Hardware Connection

Router Setup

Note: The default access mode is: “Router Mode (DHCP) “, if you want to switch to another mode, click “Change Mode – Easy Setup”. “Router Mode” and “WISP Mode” are used as examples.

Router Mode(PPPOE)

Mobile config wireless router

1. You can use mobile phone to connect wireless signal, wireless name is Redline-XX.XX
   
   Note: If you use PC to config wireless router, please reference setup 2

2. You can access web type “192.168.16.1” into config main page.
   Default use account password: admin printed on the label at the bottom of the router.
   

3. Click the “WAN Setup~ and fill in your Account and Password provided by your ISP, Click “Save.
   
   Note:
   Home network please choice one from PPPOE and DHCP
   A.ONU access please provide account from ISP
   B. Router access please choice DHCP mode

4. Create a Network Name (SSID) and Password for your Wireless Network, Click Save.
   
   Your router is already set up here, wait about 1 minute, please reconnect your WiFi name.

Access Point Mode

In this mode, the router transforms your existing wired network to a wireless one.

• Power on the router.
• Connect the router’s WAN port to your wired router’s Ethernet port via an Ethernet cable as shown above.
• Connect a computer to the router via an Ethernet cable or wirelessly by using the SSID (network name)
• Launch a local IP and enter 192.168.16.1 in the address bar and default user account password: admin printed on the label at the bottom of the router.
• Click Next to start the Easy Setup. Select Access Point and follow the step-by-step instructions of the Easy Setup to set up the internet connection.

Enjoy the internet!
Note: Using this AP Mode, this router IP address is synchronized to the address of the superior router .

WISP Mode

In this mode, the router boosts the existing wireless coverage in your home.

Configure

• Place the router next to your host router and power it on.
• Connect a computer to the router via an Ethernet cable or wirelessly by using the SSID (network name)
• Launch a web browser and enter 192.168.16.1 in the address bar and default use account password: admin printed on the label at the bottom of the router.
• Click Next to start the Quick Setup. Select Range Extender and follow the step-by-step instructions to set up the internet connection.

Relocate

Place the router about halfway between your host router and the Wi-Fi “dead” zone. The location you choose must be within the range of your existing host network.
