Use

This Device is designed for Philips sleep machines.

Supports:

• Philips Respironics Dorma
• Philips Respironics System One REMStar (60 series)
• Philips Respironics System One REMStar SE™

All sleep machines use the following wall adapters only:

Backup power time

Operation Instructions

1. Insert your PAP machine wall adapter into the input port of the Longmann device and the Longmann device cable into your PAP machine.
2. If your pap machine has an option under settings for ‘auto on’, make sure it is active under menu-settings.
3. Do not cover the device. Make sure the Longmann device is placed at least 10cm away from your PAP machine.

Humidifier settings

This device has been set to work with the humidifier setting 1, and can also power settings 2, 3, 4, and 5 with significantly reduced backup time.

Parameters for humidifier setting

·       Room temperature is above 28 degrees – the backup time increases to more than 5 hours, setting 1

·       Room temperature is below 24 degrees – the backup time decreases substantially
·       Mask not on face – the Longmann Device will shut down within 1 hour – the device will reset and restart when mains power resumes
·       Water level is above the waterline mark – the backup time decreases
·       Water Humidification container is not properly secured with Phillips PAP machine – the backup time decreases substantially
·       Air filters are not changed regularly – the backup time decreases substantially
·       Initial water temperature below 18 degrees – the backup time decreases substantially

Humidifier Troubleshooting

On UPS Backup Mode: If your sleep machine was initially set to higher than humidifier setting 1- in the event of a power failure after 5 minutes of runtime your sleep machine will beep “Low power alert”, In this case, change the humidifier setting to setting 1.

If your sleep machine does not beep the Longmann device will automatically switch the humidifier off but still keep the sleep machine on. When mains power resumes, the sleep machine will resume its humidifier settings.

This product is not waterproof and is suitable for indoor use only. Only for use with the original Philips AC/DC wall adaptor, this device is maintenance- free; do not try to disassemble this device.

Do not clean or wipe the device with any abrasive material or chemical. Use only dry cloth to dust the device. No liquid cleaning materials are allowed to be used. Do not drop or throw this device. This product should only be operated by an adult.
