User Manual

Let’s get started.
Quick Start

  1. Download the Ring app. The Ring app walks you through setting up and managing your Outdoor Smart Plug.
  2. Set up and install your Ring Bridge. Your Bridge connects your Outdoor Smart Plug to the Ring app.
  3. Open the Ring app and tap Set Up a Device. Select Outdoor Smart Plug and scan this QR code. Then, just follow the in-app instructions to install and set up this device.

Installation

  1. Connect your Outdoor Smart Plug to a weatherproof GFCI outlet. Place it with the outlets facing down, at least 2 ft. above the ground. You can secure your device to the wall with the included hardware.
  2. Plug your devices in. If you’re only using one outlet, seal the other outlet with the included cover. For additional help, visit: ring.com/help

Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the device. Do not use the device where wireless devices are not allowed. For outdoor usage, use this product with ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) outlet. Risk of electric shock. Do not open. No user serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.

  • The timer could turn on unexpectedly without the user being present.
  • To Reduce the Hazardous Condition– Unplug the appliance that is plugged into the receptacle(s) controlled by the timer before servicing.

  • DO NOT exceed the recommended electrical ratings.

Do not defeat the safety purpose of the grounding-type plug. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The grounding prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for the replacement of the obsolete outlet.
