IR MOTION SENSOR

FUNCTIONS
  • Day/night function: The motion sensor switches your lights on as soon as you want. With the LUX button you can set from how much lux the lamps should be switched on. This can be up to 10 lux (turn towards the minus). If you turn the knob all the way to the right, the motion detector can also be used during the day.
  • Time delay: You can use the TIME button to set how long the lamps should remain lit after a movement is detected (10 sec to 7 min). Each newly recognized movement resets the timer.
  • The switch: “ON” (always turned on),“OFF” (always turned off),“PIR” (sensor).
INSTALLATION
  1. Turn off the power.
  2. Loosen the screws on the bottom of the sensor. (Fig. 2)
  3. Insert the wire into connection hole and tighten the screws. (Fig. 2)
  4. Check if it is connected according to (Fig. 1).
  5. Screw the sensor into the junction box. (Fig. 2)
  6. Turn on the power and test it.

TEST BEFORE USE

  1. Set the function switch to “ON”, set “TIME” counterclockwise to minimum, “LUX” clockwise to maximum.
  2. Turn on the power, the lamp should be on.
  3. Set the function switch to “OFF”, the lamp should be off immediately.
  4. Set the function switch to “PIR”, turn on the power. When the sensor receives the induction signal, the lamp turns on. Although there is no other induction signal, the load should stop working within 10 sec ± 3 sec and the lamp should turn off.
  5. Set “LUX” counterclockwise to the minimum, if the ambient light is more than 3LUX, the inductor load should not work after the load stops working. If the ambient light is less than 3LUX (dark), the sensor would work. If there is no induction signal, the load should stop working within 10 sec ± 3 sec.

PROBLEM SOLVING

THE LOAD DOES NOT WORK

  1. Please check if the connection of power source and load is correct.
  2. Please check if the ambient temperature is too high.
  3. Please check if the settings of working light correspond to ambient light.

THE SENSITIVITY IS POOR

  1. Please check if there is any hindrance in front of the detector to affect it to receive the signals.
  2. Please check if the ambient temperature is too high.
  3. Please check if the induction signal source is in the detection field.
  4. Please check if the installation height corresponds to the height required in the instruction.
  5. Please check if the moving orientation is correct.

THE SENSOR CAN NOT SHUT OFF THE LOAD AUTOMATICALLY

  1. Please check if there is continual signal in the detection field.
  2. Please check if the time delay is set to the maximum position.
  3. Please check if the power corresponds to the instruction.

WARNINGS

  • When testing in daylight, please turn LUX knob to (SUN) position, otherwise the sensor lamp could not work!
  • If the lamp is more than 60W, the distance between lamp and sensor should be 60cm at least.
  • Avoid pointing the detector towards objects with highly reflective surfaces, such as mirrors etc.
  • Avoid mounting the detector near heat sources, such as heating vents, air conditioning units, light etc.
  • Avoid pointing the detector towards objects that may move in the wind, such as curtains, tall plants etc.
  • Must be installed by professional electrician.
  • Danger of death through electric shock!
