Using a smartphone, iPad, or even your Apple Watch wearable, you can set up, manage, and check on Serena remote- controlled shades and Lutron Caséta wireless dimmers using the Lutron Caséta Smart Hub. The integrated Lutron Caséta Smart Hub works with Alexa, Apple Home Kit, Ecobee, the Google Assistant, Ring Honeywell, Logitech, Samsung SmartThings, Sonos, Serena shades, and more, and it can support up to 75 devices. To manage lights, shades, and temperature from anywhere, use the Lutron Caséta Smart Hub and the free app. You may programme lights to change automatically dependent on the time of day or design your own preferred sceneries that change several lights and drapes at once. Enable geo-fencing to have your lights come on or go off as you enter or leave your home, or to alert you if you left them on. With the Lutron Caséta Smart Hub, you can manage up to 75 Caséta devices.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the dimmer switches in this starting package single pole switches, or can I use them to swap out two dimmer switches that operate the same lights in my house?
Right, so the remote creates a “fake 3-pole system.” The switch itself is a single switch, but it has a remote that pairs with it and can be put in a second spot in a light switch by taking out the old switch and capping off the wires. The remote can then be mounted in the second location using the Pico Wallplate Bracket.
Does it function with echo? Is a neutral cable required for an in-wall dimmer switch?
It seamlessly integrates with my Echo and works nicely. These dimmers simply have two black wires and one green ground wire; therefore, a neutral wire is not necessary. A neutral wire is necessary for the other Lutron switches, which are on/off but do not dim. Due to the fact that they are for various lights, I have utilized both sorts in my home.
Is it possible to use a single Smart Bridge to control the lights in different residences, such as your regular property and a vacation home?
You will need two bridges if your primary residence and vacation property are not close to one another (and internet connectivity). A bridge is required at each location. Most likely, you’ll be able to manage both places from your phone using your app.
Does this support Ecobee3?
Yes! It may be added directly from the Lutron app!
Can LED rope lights be used with these?
Speak to the LED rope light maker. There are too many brands in existence for us to be certain.
Can it be programmed?
Yes, by setting up scenes and schedules, users of the Caseta Wireless Systems can effortlessly control the lighting.
Can I connect a Lutron Caseta switch using this device to my Honeywell Total Connect 2.0 app?
Yes, you may combine the Caseta system with your Honeywell thermostats using the Caseta Smart Bridge.
Is it feasible to have all of these turn on with a single command, with the dimmer level set, using Lutron Caseta, Harmony (which controls my AV setup), and Alexa?
Yes, you could easily build up a scene to turn on all of your lights at a specific level and trigger it using the Caseta app, Alexa, or your Harmony remote.
Does this function without Apple HomeKit? only online?
In order for the Caseta Wireless Smart Bridge to work, Homekit is not necessary. Lighting can be controlled via an iOS or Android device when the Smart Bridge has been installed and a user account has been created in the Lutron App. With Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa, voice control is feasible.
Do I need this bridge to use the Serena sunglasses?
Yes, this bridge will let you use the Caseta app to operate your Lutron Serena shades.
Is this (non-pro) bridge compatible with the pd-5ws-dv?
Yes, both the Pro and non-Pro Bridges are compatible with all Caseta switches and dimmers.
Are there any cables included with the smart bridge? What do I need to acquire if not?
Yes, the Caseta Wireless Smart Bridge will come with the required Ethernet cable and power supplies. For this bridge, you shouldn’t need to buy any further hardware.
