General Power Tool Safety Warnings
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery- operated (cordless) power tool.

Work area safety

  • Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
  • Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
  • Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

Electrical safety

  • Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
  • Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.

Personal safety

  • Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
  • Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
  • Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
  • Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
  • Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
  • Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
  • Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
  • If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.

Power tool use and care

  • Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
  • Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
  • Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
  • Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.
  • Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
  • Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
  • Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into ac-count the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

Service

  • Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

Compressor
Transportation

  • Do not use an attached air hose to carry or move the compressor. Always use the handle when transporting the product.

  • Place the product on a firm, level surface.
  • Never use the product in in areas where work is conducted with sprayed water.
  • Never operate the product if acids, vapors, explosive gases, or inflammable gases present.
  • Only operate the product where there is good ventilation and an ambient temperature ranges from +5 to +40 ºC. Risk of falling! Never operate product on a roof or other elevated position. Use an additional air hose to reach high locations.

Before use

  • Inspect the product for cracks, pin holes, or other imperfections that could make the product unsafe to use.
  • Before connecting the product to the power supply make sure the data on the rating plate is identical to the rechargeable battery.
  • Make sure that the intake air is dry and dust free.
  • Use flexible hoses to prevent transmitting unacceptable loads to the pipeline system at the connection between the compressor system and the pipeline system. Avoid long air lines.

During use

  • Protect material lines and air lines from damage or puncture. Keep hose and power cord away from sharp objects, chemical spills, oil, solvents and wet floors.
  • The pressure gauge on the compressor is for reference only. To reduce the risk of over inflation, use an accurate pressure gauge periodically during inflation. Never block the inflating outlets while operating.
  • Risk of overinflation
    • Never leave a compressor unattended with the air hose attached to the item being inflated.
    • Stand 3 m away from the object that is being inflated.
    • Do not adjust the regulator knob higher than marked max. pressure of the attachment.
    • When using with objects the compressor output pressure is greater than marked maximum pressure of item to be inflated. Do not use for objects with a rated pressure less than 8 bar (approx. 116 psi).
    • Carefully monitor objects during inflation.
    • Do not exceed the pressure rating of any component in the system.

Risk of fire/explosion

Respiratory protection

  • Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask during use to protect against dust or debris in the air.

Risk to breathing (asphyxiation )

  • Compressed air is not safe for breathing. The air stream can contain carbon monoxide, toxic vapors, or solid particles from the air tank.
  • Breathing these contaminants can cause serious injury or death.

Attachments and accessories

  • Exceeding the pressure rating of air tools, spray guns, accessories, tires, and other inflatables can cause them to explode or fly apart, and could result in serious injury.
  • Use supply hoses rated for 8 bar or more

Risk from projectiles

  • Never direct compressed air towards people or animals. The compressed air stream can propel dirt, chips, loose particles, and small objects at high speed, resulting in property damage and/or personal injury.

Pressure switch
The pressure switch automatically:

  • starts the motor when the air tank pressure drops below the factory set “cut-in” pressure.
  • stops the motor when the air tank pressure reaches the factory set “cut-out” pressure. See section “18 Technical data”

Safety valve
If the pressure switch does not shut off the air compressor at the “cut-out” pressure setting, the safety valve will protect against high pressure by engaging at the a factory set pressure (which is slightly higher than the pressure switch “cut-out” setting). See section “18 Technical data”

Operation

WARNING
Risk of unsafe operation.

  • Firmly hold the air hose in hand when installing or disconnecting to prevent hose whip.
  • Check the air tank for signs of rust and damage before each use.
  • Do not use the compressor with a damaged or rusty air tank. If you discover any damage, consult a specialist workshop or contact customer service.

WARNING
Risk of over-pressure

  • When inflating items rated for 0.7 bar (approx. 10 psi) or less, inflate in short bursts and check after each burst by feel or determine accurate pressure using a calibrated measuring device.
  • Too much air pressure causes a hazardous risk of bursting inflated object.
  • Observe the manufacturer’s maximum pressure rating for air tools and accessories.
  • Make sure the regulator is set to a pressure lower than the maximum operating pressure of the connected tool.

Important:
Duty cycle:

  • To prolong the life of the product do not operate continuously.
  • A duty cycle of 10 minutes ON/10 minutes OFF is recommended.
  1. Make sure the power is switched OFF.
