Starting and operating
-
Make sure that the socket to which you want to connect the dehumidifier has the same voltage as stated on the rating plate: 220-240V ~ 50Hz.
Plug it into the socket; the device beeps. -
Press the on / off button. The display shows the “operating symbol” and the current humidity. When the “in operation symbol” flashes, the humidity is lower than the set humidity.
-
Press the humidity up or humidity down button to set the percentage of the humidity. Each time you press the humidity up and humidity down buttons, you set the desired humidity to 1% higher or lower. If the set humidity is more than 3% lower than the current humidity, the device starts operating until the current value is 3% lower than the set humidity. Then the device turns off.
-
If you set the humidity to less than 30%, the device will continuously dehumidify. The display will then show “CO”.
-
The appliance is equipped with an hour meter, which counts how many hours your appliance has worked in total (in units of 10 minutes).
-
Press the ON/OFF button again in order to switch the device off. The device will come to a halt and the display goes out.
Note:
-
If the set humidity is higher than the actual humidity, the device will not come on.
If you are dehumidifying, the fan motor and the compressor will run for at least three minutes before the compressor starts. The compressor may not be -
When the temperature is low, keep an eye on whether the device needs to defrost. When defrosting, the relevant light will come on and the fan will run but the compressor will automatically switch off.
-
The devices have an automatic memory that automatically stores the settings and also saves if the power supply fails or is interrupted. Once the power supply has been restored, the device will start to work according to the previously entered settings.
-
The display will show a humidity level of 30% to 90%.
-
Remove the plug from the socket if you do not plan to use the device for an extended period.
-
If the water collecting tank is full, the light will come on and the compressor and fan will automatically shut down. You will also hear a beep. If you do not drain the water collection tank, the beep will be repeated every 5 minutes. Only once the water collection tank has been emptied can the device be used again.
-
You can install a continuous drain by removing the water collection tank, taking the rubber bung out on the side of the water collection tank and connecting a hose to this outlet. Then replace the water collection tank and run the hose from the device (downwards) to a suitable drainage point.
-
In order to avoid damaging the compressor, never place the dehumidifier on a slope of over 45°.
The device works between 5°C and 32°C. -
When being used, the compressor will emit heat which can increase the ambient temperature by between 1 and 3°C. This is perfectly normal.
If the indoor temperature is lower than 10°C and air humidity is pretty low, you will not need to use the device. -
Ensure that there is at least 10 cm of free space between the air inlet and the outlet opening and any solid objects, e.g. a wall.
Try to ensure that the room is as well sealed as possible in order to improve the dehumidification result.
Cleaning
Too much dust on the filter will impact the device’s ability to dehumidify. Clean the filter regularly (at least once a month); if the device is placed in a dusty environment, you should clean it weekly or even daily. To do so, open the front panel and take the filter (1) out. Remove the loose dust by carefully knocking the filter. Then vacuum the filter gently or wash it in lukewarm water with a little, mild soap. Leave to dry thoroughly before repositioning in the device (follow the above instructions in reverse order). Never use the dehumidifier without a filter! If also the element (2) is dirty, you can clean it carefully with a brush, see fig. The housing and the water reservoir can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent. Never use corrosive or abrasive products as these could damage the finish. Always remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any cleaning work!
