Important Notes

Please read before installing.

  1. CAUTION: Use only with permanently installed fixtures with 0-10 V ****sourcing LED drivers or ballasts.
    To avoid overheating and possible damage to other equipment, do not use to control receptacles, motor-driven appliances, or transformer-supplied appliances.

  2. This product is intended for Class 1 installations only. Install in accordance with all national and local electrical codes.

  3. Only one 0–10 V ****control signal can be used in a 3-way circuit.

  4. For new installations, Lutron recommends installing a test switch before installing the control.

  5. Protect the control from dust and dirt when painting or spackling.

  6. Clean control with a soft damp cloth only. Do not use any chemical cleaners.

  7. 0% – 90% humidity, non-condensing. For indoor use only.

  8. Controls must be mounted vertically. See stamp on control for correct positioning.

Troubleshooting

Symptom: Lights are unstable at low-end, dropout, or flash/flicker at turn-on or turn-off

Solution:

  1. Turn the control switch 1 ON. Move the slider 2 down to the lowest light level.
  2. urn the low-end trim wheel 3 clockwise to the lowest possible dimming level where the light output for all lamps is stable and does not flicker or flash. Note: If the wheel stops, do not continue to turn.
  3. Turn the control switch 1 OFF then back ON. Verify that all lamps turn on.
  4. If all lamps do not turn on, turn the low-end trim wheel 3 clockwise slightly and repeat Step 3.

Symptom: Lights do not dim low enough

Solution:

  1. Verify that the lights dim up/down with slider 2 . If the lights do not change verify that the purple and pink wires are not cross-connected or disconnected in any fixture or wallbox.
  2. Trim low-end for the lowest stable light level.
    a. Turn the control switch 1 ON. Move the slider 2 down to the lowest light level.
    b. Turn the low-end trim wheel 3 counter-clockwise to the lowest possible dimming level where the light output  for all lamps is stable and does not flicker or flash. Note: If the wheel stops, do not continue to turn.
    c. Turn the control switch 1 OFF then back ON. Verify that all lamps turn on.
    d. If all lamps do not turn on, turn the low-end trim wheel 3 clockwise slightly and repeat Step 2c.

Multiganging

When installing more than one Dimmer in the same wallbox, it may be necessary to remove all the inner side sections prior to wiring (see diagram).

Note: If ganging with Class 2 controls (ex. DVTV-), consult local codes for installation requirements.

Turn the power OFF

WARNING: Shock Hazard. May result in serious injury or death. Turn the power OFF at the circuit breakers before installing the unit.

Connect the 0-10 V Control
Wire the controls according to the appropriate wiring diagram shown below and on the ballast/driver.

  • Copper/Black screw terminal
    ** Brass /Gold screw terminal
    *** Green screw terminal
    † This wire may be gray on older products or in retrofit applications

    • Diva 0-10 V Control can be installed line side or load side.
    • For applications with excessive electrical noise: 0–10 V wires should be run in conduit separate from the mains.

Turn the power ON

IMPORTANT – Before installing the wallplate, dimming range may need tobe adjusted to reach a stable light level at low-end.
See reverse for troubleshooting tips.

Limited Warranty

(Valid only in the U.S.A., Canada, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean.)

Lutron will, at its option, repair or replace any unit that is defective in materials or manufacture within one year after  purchase. For warranty service, return unit to place of purchase or mail to Lutron at 7200 Suter Rd., Coopersburg, PA 18036-1299, postage pre-paid.

This warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties, and the implied warranty of merchantability is limited to one year from purchase. This warranty does not cover the cost of installation, removal or reinstallation, or damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or damage from improper wiring or installation. This warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages.

LUTRON’S LIABILITY ON ANY CLAIM FOR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE MANUFACTURE,  SALE, INSTALLATION, DELIVERY, OR USE OF THE UNIT  SHALL NEVER EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE UNIT.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitation on how long an implied warranty may last, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
