Safety instructions for operation
Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there is a risk of death or injury.
- Keep the work area clean.
- The product must not be used in environments where explosion can occur.
- Do not use the product in wet environments. Do not expose the product to rain.
- Do not let children or unauthorized persons operate the product.
- Make sure that no persons, children or animals are in the work area during operation.
- Do not overload the product.
- Make sure to use the correct accessories for heavy-duty work.
- Use personal protective equipment. Refer to “2.4 Personal protective equipment” on page 10.
- Keep a firm foothold when you operate the product. Always stay close the product when you operate from a ladder.
- Keep the product clean. Make sure that no spanner or other tool is on the product when you start it. Keep the handles dry and free from oil and dirt.
- Always be careful and use your common sense.
- Do not use the product if you are tired.
- Examine the product before use. Do a check of the moving parts. Make sure that the product is not damaged. Do not use a damaged product.
- Before you operate the product, make sure that there are no mechanical or electrical installations in the work area.
- Do a check of the safety devices. Do not use a product with defective safety devices.
- Let an approved service technician repair or replace damaged parts.
Electrical safety
- Risk of electrical shock. Keep your body away from grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators.
- Make sure that the mains supply corresponds with the rated value for the product.
- Protect the power cord. Do not carry or pull the product.
- Stop the product and pull out the power plug when the product is not in use. Pull the plug, not the power cord.
- Keep the power cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
- Make sure that the on/off button is in the off position before you connect it to a mains supply.
- Do not hold your finger on the trigger when you connect the product to a mains supply.
- Only use applicable extension cords. If you work outdoors make sure to use an extension cord intended for outdoor use.
Personal protective equipment
- Always use ear protection.
- Always wear heavy-duty shoes and long trousers.
- Wear approved safety glasses or a visor.
- Wear rubber gloves.
- Wear a breathing mask if the work causes dust in the air.
Safety instructions for maintenance
Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there is a risk of death or injury.
- Stop the product and pull out the power cord before cleaning and maintenance of the product. Refer to “3.2 To use the product” on page 10.
- This product complies with international safety regulations. All repairs must be done by a approved service engineer. Only use original parts that are recommended by the manufacturer.
Operation
To connect the vibrator hose
- Stop the product and pull out the power cord.
- Connect the vibrator hose (5) to the motor (2).
- Turn the vibrator hose connector (6) counterclockwise until the vibrator hose is tight against the motor.
To use the product
Caution! Do not hold the product by the cord. That can cause damage to the electrical connectors.
- Put the product close to the work area. Make sure to put the product where the area is dry.
- Connect the power cord to the mains supply. If you work outdoors and use an extension cord, make sure to use an extension cord intended for outdoor use.
- Press the on/off button to start the product.
- Put the vibrator head in the concrete. The product becomes cool through contact with concrete.
- Move the vibrator head up and down in the concrete to remove air bubbles. If the vibrator head does not move, refer to “5 Troubleshooting” on page 11.
- Press the on/off button to stop the product and pull out the power plug when the work is complete.
- Clean the vibrator head after use. Refer to “4.1 To clean the product” on page 11.
Maintenance
Warning! Stop the product and pull out the power cord before you do maintenance of the product.
- Do a check of the power plug, the power cord and the on/off button after each use.
- Clean and lubricate the vibrator head and the vibrator hose after 100 hours of operation.
- If necessary, let an approver service technician repair the product.
To clean the product
- Do not expose the motor to wet conditions.
- Use water to clean the vibrator head.
- Clean the vibrator head after each use.
Troubleshooting
- If the vibrator head does not move when the product is on, tap it carefully against something hard.
- If it does not move after it is tapped, press the on/off button to stop the product and pull out the power plug. Do a check of the mechanical connections and the electrical connections.
Storage
- Keep the product in a dry area.
- Keep the product in a locked area to prevent access for children and unauthorized persons.
Disposal
To discard the product
Make sure that you follow the local regulations when you discard the product. Do not burn the product.
