SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using your appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions before use.

  2. Do not touch the hot glass lid. Use the handles or gloves to move the cooking pot ,grill plate or steamer.

  3. Do not allow this unit to be used as a toy. Ensure children are fully supervised when in the same room as the appliance. This product should never be operated by children.

  4. This appliance is not intended for use by children or people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been fully instructed on the safe use of the appliance by the individual responsible for their safety.

  5. Do not use the product if the cord or plug are in any way damaged. Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or exposed to water. If such incidents have occurred, return the appliance to the service center for examination, repair, or

  6. Regularly inspect the product to ensure there is no damage that could cause a hazard.

  7. To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquids. This may cause personal injury and/or damage to the product.

  8. Ensure that the appliance cord is not hanging over the edge of a table or counter or in contact with hot surfaces.

  9. Do not place the appliance on or near a gas or electric burner, or heated oven. Fully unwind the power cord and ensure that it does not contain any knots or kinks before use.

  10. Unplug the appliance from the power outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the unit to completely cool before adding or removing parts or cleaning the appliance. Unplug the appliance by pulling the plug away from the power outlet, never attempt to unplug it by pulling the cord.

  11. All maintenance other than cleaning should be performed at an authorized service center

  12. The use of attachments with this appliance that are not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electrical shock, injury, or damage to the product. Use only the removable cooking pot or grill plate supplied.
    Do not use any other pot or grill plate on the heating base.

  13. The unit is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

  14. This appliance is for household use only. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose. Do not use the product in moving vehicles or boats. Misuse may cause injury.

  15. To protect against fire, do not operate the unit in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.

  16.  Extreme caution should be exercised when using or moving the appliance when it contains food or other hot liquids. Do not move the appliance during cooking.

  17. Always ensure the appliance is placed on a level, dry, and heat-resistant surface that is free of water and any other substances. Do not place the Multi-Cooker on the edge of a bench or table during operation.

  18. Position the Multi-Cooker well away from walls, curtains, and other heat- or steam-sensitive materials. The appliance should be positioned at least 20cm away from any other objects. When using the Multi-Cooker, provide adequate space above and on all sides for air circulation.

  19. Always ensure the Multi-Cooker is properly assembled before use.

  20. Never switch on the Multi-Cooker if the removable cooking pot or grill plate is not on the heating base.

  21. Do not place food or liquid directly on the heating base. Only the removable cooking pot and grill plate are designed to contain food or liquid.

  22. Never operate the Multi-Cooker without food and liquid in the removable cooking pot or grill plate.

  23. Ensure that the food or liquid to be cooked fills at least half of the removable cooking pot before switching the appliance on.

  24. The glass lid has been specially treated to make it stronger, more durable, and safer than ordinary glass; however, it is not unbreakable. If struck extremely hard, the glass may break or weaken and could, at a later time, shatter into many small pieces without any apparent cause.

  25. Always ensure the glass lid is placed correctly on the removable cooking pot throughout the operation of the appliance unless the recipe states that it should be removed.

  26. Do not place the hot removable cooking pot any surface that may be damaged by heat.

  27. Do not use the removable cooking pot in a conventional oven.

  28. Do not use a damaged or cracked removable cooking pot or grill plate. Replace before using the appliance.

  29. Avoid the risk of injury from escaping steam when removing the glass lid from the hot cooking pot by carefully lifting the lid at an angle away from yourself.

  30. Do not allow water from the lid to drip onto the heating base.

  31. Do not place anything other than the lid on top of the Multi-Cooker when assembled, in use, or stored.

  32. Keep the heating base, removable cooking pot, Grill plate ,steamer and glass lid clean. Follow the cleaning instructions provided in this book.

  33.  Do not leave any plastic utensils that are in use inside the appliance when it is hot or on the sauté setting.

SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS

A short power supply cord is provided with this appliance to reduce any risk of the cord becoming entangled or representing a tripping hazard. Longer extension cords are available and may be used with extreme care.

If an extension cord is used, please adhere to the following instructions:

  • The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as hig h as the electrical rating of the appliance.
  • The longer cable should be arranged so that it does not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled by children or tripped over unintentionally.

CONTROLS & FUNCTIONS

A. “Menu” button: Use this button to select a function. Press the button repeatedly until the desired function is selected.
B. “Timer/Temp” button: U se this button to select the temperature and/or cooking time.
C. “Start/Stop” button: Use this button to start or stop the cooking process.
D. “Decrease -” button: Use this button to decrease the temperature or cooking time.
E. “Increase +” button: Use this button to increase the temperature or cooking time.
F. “Power” button: Use this button to power the unit on or off. The control panel illuminates when the power button is pressed.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  • READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND ENSURE ALL SAFEGUARDS ARE PUT IN PLACE.
  • Remove all packaging materials and check that all items have been received in good condition.
  • Tear up all plastic baps and dispose of them properly as they can pose a suffocation or choking risk to children.
  • Wash the cooking pot, lid, grill plate, and steamer in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Place unit on a dry, level counter top, or table. Keep the edge of the unit 20cm away from any objects.
  • When your unit is heated for the first time, it may emit a slight smoke or odor.
    This is normal and is common with many new heating appliances. This does not affect the safety of your appliance.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Before placing the removable cooking pot, grill plate, or steamer, always ensure the exterior is clean and dry. This will ensure proper contact with the cooking surface. Make sure you select the correct accessory for your needs:
    • When using the grill function, only place the grill plate on the base of the unit.
    • When using the steam function, place the cooking pot containing water on the base first, then put the steamer on the cooking pot.
    • When using other functions, place the cooking pot on the base of the unit.
  2. Place the ingredients in the cooking accessory you have selected. Then connect the power.
  3. Press the “Timer/Temp” button and hold for 5 seconds to choose between the displayed temperature units °C or °F.
  4. Press the “Power” button to turn on the unit. All indicators are displayed in red, and the display shows “———-” .
  5. Press the “Menu” button until your desired function is selected. The indicator light for the chosen function will be illuminated.
  6. The default temperature/time will be shown on the display.
  7. For some functions, you can adjust the cooking time and temperature according to your needs (see the table below). Press the “Timer/Temp” button, and the temperature will blink, press “+” and “-” to adjust the temperature.
    Press “Timer/Temp” again, and the time will flash, then press “+” and “-” to change the time.
    NOTE: No default time is displayed when the RICE function is in use; the cooking time is automatically calculated. The cooking time will appear on the display and count down for the last 10 minutes of the cooking process. 8. Press the “Start/Stop” button to start the cooking process. The default time will immediately begin counting down.
NOTE: When the Saute, Grill, and STEAM functions of the appliance are used, the default time starts to count down when the pot/grill reaches the preset temperature.

  1.  With the exception of the grill function, the various functions operate at an optimal level when the lid is placed on the multi-cooker.
  2. After the cooking time is complete, the unit will go into the keep warm mode for 8 hours. After 8 hours, the unit will automatically shut down and enter the standby mode. You can press the “Start/Stop” button to stop cooking at any time.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Clean the unit after each use. Before cleaning, unplug the unit and allow the appliance to cool completely.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners as they may cause damage to the product’ s nonstick surface.
  • Wipe the outside of the unit with a damp cloth only—do not immerse the base in liquid.
  • Clean the cooking pot, steamer, grill plate, and lid with hot water and mild dish detergent. These utensils are also dishwasher safe.
  • Any other servicing other than cleaning should be performed by an authorized service representative.
