SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Consider these instructions to be a part of the appliance and provide them to other users of the appliance.
  • Check whether the data on the type label correspond with the voltage in your socket. The power cord plug has to be connected to the properly connected and grounded socket.
  • This product can be used by children at the age of 8 years and older and people with reduced physical or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are supervised or if they were instructed regarding use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand possible risks. Children must not play with the appliance. User cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by children if they are younger than 8 year and unsupervised. Children younger than 8 years must be kept out of reach of the appliance and its power cord.
  • Never use the appliance if its power cord or plug is damaged, if it does not work properly, if it fell down and was damaged or if it fell to water. In this case take the appliance to a special service to check its safety and proper function.
  • Pay careful attention when handling the appliance to avoid injury,(e.g. burns, scalding).
  • If the power cord of the appliance is corrupted, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer, its service technician or a similarly qualified person so as to prevent dangerous situations.
  • Before replacing accessories or accessible parts, which move during operation, before assembly and disassembly, before cleaning or maintenance and after use turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains by pulling the power cord from the power socket!
  • CAUTION – Do not use the appliance with a program, time switch or any other part that turns the appliance on automatically as there is a risk of fire if the appliance is not covered or placed properly.
  • Always unplug the appliance from power supply if you leave it unattended and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.
  • NOTICE – Some parts of this product may become very hot and cause burns. Take special care when children or handicapped persons are present.
  • When the appliance is in operation, prevent pets, plants or insects to get in contact with it.
  • The product is intended for home use and similar (in shops, offices and similar workplaces, in hotels, motels and other residential environments, in facilities providing accommodation with breakfast). It is not intended for commercial use!
  • Do not use the grill if it is wet, your hands are wet or on a wet surface!
  • Do not insert or take out the plug to or from a socket with wet hands and do not pull the power cord!
  • Never use the toaster outdoors!
  • Do not place any objects on the appliance.
  • Do not use the appliance for heating a room!
  • Do not use the toaster for other purposes (e.g. for drying textile products, footwear, etc.) than those recommended by the producer.
  • Before preparation, remove possible packages from food (e.g. paper, a PE bag, etc.).
  • While preparation there is a risk of self-ignition of the prepared food. In the case of sudden ignition, disconnect the appliance from power supply and extinguish the fire.
  • Never immerse the appliance into water (even its parts)!
  • Do not place the toaster on unstable, fragile and flammable surfaces (e.g. paper, glass, paper and plastic, varnished wooden plates and various fabrics/cloths).
  • Never leave the appliance unsupervised and check it during the whole time of preparing meals! When handling the appliance, use the handle.
  • Use the appliance in the working position at places with no risk of turning over and in sufficient distance from flammable objects (e.g. curtains, drapes, wood, etc.), heat sources (e. g. heater, stove, etc.) and wet surfaces (e.g. sinks, wash-basins, etc.).
  • Do not use the appliance in an environment saturated with explosive or flammable steams.
  • The appliance must not be used in damp or wet environment and in any environment with the danger of fire or explosion (spaces where chemicals, fuels, oils, gases, paints and other flammable or volatile materials are stored).
  • It is not allowed to modify the surface of the appliance in any way (e.g. using a selfadhesive wallpaper, foils, etc.)!
  • Before changing accessories (hotplates) allow the appliance to cool down.
  • When roasting, there is a risk of spontaneous ignition of the processed food. In case of a sudden flare-up, disconnect the appliance from the mains and extinguish the fire.
  • To avoid injury (burning), do not move the appliance when it is hot!
  • Check the condition of the power cord of the appliance regularly.
  • If you need to use an extension cord, it has to be uncorrupted and it has to comply with the valid standards.
  • The product is equipped with a safety fuse which protects it against overheating.
  • Never put the power cord on hot surfaces or do not let it hang over the edge of a table or a work top. Plugging or pulling the power cord e.g. by children can result in tilting over or drawing the appliance down and serious injury!
  • The power cord must not be damaged with sharp or hot objects, open fire and it must not be sunk into water. Make sure that the power cord does not hang over the edge of the working table where children could reach it.
  • The appliance is portable and it is equipped with a movable connector with a plug which ensures double-pole disconnection from power supply.
  • With regards to fire safety, the appliance complies with EN 60 335-2-6. Within the intention of the standard, this appliance can be operated on a table or on a similar surface while safe distance must be maintained from flammable materials of at least 500 mm in the direction of the main heat radiation and 100 mm in the other directions.
  • Never use the appliance for any other purpose than for that described in these instructions for use!
  • All text in other languages and pictures shown on the packaging, or the product itself, are translated and explained at the end of this language mutation.
  • WARNING: There is a risk of injury in case of incorrect use (not in accordance with the manual) of the appliance.
  • The producer does not undertake any responsibility for damage caused by improper use of the appliance (e.g. deterioration of food, injury, burning, scalding, fire, etc.) and its guarantee does not cover the appliance in the case of failure to comply with the safety warning above.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before you start:
Remove all the packing material and take out the toaster. Remove all possible adhesion foils, stick–on labels or paper from the toaster. Before the first use, clean all parts of the appliance that will be in contact with food with a soft wet cloth.

