D-Link COVR-1100 Wireless Mesh Router
Configuration using APP.
- COVR-1100 is a wireless mesh router that can be paired with more devices (up to 4) to creates a whole home wi-fi system. You should be using D-Link wi-fi app for the configuration of this device.
- There are two modes supported by this device. Router mode and Bridge mode. If you connect it directly with the ISP line, then you need to configure as Router mode and if there is a existing router then you can configure it as bridge mode.
- On the backside of the device there are two ports. Ethernet port and Internet port. To configure in router mode, connect the ISP cable to the router in Internet port. Connect the mobile phone to the wireless network of the covr-1100 and launch the D-Link wi-fi app.
- Click on Set up New Network.
- Click Next.
- Click Next.
- If you get this message, then you can reconnect to the wireless network of the router.
- On this screen you will get the option to change the wireless name and password of the router. If you change it then you will have to reconnect the new network name.
- Set the admin password here.
- If you want to connect more covr-1100 devices to this main point then just connect the slave device to the master covr point with a ethernet cable from lan to lan port and wait for the led on the device to become white in color. Once it becomes white then you can remove the ethernet cable and place the slave device at a location where it is receiving wireless signal from the main covr point.
