  • A. AC Power Input Main power input.

  • B. Volume Control Adjusts volume.

  • C. Low Pass Filter Adjusts the upper end of frequency response.

  • D. Phase Control Used to time-align the output signal from the WiSA Sub to other speakers.

  • E. 12V Trigger Input 2-pin screw down connector. Used to control ON/STANDBY settings based on 12V DC input signal.

  • F. IR Input 2-pin screw down connector allowing for IR control.

  • G. LPF Slope Controls the slope rate upper end frequency response.

  • H. Power Mode

    • On: Device is always powered on.
    • Audio Sense: Power command sent with active audio signal.
    • Trigger: Powers on with 12V Trigger Input.
  • I. LFE Input RCA used for LFE input.

  • J. Status LED

    • Off: Resetting, or is powered up and booting the embedded firmware.
    • Green Fast Blinking: Updating.
    • Green Slow Blinking: Entering or finishing an update.
    • Green: Normal operation.
    • Orange: Critical system error.
    • Orange Slow Blink: Standby power mode.
  • K. Reset button Hold for 10 seconds to disconnect speaker from the network and forget any associated WiSA devices.
    Note: This will place the speaker in Associate Mode.

  • L. WiSA LED

    • Off: Forced Analog Mode.
    • Green Fast Blinking: Ready to pair.
    • Green Slow Blinking: Streaming audio.
    • Green: WiSA connected.
    • Orange: Audio is muted.
    • Orange Slow Blinking: WiSA module reset.
    • Orange Fast Blinking: Reconnecting.

Connect Power

The IP Audio Products have an AC Power connection. Make the appropriate power connections before attempting discovery within the Savant Pro App.

Associate Mode
Associate Mode indicates the WiSA Sub is not paired with any WiSA transmitting device. To enter this mode, hold the reset button for 10 seconds. For more information on WISA setup process, see the Smart Audio WISA Setup Guide (009-1903-xx) on the Savant Community.

Auto Switch Mode

The default mode for the Smart Audio WiSA Sub 1. In this mode, the WiSA Sub will switch between WiSA and analog inputs as needed. To enter this mode, press the reset button until the WiSA LED turns green. This mode will remain active through reboots.

  • Both the WiSA and the LFE input are active.
  • If a WiSA device is connected, input will automatically switch to WiSA.
  • If the WiSA LED transitions to Standby/Reset or Pairing, input will switch back to analog.
  • If the user presses and holds reset button, input will be switched to WiSA so that a test tone can be heard

Forced Analog Mode

The analog-input only mode for the Smart Audio WiSA Sub 1. To enter Forced Analog Mode, toggle the LFP slope switch 4 times within 10 seconds. This mode will remain active through reboots.

  • The LFE input will always be active, and WiSA output will not be active.
  • The WiSA LED will be turned off to indicate this mode.
  • Press and hold the reset button to place the unit back in Auto Switch mode.