  • Oil th ecooking plates with olive oil, butter, margarine or any cooking fat.
  • Cook 1 or 2 sandwiches, please do not eat these first pieces of sandwich you made. (this procedure must be done with each kind of baking plates)

Using the unit

  • Place the toaster on flat and dry surface (e. g. kitchen table) at least 85 cm high, out of reach of children. Choose suitable board.
  • Insert the plug into a suitable mains power socket. Red indicator P2 light will come ON.
  • Prepare the sandwich while waiting for the toaster to heat up.
  • After 4 to 6 minutes the sandwich maker will be ready as indicated by the green light (P1) going ON.
  • For golden brown toasted sandwiches, place the buttered sides of the bread onto the cooking plates.
  • Open the sandwich maker and place in the sandwich. Be careful of the hot surfaces.
  • Do not close the lid by excessive force!
  • Close both halves of the sandwich maker without placing too much force on the sandwich. If too much force is required to close the sandwich maker, the clip may come loose or break during toasting.
  • Keep the sandwich maker closed during toasting.
  • Cooking time will depend on the type of bread used and personal preferences.
  • After toasting is complete open the toaster maker and remove sandwich with a plastic or wooden untensil. Never use a metal or sharp object as this wil damage the non-stick coating on the cooking plates.
  • After use remove the plug from the power socket outlet.

Note:
During cooking the green indicator (P1) of temperature is periodically switching ON and OFF to keep the correct temperature of the appliance.

Changing the baking plate
The are 3 pairs of exchangeable baking plates in the original package. Before changing the plates, make sure they are cold to avoid severe burns. Pressing the button (P6), release the baking plate. Lift the plate in the area of the P6 button and pull forward. When inserting the plate, first place the small mounts on the back side of the plate in to the holes near the hinges. Press lightly on the baking plate to set it in the place. Correct fit is signalized by a „click“ sound.

IMPORTANT NOTICES

  • A short slight smoke may appear during the first use; it is not a defect and reason for sales return.
  • Always let the plates heat up to the operating temperature before putting food in.
  • Leave the cover down when heating up the boards.
  • Do not touch the plates as they are HOT! Be specially careful and prevent children and incapable persons from touching the plates!
  • Use handle P4 when transferring the appliance.
  • Never place a tinfoil or any other material or objects between the boards and the heating body.
  • Never place a cool board on the hot heating body.
  • Do not leave the appliance on when it is empty.
  • Never cut the prepared food on the plates!
  • Domestic animals (such as exotic birds) may be sensitive to aroma/smell, steam and smoke created during the preparation of food. Therefore, we recommend preparing food in another room.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Unplug the appliance from power supply by taking the plug of the power cord out of the socket! Clean the toaster only when it has cooled down! Clean the appliance regularly after each use. Do not use rough and aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp objects, peelers, caustic agents for cleaning ovens, or other solvents). You can take out the boards from the appliance for easier cleaning. For cleaning the cover, use detergents for cleaning plastic surfaces. Clean the surface by wiping it with a soft and wet cloth. It is normal that the colour of the surface changes in the course of time. This change does not change the features of the surface in any way and thus is not a reason for sales return of the appliance!

  • Do not immerse the appliance or the cord in water or any other liquid. Never use an abrasive to clean the appliance.
  • Clean after each use to prevent any caking of fillings.
  • The appliance can storage in the vertical position.

STORAGE
Make sure that the replaceable boards have cooled down before you put them away. Store the appliance in a safe and dry place, out of the reach of children and minors.

LOCKING CLIP AND ITS EXCHANGE
If the locking clip is damaged it can be replaced. There are two spare clips in the package. Remove the damaged clip from the axis using a strong tool such as knife or screwdriver. New clip just strike on the axis of the sandwich body. More extensive maintenance or maintenance requiring intervention in the inner parts of the appliance must be carried out by professional service! Failure to comply with the instructions of the manufacturer will lead to expiration of the right to guarantee repair! The manufacturer reserves the right for any insignificant deviations from the standard finished product which do not have any effect on the functioning of the product.
