SAFETY INFORMATION

Please read this manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference.

  1. This appliance is intended for use by children 8 years of age and older and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe manner and understand the potential hazards.

  2. Children must not play with the device.

  3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are 8 years old and under supervision.

  4. Children under the age of 8 must be kept out of the reach of the appliance and its power supply.

  5. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
    the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a dangerous situation.

  6. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance, its power supply, or the power plug in water or any other liquid.

  7. This appliance is intended for domestic and indoor use. Do not use it outdoors.

  8. Clean surfaces that come into contact with food according to the instructions in this manual.

  9. This appliance is not intended for operation via an external timer or remote control.

  10. Before connecting the plug to the electrical outlet, make sure that the voltage indicated on the type plate of the appliance corresponds to the voltage in your power outlet.

  11. Plug the power cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet. We recommend connecting the appliance to a separate electrical circuit. Do not use extension cables.

  12. Place the appliance on a flat, dry and solid surface. Do not place
    the appliance near fire or other heat sources. Place the appliance in sufficient distance from heat ‑ sensitive surfaces or objects or those that could catch fire, such as curtains, drapes, etc.

  13. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the counter or table. Do not let the power cord touch the electric or gas plate or any hot surface.

  14. Use the appliance only with the supplied accessories. The use of accessories that are not intended for this appliance or are not specified by the manufacturer as suitable may cause a dangerous situation.

  15. Always make sure that the appliance is properly assembled before connecting it to the power supply.

  16. Do not touch the appliance or the power supply with wet or damp hands.

  17. Clean the appliance after each use. Always allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning it. Do not use scouring pads or harsh cleaners to avoid damaging the non‑stick finish.

  18. Unplug the power cord of the appliance from the outlet and from the appliance when not in use, if you leaving it unattended, before cleaning, moving, assembling or disassembling.

  19. Before replacing the plates, always make sure that the power supply is disconnected from electrical outlet. Always replace both plates in the same time. Do not combine replaceable boards.

  20. Always use wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils when removing finished products from the appliance. Do not use metal utensils, knives, forks, etc., as this may scratch and damage the non‑stick finish of the removable plates.

  21. If the finished product burns to the plate, switch off the appliance and wait for it to cool down. Then use a wooden or heat-resistant plastic tool to remove the baked product from the plate.

  22. It is forbidden to use a damaged appliance, appliance with a damaged replaceable plate, power cord or plug.

  23. Do not cover the appliance while it is in operation.

  24. Always disconnect the power cord by grasping the plug, not by pulling on the power cord.

USE

Before first use

  1. Remove the appliance and its accessories from the packaging. Before disposing of the packaging, be sure to remove all components. Check the appliance and accessories for damage.
  2. Wash the replaceable plates in warm water and wipe dry.
  3. We recommend switching on the appliance and leaving it in operation for about 5 minutes without any ingredients in place with each pair of replaceable plates to remove any odors. During this time, you may notice faint smoke. This is a normal occurrence. Any odor and faint smoke will disappear with use.

Inserting and replacing plates

Warning:
Always make sure that the appliance is switched off and cool and that the plates are clean and dry before inserting or replacing the plates.

  1. To remove the top plate press the two locks that secure it. The plate will come loose; carefully remove it from the appliance. To remove the bottom plate, press the two locks that secure it. The plate will come loose; carefully remove it from the appliance.
  2. Insert the edge of the top plate with the wider cutout under the hinge and then press lightly on the outer edge of the plate to secure it inside the appliance. Correct locking is indicated by a click. Insert the bottom plate in the same way.

Warning:
Never combine replaceable plates. Always use plates of the same type.

Use

  1. Insert the plates into the appliance according to the intended type of cooking.

  2. Before using for the first time, coat the boards with a small amount of butter or oil.

  3. Plug the power cord into a power outlet. The red LED lights up. This indicates that the appliance is connected to the power supply.

  4. The process of heating to operating temperature starts. The heating time lasts 5 – 8 minutes.

  5. Once the green LED lights up, the appliance is ready for use. The green LED will light up and go out during use. This indicates that the plates are warming up to operating temperature. It is not necessary to interrupt the cooking process.

  6. Release the lock and carefully lift the top cover.

  7. Place the prepared food on the bottom plate, close and press the top plate on the bottom one. Secure the handles with the lock.
    Note:
    If you have placed too much or too many pieces of food, you will not be able to close the handles. Remove some food or cut it into smaller pieces. Never force the handles closed. You could damage the appliance.

  8. After 2-3 minutes, unlock the lock and open the top cover to check the toasting status. When the dish is ready, remove it using a wooden or heat-resistant plastic spatula. If the food is not done, close the top cover and continue cooking.
    Warning:
    Never use metal utensils, knives or forks to remove food. You could scratch the non-stick coating of the removable plates.

  9. Before cooking other food, close the appliance and let it warm up again to the operating temperature (the green LED lights up).

  10. Once all the food has been processed, unplug the appliance the power outlet and let the appliance cool down.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning or any maintenance, always switch off the appliance, disconnect the plug from the power outlet and allow it to cool down completely.

Warning:
Never immerse the appliance, the power cable and plug in water or any other liquid.
Do not use plastic or metal scrapers, harsh cleaners, chemicals, gasoline, solvents or other similar substances to clean parts of the appliance. The surface finish could be seriously damaged.
Clean the appliance, especially the replaceable plates, after each use. Use a slightly dampened soft sponge for cleaning. Then wipe dry with a clean cloth. If food gets baked to the plates, use a soft sponge moistened in warm water with a little detergent.
Replaceable plates will be easier to clean if they are lukewarm.
Wipe the outside of the appliance with a slightly damp soft sponge. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Storage
Before storing, make sure that the appliance and its accessories are cool and clean. Store the appliance and its accessories in a dry and well-ventilated place out of the reach of children or pets.
Do not place any objects on the appliance.
