TIPS
-
For the best results, use bread slices of medium thickness.
The cooking time depends on the thickness of slices and sort of bread. -
You can use wheat flour bread as well as rye flour bread.
-
Cut the bread into slices of required size.
-
Use vegetable oil or ordinary margarine to smear the slices, as other fats burn fast. Smear the bread with some oil from the outside if you want your sandwich crispy. You can add herbs, garlic, a pinch of cinnamon or other spices to the oil.
-
Do not put too much filling, otherwise the bread slices will be difficult to press together or the filling will leak.
-
1-2 spoons of filling are usually enough. You can use anything at hand for the filling: cooked meat or fish leftovers, fried mushrooms, jam, tinned fish, any boiled/roasted vegetables.
Add a drop of mayonnaise or tomato sauce to make the filling juicier. -
Do not use filling from fresh vegetables that wilt under high temperature (lettuce, cucumber). You can have good results using tomatoes and onions.
-
Use only cooked meat or fish – the sandwich maker only heats up the filling but doesn’t cook it.

- Let the unit cool down completely, to this end it is recommended to open the sandwich maker.
