Safety Precautions:
Carefully read all the instructions before using the appliance and keep in a

using the appliance to avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance. This
appliance should be used only as described in this instruction book.
Instructions for Use:
- Unpack the appliance and remove all the packaging. Before first use, check the product and accessories and make sure that they are not damaged.
- Place the steam cleaner on a dry, level surface. Unscrew the safety cap in an anticlockwise direction, place the funnel inside the water tank opening.
- The safety cap cannot be opened if there is pressure in the main unit, to ensure safety for users.
- Although the total water tank capacity is 450ml, only put a maximum of 350ml of water into the water tank, as water turns to steam inside the water tank, filling the empty space. If there is no empty space inside the water tank, the appliance will not be able to generate any steam.
- Do not use the steamer without any water in the tank.
- Replace the safety cap, turning in a clockwise direction and tighten it in position.
- Plug in and turn on the power supply at the socket, the power light will illuminate orange, indicating that the appliance is heating up and pressure is increasing.
- When the power light turns off, it means the appliance is ready for use.
- Slide the lock button on the steam button forward and lightly press the steam button down to check steam sprays out of the nozzle.
- Do not aim the spray nozzle at other persons, animals, or objects.
- Release the steam button and lock.
- Now that you have confirmed that steam spray comes out, please install suitable accessory attachment according to your needs.
- Press the lock part on the steam button forwards and then press down on the steam button again, so you can steam what is required.
- When you have finished switch off at the power socket and unplug.
- Press the lock part on the steam button forwards and then press down on the steam button again, to release the pressure until no steam comes out.
- Slowly unscrew the safety cap in an anti-clockwise direction, do not remove it, and residual steam will be discharged slowly until no more steam comes out.

Can I use tap water in the steamer?
Yes, you can use tap water in the steamer. However, it is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral buildup inside the appliance.

Why is the steamer cold even though my steamer is plugged in?
Check the steamer is plugged in and switched on at the socket. There could be a problem with the socket, try a different socket. Check that the on/off switch is switched to on. If the steamer is still not working, contact Lakeland Customer Services.
Why is no steam coming out of the steamer?
There may not be enough water in the water tank.
Why is the steam button not working?
The steamer button has a safety lock on it. Slide the safety lock forward and press down on the steam button.

An earthed extension cable may be used with care. The electrical rating of the cable should be at least as great as the appliance. Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of the worktop or touch any hot surfaces.

Unplug the Handheld Steamer before filling or emptying the water tank, before cleaning and maintenance and immediately after use.

Only use water in the water tank. DO NOT add perfume, vinegar, chemically descaled water or any other substances into the water tank.

During operation, the water tank must be sealed with the safety cap and should be tightened before use.

DO NOT tip the appliance more than 45 degrees. Tipping it further will result in boiling water being sprayed out together with steam.

DO NOT direct the steam towards persons or animals.

DO NOT add any rust remover, odor counteracting agent, alcohol, or detergent into the tank, as such fluids will damage the tank.

DO NOT use to clean swimming pools.

The liquid or steam must not be directed towards equipment containing elec trical components, such as the interior of ovens.

DANGER OF SCALDING. OVERFILLING THE TANK WILL CAUSE THE STEAM GENERATION TO BE AFFECTED AND OVERLY HIGH STEAM PRESSURE WILL BE CAUSED.
WARNING – HOT SURFACES
- DO NOT TOUCH the surfaces shown with this symbol , they will be very hot during and just after use.
- Hot surfaces can burn and hot steam can scald, possible injury could occur.
- Allow the appliance to cool completely before touching, handling, moving or storing.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

- Place the steam cleaner on a dry, level surface. Unscrew the safety cap in an anti-clockwise direction, place the funnel inside the water tank opening.
- The safety cap cannot be opened if there is pressure in main unit, to ensure safety for users.
- ALTHOUGH THE TOTAL WATER TANK CAPACITY IS 450ML, ONLY PUT A MAXIMUM OF 350ML OF WATER INTO THE WATER TANK, AS WATER TURNS TO STEAM INSIDE THE WATER TANK, FILLING THE EMPTY SPACE. IF THERE IS NO EMPTY SPACE INSIDE THE WATER TANK, THE APPLIANCE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GENERATE ANY STEAM.
- DO NOT USE THE STEAMER WITHOUT ANY WATER IN THE TANK.
- Replace the safety cap, turning in a clockwise direction and tighten it in position.
- Plug in and turn on the power supply at the socket, the power light will illuminate orange, indicating that the appliance is heating up and pressure is increasing.

