USE

FILLING

  1. Only use butane.
  2. Check that the stop valve is in closed position. Turn the clockwise as far as it will go.
  3. Turn the product upside down, put the refill tube in the refill valve and press down for 3 to 4 seconds. Repeat 3 times. The product is filled when gas leaks out from the refill valve.
  4. Never use an adapter or equivalent on the gas container refill tube – the valve is designed for direct filling from the gas container. Adapters are usually intended for filling lighters

LIGHTING

  1. Turn the stop valve 2/3 of a turn anticlockwise. Gas flows out
from the product with a hissing sound.

  2. Press the lighter button. The flame lights immediately.

  3. Press the lighter button again if the flame does not light. If the flame still does not light, check that the adjuster ring for the air flow is not covering the ventilation hole. Turn the stop valve to closed position and hold the product so that you can see into the burner from the front. Press the lighter button while the flow of gas is turned off. You should see aspark between the lighter pin and the inside of the burner. Never press the lighter button when the burner is pointed at yourself or any flammable material. If a spark is seen, repeat the lighting process. Open the valve 1/2 or 3/8 of a turn and press the lighter button.

ADJUSTING THE FLAME
The length of the flame can be adjusted from 12 to 25 mm. Long flames consume a lot more fuel. Turn the adjuster ring for the air flow so that the flame gets smaller for a lower flame temperature.

WARNING!
The adjuster ring for the air flow is hot – risk of burn injury. Put out the flame and allow the product to cool before adjusting.

TURNING OFF
Turn the stop valve all the way clockwise. Check that the flame is out and that the product has cooled before putting it away.
