Using the belt clip
The belt clip (10) can be used to temporarily hook the product on a work belt
while working.
- Before storing, set the rotation direction selector (9) to the center position to prevent the product from accidentally starting.
Application tips
Drilling
- To prevent cracking of drill holes (e.g. while drilling tiles), start to drill with a low rotation speed and then increase the speed.
- Using a slow starting speed also helps to prevent the bit from moving out of place. Increase the speed once the bit “engages” into the workpiece.
- Always hold the device at a right angle to the drill hole. Holding it at an angle may cause slipping or jamming of the bit.
- The harder the material, the greater the pressure you need to apply when drilling.
- Do not use force or apply side pressure to deepen or elongate a hole.
- Centre-punch the drill hole to prevent the drill from moving or slipping at the beginning of the drilling process.
- Use lower speeds for harder materials and/or larger drill diameters.
- Use higher speeds for softer materials and/or smaller drill diameters.
- Lubricate the tip of the drill from time to time with cutting oil, depending on the material of the workpiece.
- If the hole to be drilled is fairly large, drill a smaller hole first, then enlarge to the required diameter.
- Use an even speed and adjust the pressure to prevent the bit from overheating.
- When drilling through holes, place a block of wood behind the workpiece to prevent fraying or chipping edges at the back of the drill hole.
Material | Symbol | Gear | Rotation speed |
---|---|---|---|
Steel | 1 | High | |
Tiles | 1 | Low | |
Wood | 2 | High |
Screwing
After reaching the preset torque, the device’s torque limiting mechanism
starts to “rattle”. This process should not last longer than 1-2 seconds.
- The working procedure is divided into two steps: Screwing and tightening (torque limiting mechanism enabled). The torque limiting mechanism is activated as soon as the screwed connection is tight and load is put on the motor (the power of the motor is limited by the “rattling”).
- Only place the power tool on the screw or nut when the tool is switched off. Rotating insertion tools can slip off and damage the screw or nut.
- During use, start with a slow rotation speed and increase it in the course of work if needed. The rotation speed can be controlled by pressing the on/off switch with varying pressure.
- It is recommended to perform the first few turns manually by hand with a wrench or screwdriver to ensure that the thread screws incorrectly.
- Do not apply too much pressure when screwing. This may damage the thread.
- Before screwing larger/longer wood screws, it is advisable to predrill a pilot hole with the core diameter of the thread to approx. 2/3 of the given screw length.
- Always hold the drill perpendicular to the screw. Holding it at an angle may cause slipping or jamming of the bit.
Troubleshooting
No function, the appliance does not switch on
- The battery is depleted. Charge the battery using the corresponding charger.
- The battery is not correctly inserted into the battery compartment (8) on the appliance.
- The screw is too tight or the drill has jammed. This causes the motor to overload when it starts up and switches it off. Loosen the screw by hand slightly or remove the drill from the workpiece.
- The motor is overheated. Allow the device to cool down.
Drilling performance is poor
- The drill bit is blunt and must be replaced or reground.
- The drill bit is not suitable for the processed material.
Abnormal vibrations occur
- The quick-action chuck (1) is not tightened properly.
- The drill or screwdriver bit is bent.

Under no circumstances should you service any of the components in the interior of the product, therefore never open/dismantle it. Repair and maintenance work (including opening the product) must be done by a technician or specialist repair center. Do not allow water or moisture to get inside the device. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the product. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals. Improper cleaning agents can cause discoloration on the plastic surface. Never use scouring agents, alcohol, petrol, spirits or other similar liquids to clean the product. Wear protective gloves during maintenance and cleaning work to prevent injury from sharp edges.
Maintenance
- Check the device and insertion tools for signs of wear and tear before and after each use.
- Replace or regrind drill bits when they have become blunt.
- Replace screwdriver bits if they are deformed or otherwise worn out by use.
Cleaning
- Always clean the product immediately after use to prevent dust and dirt from settling.
- Keep dust and dirt off the safety mechanisms, ventilation slots, and housing.
- Thorough cleaning keeps the product in a usable condition and prolongs its lifespan. A good craftsman is careful with his tools!
- Remove drilling dust and other dirt using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner. Compressed air (at low pressure) can also be used.
- Use a dry, clean, and lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the product.
