INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

This hood is ducted. This means that the fumes are discharged out of the kitchen via a pipe connected by a connecting flange at the top of the hood. The duct is included in the package.

  • The diameter of the duct must be the same as the connecting flange.
  • In horizontal parts, the exhaust duct must be at a slight incline (approximately 10 °) and directed upwards for easy extraction of air from the room.
  • Pull the carbon filter out of the hood before installing the exhaust duct.
  • Connect the hood and the exhaust opening in the wall with the same diameter as the air outlet opening (connection flange).
  • The use of smaller diameter pipes will reduce the exhaust power and significantly increase the noise.
  • Use pipes with the shortest possible length.
  • Use pipes with as few bends as possible (maximum elbow angle is 90 °).
  • Use the smoothest exhaust pipes possible.
  • Exhaust pipes must be made of certified material.
  • Connect the hood to the appropriate ventilation duct. Do not connect to chimneys, flue, or flue ducts that are in operation. The hood must have a fitted exhaust pipe blowing the air outdoors. The length of the pipe (usually a pipe 0 120 or 150 mm) must not be longer than 4-5 m.
  • If possible, disconnect and remove the furniture under and around the installation space to gain better access to the wall on which the hood is to be installed.

OPERATION

Using the hood
  • We recommend switching on the hood before cooking and not switching it off earlier than 15 minutes after cooking. This will ensure the perfect extraction of all fumes from the room.
  • Turn on the fumes extraction by pressing 3. Switch it off with the same button.
  • You can use the buttons + (4) and – (2) to set the motor power, that is the exhaust speed after you turn the hood on.
  • This hood allows 9-speed settings. Once you reach the highest or the lowest speed level, the appropriate indicator under buttons 4 or 2 starts flashing.

Lighting
This hood is equipped with 2 LED bulbs. To turn the lighting on or off use button 1.

High-performance function (TURBO)
The hood is equipped with the TURBO function, which allows you to set a very high exhaust power for a short time.

  • To turn the TURBO function on, press button 5.
  • The hood switches off automatically after 5 minutes in this mode. However, if you press the button to decrease or increase the motor power while the TURBO function is running, the hood will switch from the TURBO function to the normal operating mode.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Filter maintenance
This hood treats the air it extracts using two types of filters – aluminum and carbon. While aluminum filters are located directly at the inlet of the fumes into the hood and trap grease from the air, carbon filters, which are located above the aluminum filters, are used to clean the air that is discharged back into the room. It is necessary to take care of both types of filters regularly.

Aluminum filters maintenance

  • Aluminum filters need to be cleaned after every 60 hours of hood operation.
  • When this time comes the 3 button starts flashing.
  • Pull out both filters by pushing the latch on each filter. Clean both filters with a mild detergent, by hand or in a dishwasher at a low temperature and for a short cycle. When washing in the dishwasher, the filter may become slightly discolored, but this will not affect its filtration capacity.

Carbon filters maintenance

  • Carbon filters need to be replaced with new ones about every 4 months.
  • Carbon filters cannot be washed and reused.

Extractor hood cleaning
Clean the hood regularly (at least as often as you maintain the aluminum grease filters) inside and out. Clean it with a cloth wetted in a neutral solution of detergent and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!
