INSTALLATION GUIDE – FASCIA

DASH DISASSEMBLY

  1. To begin, use a panel removal tool to unclip the climate control button panel. Be careful not to damage the surrounding trim.

  2. Once the climate control button panel is out of the way, proceed to undo the 2x torx screws located at the top of the aperture.

  3. Now open the glovebox, within the lip on the far side nearest to the passenger side door will be a recessed torx screw. Once this screw has been undone, proceed to fully remove the dashboard trim by means of a panel removal tool, disconnecting the button panel in the process.

  4. With the dashboard trim panel out of the way, proceed to undo the 4x highlighted torx screws that surround the main fascia trim. Once free, pull upwards away from the dash.

  5. When the main fascia trim has been removed, undo the 4x screws found on either side of the main unit and proceed to pull it out of the dash whilst disconnecting all of the wiring.
    KIT ASSEMBLY

  6. With the brackets aligned correctly, slot the unit into the dashboard and place the new fascia panel into the dashboard. Once happy with the fitment, screw into place using the pre-existing screws. ****

INSTALLATION GUIDE – WIRING

Before installing the interface, the factory stereo must be removed and disconnected. To do this, please consult the vehicle owner’s manual/handbook or contact a fitting professional.
For universal patch leads, prepare the wiring loops in accordance with the instruction manual supplied before installation.

  1. Connect the 12 Pin connector from the stereo connection (patch) lead to the interface box.

  2. Connect the opposite end of the stereo connection (patch) lead to the steering wheel control input on the back of the aftermarket stereo.
NOTE: This may be a 3.5mm jack connector or a wired input depending on the brand of aftermarket stereo being fitted. Please consult the aftermarket stereo installation manual for further information on where to make the connection.
IMPORTANT: THIS STEP MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE CONNECTING POWER TO THE INTERFACE.
FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN A LACK OF FUNCTIONALITY AND THE NEED TO REINSTALL THE PRODUCT

  3. Connect the 14 Pin connector from the supplied wiring loom to the interface box.

  4. Connect the power/speaker ISO connector to the power/speaker ISO connector at the rear of aftermarket stereo.
Note: For aftermarket stereos which do not have an ISO connector, please see ‘Wiring Key’ on Pg.2 for information on which wires to connect.

  5. Connect any additional flying wires from the harness to the head unit as required.
Note: Additional ‘flying’ wires can be connected to the vehicle to support various features i.e. parking brake trigger, reverse gear and speed pulse. Details of these can be found under ‘Additional Connections’.

  6. Connect 4 Pin camera extension harness to the interface box.

  7. Connect the male Yellow RCA from the camera extension harness to the reverse camera input of the aftermarket head unit.

  8. If fitting an aftermarket reverse camera, connect the cameras RCA to the female Yellow RCA connector on the extension lead.
If you are retaining the OEM reverse camera, connect the RCA on the harness to the female Yellow RCA connector on the extension lead.

  9. Connect the vehicle specific connector on the supplied harness to the OEM connector from the vehicle.

  10. Connect the vehicle specific antenna supplied between the OEM connector from the vehicle and the rear of the new stereo.

  11. Test stereo and steering wheel control functionality for correct operation before reassembling the vehicle dashboard. If steering wheel control functions are unresponsive, please uninstall the interface and wiring and reinstall carefully in accordance with the above steps.