- Then place the appliance in a cool place to cool it down for about five minutes.
- Finally, completely remove the safety cap.
- Empty the residual water in the water tank and clean the external surface with a piece of dry cloth.
- Replace the safety cap on to the main unit and tighten it in position.
WARNING: Ensure the steamer is pointed away from you and other people and animals when in use. Keep your fingers at a safe distance from the tip of the steamer to avoid injury.
INSTALLATION OF ACCESSORIES
INSTALLING THE STRAIGHT NOZZLE, FABRIC NOZZLE OR FLEXIBLE HOSE ATTACHMENTS

On the widest end of the attachment, align the line on the attachment with the white mark on the main unit above the short nozzle.

Push together and turn clockwise to lock into place, the line on the attachment should now be alongside the double white lines on the side of the appliance, by the short nozzle.

The attachement is now in place.
TO REMOVE THE STRAIGHT NOZZLE, FABRIC NOZZLE OR FLEXIBLE HOSE ATTACHMENTS -
Rotate the attachment in an anti-clockwise direction.

When the line on the attachment is by the single line on the top of the main unit you will be able to pull the attachment from the main unit.
ADDING THE ANGLED NOZZLE OR ROUND BRUSH -
The angled nozzle or round brush can be attached directly on to the short nozzle on the main unit, straight nozzle or flexible hose.

They can attach in any direction as they join together with a hexagonal shape fitment and will push together.
USING THE FABRIC STREAMER TOOL -
Place fabric nozzle cloth over the end of the fabric nozzle.

Attach the fabric nozzle in the same way as the attachments in point 1 and 2 on page 7, to the main unit. This accessory is great for refreshing and removing wrinkles on clothing or curtains.

Hang clothing from a shower rail or clothes hook using a sturdy clothes hanger.
-
Activate steam cleaner and move over the fabric, taking care not to concentrate steam in a single area.
USING THE WINDOW CLEANING ATTACHMENT -
To clean windows, attach the window cleaning attachment to the fabric nozzle without the fabric nozzle cover on.

Hook the shortest edge of the window cleaning attachment to the shortest edge of the fabric nozzle. Push together until they click together on the longest edge and the tab on the window cleaning attachment is over the top of the longest edge of the fabric nozzle.

Attached the nozzle in the same way as the attachments in point 1 and 2 on page 7, to the main unit or on to the end of the flexible hose.

To remove the window cleaning attachment, simply pull the tab to release from the fabric nozzle.
TO REFILL THE WATER DURING OPERATION -
Switch off and unplug the power cord from the socket.
-
Slide the lock part of the steam button forward and press down the steam button to release the pressure until no more steam sprays out.
-
Slowly unscrew the safety cap but do not remove it and residual steam will be discharged slowly until no steam comes out.

Place the main unit in a cool place, to cool it down for about five minutes. Finally, completely remove the safety cap.
-
Use the funnel and measuring cup to refill a suitable quantity of cold or hot water into the tank.
-
Replace the safety cap on to the main unit and tighten it in position.
CARE AND CLEANING
- Switch off and unplug the steamer, and let it cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove the water from the water tank.
- Clean thoroughly before using for the first time and after every use.
- The outside of the steamer can be wiped with a clean damp cloth, dry thoroughly before storing.
- Never immerse the steamer in water or any other liquid.
- Never put vinegar or other descaling agents into the water tank.
- Check the parts for wear or damage after every few uses.
- Store the steamer empty, cooled and standing upright in a safe, dry place with the power cable loosely coiled. Never wrap it tightly around the product.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
The appliance is fitted with a fused three-pin plug to BS1363 which is suitable for use in all homes fitted with sockets to current specifications. -
CHANGING THE 7 AMP FUSE
Use a 7 amp BS1362 fuse. Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. If you are unsure which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a qualified electrician.
Note: After replacing or changing a fuse on a moulded plug which has a fuse cover, the cover must be refitted to the plug; the appliance must not be used without a fuse cover. If lost, replacement fuse covers can be obtained from an electrical shop.
