Instructions Manual
Please read the following instructions carefully before connecting this timer
to electrical appliances.
Warning: DO NOT PLUG TWO OR MORE TIMERS TOGETHER! DO NOT IMMERSE TIMER IN
WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
Important
Don’t plug in an appliance where the load exceeds 16 Amp. Always ensure the
plug of any appliance is fully inserted into the outlet of the timer. If
cleaning of the timer is required, remove it from power and wipe it with a dry
cloth. Heaters and similar appliances should never be left unattended during
operation. Those appliances are not recommended to be connected with the
timer.
Modell IP44 (for outdoor use)
To guarantee protection class IP44, the clock time should only be plugged into
electrical outlets of protection class IP44. When used with an IP 20
electrical outlet, complete protection from moisture and humidity is not
guaranteed.

- Automatic return/rapid transfer to clock display mode.

Charging the Batteries
Before using the appliance, the batteries already installed in the appliance should be charged for approx. 14 hours. For this, the appliance must be plugged into the mains socket. The function of the batteries is to save the measurements and programs.
Initial operation
- Plug the timer into a regular 230 Volts power outlet and turn the power on. Leave for approximately 14 hours to charge the Memory Back-up battery.
- Clear all current information by pressing R button with a sharp object such as a pen or pencil after charging.
- The timer is now ready to be set up for use.
Current time setting
- Hold on OK button for over at least 5 seconds under Clock mode, the WEEK DAY is flashing. you can set the current time now.
- Press UP or DOWN button to choose the desired setting.
- Press OK button to confirm it and the HOUR is flashing.
- Repeat step 2-3 until all the data have been set.
- To reset the time, just repeat the above steps.
- Press and hold ▼ (DOWN) key for over 3 seconds to turn the time display between 12 and 24 hour mode during clock display status.
Program setting
With this timer, you can set up to 20 ON/OFF programs. To do this, carry out
the steps as described in the example below. Please note that if you don’t
press any button for 10 seconds, the timer will automatically return to the
clock display mode. Alternatively you may press the MODE button.
Example for setting program 1:
MO 7:35 ON / MO 16:25 OFF. In the above example, the clock switches on at 7:35
and off at 16:25 on Monday.
- Press the MODE key until PROG 1 ON displays and flashes. The program 1 ON mode is shown in Fig. 1 without any setting.
- Press OK key to confirm it, PROG 1 ON stop flashing and Weekday box starts flashing.
- With the ▲ (UP) or ▼ (DOWN) key, select the weekday on which program 1 should be switched on and off. The day display then goes through all 15 possible programs e.g. Mo-SU in succession, then repeats itself. In this example, you would press OK as soon as MO appeared in the display.
- Now the Hour box should flash. With the ▲ (UP) or ▼ (DOWN) key, set this box to 7, then press the OK key.
- Now the Minute box should flash. With the ▲ (UP) or ▼ (DOWN) key, set this box to 35, then press the OK key.
- To conclude the setting of program 1, press the OK key. The display will now resemble that shown in Fig. 2.
- To switch off program 1 at 16:25, press the ▲ (UP) or ▼ (DOWN) key until PROG 1 OFF appears in the display, then carry out the same steps as for program 1 ON.
- If you wish to set a number of programs, press the ▲ (UP) or ▼ (DOWN) key until PROG 2 ON is displayed. Carry out the steps described above to set all the other programs.
- During the programs setting, press the ▲ (UP) and ▼ (DOWN) key simultaneously, the programs data input are cancelled and the LCD displays — :— with full week days. Pressing the ▲ (UP) and ▼ (DOWN) key simultaneity again, the data cancelled can be recalled.
Countdown timing function
By means of the Countdown function, the timer can be switched on or off for
any period from 1 second to 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. To set the
Countdown time proceed as follows
- Press MODE key until ON and CD flash, and press the OK key to confirm it, ON and CD will stop flashing and Hour box will flash at same time.
- With the ▲ (UP) or ▼ (DOWN) key, set this box to 3, then press the OK key confirm it, Hour box will stop flashing, the Minute box should then flash.
- With the ▲ (UP) or ▼ (DOWN) key, set this box to 13, then press the OK key, Minute box will stop flashing, the Second box should then flash.
- With the ▲ (UP) or ▼ (DOWN) key, set this box to 8, then press the OK key.
- Press the OK key to conclude the countdown setting. The display will now resemble that shown in Fig. 3. The Countdown time will reduce with each second.
- Under countdown function, pressing OK key, the countdown programs can be stopped and restarted.
Random function
The timer features an integral random function, with which it is switched
on and off at random intervals. This is particularly useful for protecting
your home during your absence.
Note: when the Random is activated, the preset Program ON/OFF will be
delayed 2-30 minutes.
Example Random function:
Time set RND
- Program 1 ON 10:00 h 10:02 … 10:30 h
- Program 1 OFF 15:00 h 15:02 … 15:30 h
- Program 2 ON 17:15 h 17:17 … 17:45 h
- Program 2 OFF 19:30 h 19:32 … 20:00 h
- Click MODE button to RND appear as show in Fig. 4.
- Click OK button, the timer enter random switching function as show in Fig. 5.
- Deactivating random function, just press MODE key until RND flash and press the OK key to confirm it.
Summer time/winter time
To convert GMT to summer time, press the ▲ (UP) key for over 3 seconds under
the clock status, S appear in LCD, the present time will advance by one hour;
press the ▲ (UP) key for 3 seconds again, S disappear in LCD, clock go back
winter time.
Manual on/off, Auto on/off setting
The timer can be switched on or off at any time by pressing MODE and OK key
without affecting any programs set before. To switch the timer on, off or auto
programming, press the MODE key and press the OK key to confirm it.
- Set AUTO OFF status (Fig. 7) Socket is currently off -> time programs are activated. Press MODE key one time, AUTO OFF flash, then press the OK key to confirm it.
- Set ON status (Fig. 8) Socket is permanently on -> time programs are deactivated. Press MODE key second times, ON flash, then press the OK key to confirm it.
- Set AUTO ON status (Fig. 9) Socket is currently on -> time programs are activated. Press MODE key third times, AUTO ON flash, then press the OK key to confirm it.
- Set OFF status (Fig. 10) Socket is permanently off -> time programs are deactivated. Press MODE key fourth time, OFF flash, then press the OK key to confirm it.
Note:
- a. Only the timer is in AUTO ON or AUTO OFF mode, the timer programs, Count DOWN programs and Random functions will be executed.
- b. The priority of the function is random function, the Countdown function, PROG ON/OFF function.
- c. By pressing MODE key until 1 ON displays, then press ▲ (UP) or ▼ (DOWN) to see the program set.
