valve via the brennenstuhi*Connect fadiator thermostat.
INSTALLATION INFORMATION / DISTANCE TO SOURCES OF INTERFERENCE
This device works with the 2.4 GHz Zigbee protocol. The reach within buildings
may strongly differ from the one in open areas.
Apart from the transmission power and the reception properties of the
receivers, environmental influences such as air humidity and the structural
situation on site play an important role.
The reach may be considerably reduced by:
- Walls made of wood, plasterboard, concrete, reinforced concrete
- Proximity to metal and conductive objects
- Broadband interference, e.g. in residential areas (DECT phones, mobile phones, radio headphones, radio speakers, radio weather stations, baby monitoring systems)
- Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power supply units, computers

fastening systems. If possible, use the original instructions of the radiator
thermostat for disassembly. First of all, set the original heating controller
to the maximum value (A) by rotating it counterclockwise.
The valve is completely opened and the controller no longer pushes on the
valve pin. Different disassembly options:
Union nut
Screw off the union nut by rotating it counterclockwise (B). Afterwards, you
can remove the thermostat head.
Snap fastening
You can easily loosen thermostat heads fastened in this way be rotating the
lock/union nut a little bit counterclockwise (C).
Afterwards, you can remove the thermostat head The system is only suitable for
controlling radiators. Any other use e.g. at cooling systems or underfloor
heatings etc. is not admissible.
INFORMATION ON THE USE OF THE RADIATOR THERMOSTAT WITH THE
BRENNENSTUHL°CONNECT APP
To be able to enjoy the full functionality of the radiator thermostat, you
need the brennenstuhl® Zigbee gateway GWY CZ 01 art. no. 1294060 to use the
brennenstuhlConnect app and for connection into the network.
The gateway is the connection between the WiFi network and the
brennenstuhlConnect Zigbee radio products. To be able to use battery-operated
products for a longer period of time, it is necessary to use the Zigbee radio
technology.
INSTALLATION
-
Keep the setting wheel pressed for 3 seconds before mounting the radiator thermostat on the heating valve.
-
Shortly before F1 and the installation symbol flash, the radiator thermostat vibrates gently.
Please turn to continue reading → -
Now screw the radiator thermostat on the valve by means of the union nut (for Danfoss valves, use the enclosed adapter). Slightly push the union nut forwards and rotate it clockwise onto the valve thread. The maximum torque of 5 Nm must not be exceeded.
-
Keep the setting wheel pressed again until F12 appears.
-
After ca. 10 seconds, the installation symbol goes out and the current temperature is displayed. The installation is completed.
INSTALLATION / ADJUSTMENT DRIVE
- After the installation, the radiator thermostat is automatically adjusted to the radiator valve. For this purpose, the radiator thermostat opens and closes the valve to determine the opened position and the closed position of the heating valve.
- If the process ends with an error, check whether the union nut is still screwed tight or whether the adapter has loosened. Afterwards, remove the batteries for 10 seconds.
Then, re-insert the batteries into the radiator thermostat and activate the installation mode to start the automatic adjustment.
