  • Plug with L written on it plugs in between Left Taillight and the main vehicle wire harness.
  • Plug With R written on it plugs between the green plug behind the rear cargo panel.

The L plug has an optional Green Reverse signal wire coiled up between it. This cable is not typically used in trailers and does not go through the power converter. It is an OPTIONAL feature. It is recommended that the green Reverse wire is used as a relay trigger wire if used.

  3. Locate the GREEN plug behind your rear cargo panel, This plug is located below your rear windshield washer reservoir bag, Unplug it.CRUISER-HEAD-FJ60-62-Plug-and-Play-Trailer-Harness-fig-5

  4. Take the 4-pin plug from the 3-2 Converter and feed it below your truck through the rubber grommet as pictured.CRUISER-HEAD-FJ60-62-Plug-and-Play-Trailer-Harness-fig-6

  5. Unspool the entire Trailer Harness and feed through the same grommet as in step 4. Plug the 7pin barrel converter into the 3-2 converter and pull all slack wire into the truck, use the wire securing tabs from your vehicle to secure the harness in place under the truck.CRUISER-HEAD-FJ60-62-Plug-and-Play-Trailer-Harness-fig-7

  6. Plug-in connectors

    • Plug connector with L on it in between the Left Taillight and the main wire harness
    • Plug the connector with the R on it between the GREEN plugs as mentioned in Step 3.
    • Plug the 3-2 Converter’s black power wire into the main trailer harness.
Do not use double-sided adhesive on the converter until the entire harness has been fed through your truck.
  7. Remove the front kick panel, Bottom plastic trim pieces, and the seatbelt cover carefully with a Phillips screwdriver from the left side of your car. Feed wire in the existing wire channel from your FJ60/62. The harness should feed through the left-hand side up to the front footwell. At the front footwell coil up the rest of the blue cable and tuck it away, or if applicable use it with the existing trailer brake controller. Feed wire through either the Left- or Right-hand engine firewall grommets (The large grommets can be easily found through your engine bay on either the far left- or right-hand side of the firewall), be sure to leave slack in the harness to tuck away wire hidden away by trim.CRUISER-HEAD-FJ60-62-Plug-and-Play-Trailer-Harness-fig-8
Remove lower door trim from the front and rear left-hand side doors, as well as the front left kick panel. Pull out the rubber molding if required. Hide wire under plastic trim.

  8. Depending on if you choose to feed this harness through the Right or Left engine bay grommets, follow either the dotted or dashed lines as pictured for a wire path. If applicable use the pre-existing metal wire tabs to secure the harness to the firewall. When you get to the right side of the truck with the battery feed the harness through the fender. Avoid feeding the harness where it will be in contact with sharp edges or hang loose. Do not let the harness come in direct contact with moving or hot engine components.CRUISER-HEAD-FJ60-62-Plug-and-Play-Trailer-Harness-fig-9

  9. Once all slack in the harness has been situated, re-install all trim pieces and secure the 3-2 converter with the pre-applied double-sided tape. Do not mount the converter outside of your cabin or anywhere where it could get wet.CRUISER-HEAD-FJ60-62-Plug-and-Play-Trailer-Harness-fig-10

  10. Connect the white cable to the negative battery post and the black cable with the red cable fuse to the positive battery post. Tuck away any loose wire and test the system.
