Product Information

Item Number: A04987W3
The product is a lamp fixture that is designed to be mounted on a ceiling or wall. The maximum voltage that can be used is 120V, and the maximum wattage per bulb is 40W. Product Usage Instructions

  1. 1. Before starting assembly and installation, make sure to turn off the power.
  2. Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts and accessories are included as shown in the illustration.
  3. Secure the mounting plate (C) to the outlet box with mounting screws (A).
  4. Screw tubes (L) to arms (K) as shown in the illustration.
  5. Connect wires according to the below chart
Connect Black or Red Supply Wire to: Connect White Supply Wire to:
OUTLET BOX GROUND OUTLET BOX GROUND
CUPPED WASHER FIXTURE GROUND
*Parallel cord (round & smooth) FIXTURE GROUND
*Parallel cord (square & ridged) Neutral Wire

  1. Twist wires together with plastic wire connectors (B) until tightly joined, and wrap each connector with approved electrical tape. Be sure that no wire strands are exposed and then carefully tuck all wires into the outlet box.
  2. After connecting the wires, attach the glass shades (G or I) to the fixture by using screws (H).
  3. Make sure that the ceiling or wall can stand the weight of the lamp before installation.
  4. Any gap between the mounting surface and canopy exceeding 3/16 should be corrected as required.
  5. When replacing bulbs, turn off or unplug the lamp and wait until it is cool as bulbs get hot quickly.
  6. The safety instructions appearing in the manual are not meant to cover all possible conditions that may occur. Use common sense, caution, and care with any electrical products.

Note: The product comes with a spare screw (H) for replacement if needed. Tools required for assembly and installation include a ladder, Philips head or flat blade screwdriver, electrical tape, pliers, and wire cutter/stripper.

  1.  We suggest installation by a licensed electrician.
  2.  Please read the instruction carefully and save them as you may need them at a later time.
  3.  Before you start, NEVER attempt any work without shutting off the electricity until the work is done.»
    • Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your home. Place the main power switch in the “ OFF ” position
    •  Place the wall switch in the “ OFF ” position.
  4.  The mounting surface should be clean, dry, flat, strong enough, and 1/4” larger than the canopy on all sides. Any gaps between the mounting surface and canopy exceeding 3/16” should be corrected as required.
  5.  Make sure that the ceiling or wall can stand the weight of the lamp before installation.
  6.  Make sure the voltage you are using is 120V. The maximum wattage is Type B, Max 40W per bulb.
  7.  Keep the lamp away from acidic and alkaline substances in case of damaging the surface of the lamp.
  8.  When replacing bulbs, you should turn off or unplug the lamp and you must wait until it is cool as bulbs get hot quickly.

ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1.  Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts and accessories are included as shown in the above illustration.

    • Place the wall switch in the “ OFF ” position.
  3.  Make assembly

Step A1 Unscrew studs (F) from the back plate (E) and mounting plate (C), then set them aside for later installation.  Screw tubes (L) to arms (K) as shown in the illustration.
Step A2 Carefully pass the supply wires from the outlet box through the mounting plate (C). Secure mounting plate (C) to the outlet box with mounting screws (A).
Step A3 Make wire connections

Connect wires as below wires connection shown. PLEASE NOTE THAT GROUND WIRE IS BARE COPPER WIRE, NEVER CONNECT OTHER WIRES TO GROUND WIRES.

When parallel wires (SPT I& SPT ll) are used. The neutral wire is square- shaped or ridged and the other wire will be round in shape or smooth (see Illus.)Twist wires together with plastic wire connectors (B) until tightly joined, and wrap each connector with approved electrical tape. Be sure that no wire strands are exposed and then carefully tuck all wires into the outlet box.

Step A4 Align the holes in the back plate (E) and mounting plate (C), then secure them with the previously removed studs (F).
Step A3

  1.  Remove screws (H) from brackets (J).
  2.  Attach glass shades B (I) to the opposite sides of brackets (J) with screws (H) as shown in the illustration.
  3.  Insert glass shades-A (G) into the grooves of glass shades B (I) as shown in the illustration.
  4.  Thread screws (H) to holes of brackets (J) to secure glass shades-A (G) as shown in the illustration.
  5.  Install bulbs (Not included) (Please do not exceed the maximum wattage recommended on the socket.)

Check everything is installed properly, then you could turn on the light. Enjoy!

CLEANING

To clean, wipe the fixture with a soft cloth. Clean glass with a mild cleaner (such as mild and non-abrasive soap). Do not use abrasive materials such as scouring pads or powders, steel wool, or abrasive paper.
