Thank you for purchasing a SIGURO appliance. We are grateful for your trust and are pleased to introduce the device to you on the following pages and introduce you to all its functions and uses.

SAFETY INFORMATION

Please read this manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference.

  1. This appliance can be used by children 8 years of age and older and persons with reduced physical, sensory or with mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe manner and understand the potential hazards. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be carried out by children unless they are at least 8 years old and supervised. Keep the appliance and its power cord out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.
  2. Children must not play with the device.
  3. Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those for which it is intended.
  4. The appliance is not intended to be controlled by a programmer, external time switch or remote control.
  5. Always switch off the appliance and unplug it from the mains socket when not in use or when you plan to clean it.
  6. Do not use the appliance if it is not working properly, has been dropped on the ground, damaged or immersed in water. It is forbidden to use the appliance with a damaged power cord fork. Never repair the appliance yourself. Do not make any modifications to the appliance – there is a risk of electric shock. Have all repairs and adjustments to this appliance carried out by an authorized service centre.
  7. Do not disconnect the appliance from the mains socket by pulling the mains cable – there is a risk of damage to the mains cable/socket.
  8. Do not place heavy objects on the power cord. Make sure that the power cord does not hang over the edge of the table or touch sharp or hot surfaces.
  9. This appliance is intended for use in the home. Not intended for outdoor use. It is not intended for commercial or industrial use.
  10. The appliance is not intended for use in the bathroom.
  11. Do not place the appliance near heat sources or expose it to direct sunlight.
  12. Do not use the appliance in excessively dusty environments.
  13. Do not use the appliance near flammable or explosive substances.
  14. Avoid direct contact of the appliance with water. Do not touch the appliance or the power cord with wet hands.
  15. Always place the appliance on a flat, stable and dry surface to avoid vibration, noise or water leakage from the appliance.
  16. Place the appliance at least 30 cm away from surrounding objects and walls. Do not place objects within 50 cm of the top of the appliance.
  17. The appliance operates in an environment in which the temperature ranges from 5 to 35 °C.
  18. Before switching on the appliance, the water tank must always be properly positioned in the appliance. Do not remove the tray when the appliance is in operation.
  19. For optimum dehumidification efficiency, close the windows and doors to the MOM.
  20. Keep the air inlet and outlet openings clean. Do not insert any objects into them.
  21. When moving the appliance, switch it off and then unplug it from the socket. Before moving the appliance, first pour the water out of the condensate tank.
  22. To avoid the risk of fire, the appliance must not be stored in a room with an open flame, working gas appliance or electric heater.
  23. Do not insert any foreign objects into the appliance. Do not place any objects on the appliance.
  24. Never cover the appliance. The air inlet/outlet openings must not be blocked by anything.
  25. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
  26. Empty the water tank regularly (in extreme conditions the tank can fill up within a few hours of operation).
  27. Clean the filter regularly to ensure efficient operation of the appliance.
  28. When storing and handling the appliance, do not place it on its side or upside down and avoid strong shocks.
  29. If you do not use the appliance for a long time, dry it thoroughly from the inside.
  30. Ensure that no dust accumulates on the air inlet and outlet grille. If necessary, disconnect the appliance from the power supply. remove the appliance from the mains and regularly remove dust and dirt with the vacuum cleaner.
  31. Do not plug the appliance into the mains. do not plug the appliance into the mains using an extension cable.

REFRIGERANT R290 – ATTENTION FLAMMABLE!
The appliance includes R290 refrigerant, which is envi-ronmentally friendly but highly flammable. The appliance must not be stored in a room with equipment that can be a potential source of fire (e.g. open flames, gas appliances or electric heating). Do not pierce the appliance or throw it into a fire. Never repair the appliance yourself.
The equipment should be located, operated and stored in a room larger than 4 m2.

USE

Location

  • Place the dehumidifier on a firm, stable and level surface, at least 30 cm away from surrounding objects and walls.
  • Never expose the dehumidifier to heat sources, water, direct sunlight, shocks or excessively dusty environments.
    Using the buttons on the control panel

Child lock
The child lock is used to lock the control panel buttons. Press and hold this button for 3 seconds to activate/deactivate the child lock.
Fan speed setting
Button for switching the dehumidification speed between low and high. The current dehumidification rate will be shown by an indicator. The speed cannot be set in continuous dehumidification mode and night mode.
Setting the automatic on/off timer
Press this button sequentially to set the time interval for automatic switch- ing on or off. If the appliance is in standby mode, use this button to set the appliance to switch on automatically. If the appliance is running, use this button to set the appliance to switch off automatically.

  • Each press extends the set interval by 1 hour.

  • The possible range of timer settings is 1-12 hours.

  • The set time will be shown on the display. When “00” is displayed, the timer is off
    Humidity settings
    Press this button gradually to set the desired humidity between 30-80%. Humidity cannot be set in continuous dehumidification mode and night mode.

  • After the first press, the display shows the current humidity level.

  • Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to display the current air temperature.
    Mode switch
    Press this button gradually to set the desired dehumidification mode:

  • Automatic: automatic dehumidification according to the set target humidity and fan speed.

  • Continuous dehumidification: continuous capture of water from the air, but the target humidity cannot be set.

  • Night: humidity will be automatically maintained between 57 and 63%. Neither the target humidity nor the fan speed can be set. In night mode, the backlighting of the control panel and display will be dimmed.

    Switching the appliance on or off to standby mode.

Air humidity indicator
There is a humidity indicator on the body of the dehumidifier. Its colour tells you how humid the air is in the room where the appliance is located:

  • Blue: humidity is below 45%.
  • Green: humidity between 45 and 65%
  • Red: humidity higher than 65%

Methods of water discharge
The appliance allows two ways of draining water. Into the tank, which is inserted into the dehumidifier, or via a hose that can be inserted into the drain at the back of the unit. If you decide to drain the water with a hose:

  • Attach the hose to the drain hole located on the back of the unit under the air filter (6).
  • Feed the opposite end of the hose into a suitable drain (sink, bath, etc.).
  • Make sure that the water can flow freely and that there is no risk of the hose being blocked.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Make sure the device is turned off and unplugged.

  • Use a soft cloth with a neutral detergent to clean dust and dirt from the surface of the unit and air inlet/outlet.

  • After the device is completely dry, place it in a cool, well-ventilated place.

  • If you do not use the device for a long time, turn it on for a few minutes once in a while to ensure good performance.
    Air filter cleaning (every two weeks)

  • Dust collects on the filter and restricts airflow. Restricted airflow reduces the efficiency of the appliance and can damage the appliance if it becomes blocked.

  • The air filter requires regular cleaning. The air filter can be easily removed for this purpose. Do not operate the unit without an air filter, otherwise the evaporator may be damaged.
    Filter cleaning procedure:

  • Remove the filter cover and remove the filter.

  • Use the vacuum cleaner to gently vacuum the dust on the surface. If the filter is very dirty, wash it with water and a mild detergent and then dry it thoroughly.

  • Put the filter back in place.
