire should only be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with national safety regulations.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation.
If any modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.
For additional protection against overvoltage and other potential issues, separate overvoltage protection components are recommended. These can be found on the manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com.

Application

Wall luminaire · indoor luminaire for the glare-free illumination of wall surfaces with the mounting surface being the reflection surface. The light emits upwards and downwards.
Luminaire with adjustable colour temperature (Tunable White), which can be controlled by DALI colour light control (DT 8, TW).
We recommend the use of BEGA DALI system components

Safety

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations.
Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation.
If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Overvoltage protection

The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547.
To achieve additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components.

Installation

LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
Undo the hexagon socket head screws (wrench size 3 mm) and lift the luminaire top. Loosen earth connection (plug connection) and LED connection between luminaire top and luminaire base.
Lead the main supply cable through the cable entry of the luminaire base.
Note the position of the application “arrow down”. Fix the luminaire base with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
Make an earth conductor connection.
Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make an electrical connection.
For digital control please use the connecting terminal DA, DA.
In case this terminal is not used the luminaire will be operated at full light output.
Make an earth connection (plug connection) and LED connection between the luminaire top and luminaire base again.
Note the position of application of the luminaire “arrow down”.
Install the luminaire top part, adjust it and tighten the screws evenly.

Setting the colour temperature

The LED colour temperature of the luminaire can be set from 2700 to 6500 K (“Tunable White”).
Please note : To be able to set the LED colour temperature, the controller used must support DALI Device Type 8. If no LED colour temperature setting is made, 3000 K will be used by default.

Replacing the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
Disconnect the system and open the luminaire.
Undo one of the two external locking screws (Torx) in the luminaire housing and remove the lateral housing cover.
Remove the synthetic cover from the profile of the luminaire housing.
Remove the LED module. Install the replacement LED module. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
A defective synthetic cover must be replaced.
Close up the luminaire again in reverse order
