Secure-Tec Automatic Extension Lead
Introduction
Please read the operating instructions carefully.
Keep the operating instructions and give them to each user of the multiple
socket. For the use of the multiple socket observe the safety instructi- ons
contained i n the operating instructions.
For questions on spare parts or repairs please contact the manufacturer.

Please observe the following safety instructions.
Failure to comply with the instructions can result in personal injury and
damage.
Damages caused by failure t o comply with the operating instructions,
especially the safety and handling instructions, void the warranty.
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any subsequent damage.
Danger

Make sure you check the multiple socket for damages before use. Do not use the
multiple socket i f the cable insulations or the casing are damaged.
- To avoid danger, a damaged connecting line of the multiple socket should be replaced by the manufacturer, by a Service representative or a skilled technician only.
- Do not manipulate or alter the multiple socket.
- Repairs should be performed by a skilled technician only.
- Keep the multiple socket away from children.
- Operate only one device per device.
- Do not cover the multiple socket during operation.
Proper use
The multiple socket should be used in dry rooms exclusively for private
purposes. Do not use the multiple socket near liquids that might leak or spout
( e.g.aquarium).

Functionality and Operation Main switch
With the two-pole, illuminated main switch the extension socket can be
switched off completely.
Surge protection
The built i n surge voltage suppressor prevents appliances connected to the
multiple socket outlet from being damaged by voltage peaks in the mains, e.g.
as a result of indirect lightning strikes or the activation of inductive
loads, such as motors, hea- ters, lamps, etc. For a correct operation, the
multi- ple socket must be connected to asocket with a professionally installed
protective earth. ting that surge voltage protection is effective. In case of
a direct lightning strike, due to the extre-mely high energy generated,
complete protection of the connected devices cannot be guaranteed. You can get
the highest level of surge protection with a multi-level concept consisting of
coarse and medium protection (installation technology) toget-her with our fine
protection per EN 61643-11 type 3. When the socket outlet is switched on, the
green indicator lamp lights up, showing that the surge voltage protection
circuit is active. If it does not light up, an acoustic alarm will sound at
the same time and the sockets will be isolated from the mains power supply. To
check whether this condition can be reset, press the 16 A automatic circuit
breaker. If this fails, the protection is spent and the sockets will continue
to be de-energised.
Insurance protection for connected devices Brennenstuhl guarantees the surge
characteristics up to the technical specifications indicated on the type label
of the relevant product. If the product is used correctly, Brennenstuhl
assumes any repair or exchange of all devices directly connected to the surge
protection product and that are proven to have been damaged by surge, if the
following applies: damage must arise from the non-obser-vance of the described
protection function accor-to persons and property within our product liabi-
lity amounting up to 5 million euros.
Maintenance and cleaning
The multiple socket i s maintenance-free.

Never clean the multiple socket when it is energised.
Remove the plug from the outlet before cleaning.
Never immerse the multiple socket i n water.

Disposal
Do not dispose of electrical appliances together with household waste! mam
According to the European Directive 2012/19/EC on waste electrical and
electronic equipment, used electric equipment should be disposed of separately
and environmentally- friendly recycled.
