IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
- 1. Read all instructions before using the kettle.
- Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated (on the underside of the kettle and its base) corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this is not the case, contact the seller and do not use the kettle.
- The attached base cannot be used for anything other than the intended use.
- To avoid damaging the heating elements, do not operate the kettle without water.
- Unplug the kettle from the socket when not in use.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter; do not let it touch a hot surface.
- Do not place the kettle on or near a hot gas or electriC Durner or inside a heated oven.
- Should you accidentally turn on the kettle without water, the boil-dry protection function will automatically switch it off. If this should ocCur, allow the kettle to cool before filling it with cold water and re-boiling.
- Ensure that the kettle is only used on a firm and flat surtace that children cannot touch; this is to prevent the kettle from overturning and damaging persons or the kettle.

- Unplug the kettle from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning; allow it to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
- Always ensure that the lid is closed and do not lift the kettle while the water is boiling.
- If the kettle s cord is damaged, it must bbe replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not use the kettle for anything other than its intended use.
- Do not move the kettle while it is switched on.
- The kettle can only be used with the base provided.
- If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.

- This kettle is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with a lack of experience or knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the kettle by a person responsible for their safety.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
BEFORE FIRST USE
Before first using the kettle, it is recommended that you twice boila full kettle of water and then discard the water.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

To fill water into the kettle, remove it from the base and open the lid, then fill the desired amount of water into the kettle. Always fill the kettle between the minimum (0.9L) and maximum (1.7L) marks. Too little water will result in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled.
NOTE: Do not fill water over the maximum level as it may spill out of the spout when boiling. Ensure that the lid is firmly in place before plugging the power cord into the socket. -
Close the lid. Position the kettle in place on its base. Make sure that the kettle is completely in contact with the base.

Plug the cord into the power socket. Press the switch downwards to the “I” position; the switch light will turn on and the kettle will start to boil water. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water has boiled and the switch light will turn off. You can cut off the power by lifting the switch at any point while boiling water.
NOTE: Ensure that the switch is clear of obstructions and that the lid is firmly closed. The kettle will not turn off if the switch is constrained or if the lid is open. -
Lift the kettle from the power base and then pour out the water.
NOTE: Be very careful when pouring water from the kettle as boiling water may result in scalds; also, do not open the lid while there is hot water in the kettle. -
The kettle will not re-boil unless the switch is pressed again. Allow the kettle to cool for 15-20 seconds before re-boiling water.
NOTE: The kettle may be stored on its base when not in use. Ensure that the power supply is turned off when the kettle is not in use.
MAINTENANCE AND DESCALING
- Always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the kettle.
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened with a mild liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
- Never immerse the kettle or its base in water or any other liquids.
- Remember to dean the filter at regular intervals using a soft, damp cloth.
- Removal of mineral deposits
- Mineral deposits present in tap water may cause the interior of the kettle to discolour. To remove this build-up, use a non-toxic liquid descaler. Alternatively:
- Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar, then add water to the maximum level and leave the kettle to stand overnight. Do not boil.
- Empty the solution from the kettle. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth. Then, fill the kettle with clean water, boil and discard the water. Repeat once more and the kettle will be ready to use.
DISPOSAL
Disassemble and recycle the kettle in accordance with local reaulations.
