Battery Replacement Instructions for NSR-2168
- WARNINGS y WARNING: It is recommended that a qualified technician perform the replacement of the rechargeable battery pack in this light. y
- WARNING: When exchanging the rechargeable battery pack, use only the approved 2168-BATT rechargeable battery pack from Bayco Products. y
- WARNING: To prevent ignition of a hazardous atmosphere, the rechargeable battery pack must only be exchanged in an area known to be non-hazardous.
REPLACING THE LITHIUM-ION RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
- Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws directly above the body magnet that attach the base of the lens to the housing of the light.
- Lay the light down on a flat surface with the body magnet facing up and remove the 4 recessed housing screws holding the two halves of the housing together.
- Carefully separate the top half of the housing from the bottom.
- Trace the wires attached to the end of the battery to the battery connector clip attached to the light. Observe and note the orientation of the battery connector clip.
- Grasp both sides of the whte battery connector clip and disconnect it from the light by pulling straight up.
- Install the new battery pack by plugging in the white battery connector clip in the same orientation as the old one that was just removed. The connector will only fit one way.
- Make sure the charging port lines up correctly with both halves of the housing while aligning and pressing the two halves together.
- Reinstall all 4 of the housing screws as well as the two screws in the base of the lens.
CAUTION: Do not over tighten screws.
