Product Usage Instructions

Dual Cook Function:

  1. Plug in and touch the POWER ON/OFF icon to turn on the Air Fryer Oven.
  2. Touch the DUAL COOK icon to select functions like Air Fry, Bake, Grill, Roast, or Warm.
  3. Select the function you wish to use and adjust temperature or time using the icons on the display panel.
  4. Confirm the selected function by pressing the MENU icon
  5. Select additional functions following the same steps as above.
  6. To start cooking, press the START/PAUSE icon.
  7. To cancel the DUAL COOK function, press the START/PAUSE icon and then touch the DUAL COOK icon.

Using Accessories and Rotisserie:

  1. Insert food with accessories into the desired position and close the door.
  2. If using the rotisserie, place the loaded rotisserie spit in the appliance.
  3. If not using the Preheat function, press START/PAUSE to begin cooking.
  4. To use the rotisserie, touch the rotisserie icon after pressing START/PAUSE.

Every time an icon on the control panel is touched there is an audible beep. Only the control panel section is functional as a touchscreen, press the icons firmly. The LED display panel section is for display only.

  • POWER ON/OFF: Touch the ‘POWER ON/OFF icon to turn the appliance on or off. When the ‘POWER ON/OFF’ icon is pressed once it beeps and the control panel will illuminate. Touching the ‘POWER ON/OFF’ icon at any time during the cooking process will turn off the appliance.
  • START/PAUSE: Touch the ‘START/PAUSE’ icon to start or stop the program.
  • MENU: You can select the menu by repeatedly touching the ‘MENU’ icon, or select the ‘MENU’ icon and touch the’+’ or’-‘ icon. Selecting any of the preset function icons, sets the temperature and time to the selected function’s default setting.
  • PREHEAT: After selecting a program and adjusting the temperature and time if required, touch the ‘PREHEAT icon to preheat the Air Fryer Oven. No need to touch the ‘START/PAUSE’ icon to start the preheat program. After preheating, the oven will beep 5 times and “Add food” will be shown on the display.
  • TIME/TEMPERATURE SWITCH ICON: Touch the TEMP/TIME’ icon to switch between the mode of temperature and time.
  • TEMPERATURE: Touch the icon and the temperature display will flash on the LED display panel, then touch the’+’ or’-‘ icon to increase or decrease the temperature as needed. A long press of the’+’ or’-‘ icon will enable a rapid increase or decrease operation of setting.
  • TIME: Double touch the icon until the time display will flash on the LED display panel, then touch ‘+’ or’-‘ icon to increase or decrease the time as needed. A long press of the’+’ or’-‘ icon will enable a rapid increase operation of setting.
  • PLUS: Touch this icon to select the menu or adjust the time and temperature.
  • MINUS: Touch this icon to select the menu or adjust the time and temperature.
  • LIGHT: Touch the ‘LIGHT icon to turn on the oven light. Without any operation after 5 minutes, the light will turn off automatically. It will turn on again when you touch it. Selecting this icon will help you check the cooking progress while the appliance is in operation. When opening the door during the cooking process, it will pause the appliance and the light will illuminate as the door opens.
  • DUAL COOK: Advanced dual function cooking technology allows you to program your Air Fryer Oven to start cooking with one preset function, then automatically transition to a second preset function, for a perfect cook on any meal. For example, put a breadcrumb-topped casserole in the appliance, set it to Bake then Grill, and it will cook through with a golden crisp topping to finish. Just set it and forget it. Enjoy your favourite food without any extra operation.
  • ROTISSERIE: It is used to cook all the food that is rotated. After selecting the desired program and setting the temperature/time, touch the start icon to ‘START/PAUSE’ cooking and then touch the ‘ROTISSERIE’ icon. The icon will blink while in use.
  • FAN: This icon is for display only. If a program has the fan running, the icon will keep flashing during operation.
  • LED DIGITAL DISPLAY: The LED digital display will show the cooking function, temperature and time remaining during the cooking process

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Carefully read all the instructions before using the appliance and keep in a safe place for future reference. Always follow these safety precautions when using the appliance to avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance. This appliance should be used only as described in this instruction book.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

  • Ensure all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers are removed from the appliance before the first use.

  • When not in use, always unplug the unit. Do not store any materials other than the  recommended accessories in this oven.
  • Always wear protective, insulated oven gloves when inserting or removing items from the hot oven.
  • DO NOT touch the inside of the appliance whilst in use.

WARNING: When using non-stick cookware or electric appliances with non- stick coatings, keep your pet birds out of the room. Birds have respiratory systems that are sensitive to many kinds of fumes, including fumes from overheated non-stick coating.
WARNING- HOT SURFACES

  • All surfaces marked with this . symbol will get very hot during use.
  • To prevent injury, DO NOTTOUCH.
  • SWitch off and unplug the appliance and let it cool completely before touching these surfaces.
  • Use oven gloves when cooking with the appliance.

USING YOUR AIR FRYER OVEN FOR THE FIRST TIM

  • Make sure that the oven is unplugged.
  • Remove all of the packaging and accessories before using the appliance. Remove the protective film from the control panel.
  • Before first use, wipe the outside and inside of the oven with a clean, damp cloth. Wash the removable parts in hot, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Make sure all of the accessories are dry before re-assembling into the oven.
  • After re-assembling your oven, we recommend that you run it at the maximum temperature for approximately 18 minutes to eliminate any packing odour that may remain after shipping.

DOOR SENSOR

  • Make sure to keep the oven door dosed during cooking.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • Place the Air Fryer Oven near a socket on a dry, level heat resistant or heatproof surface.

  • The appliance should only be used in a well ventilated area, at least 11 cm away from walls and other surfaces to allow sufficient airflow.

  • Plug into the socket and switch on.

  • When you switch on the appliance for the first time, there may be a slight burning smell. This is normal for a new product and will disappear after a few uses.

  • We advise heating up the appliance empty on first use, for approximately 18 minutes.

  • The crumb tray helps with easy cleaning, as it collects the crumbs, when you insert it at the bottom under the lower heating element. Be careful when you take out this tray, as it may contain hot juices from cooking. Wait until the oven has gone cold before moving and cleaning

  • If you want to stop cooking before the timer stops. just press the ‘START/STOP’ icon, it will cancel the cooking.

USING THE AIR FRYER OVEN

  1. Plug in, touch the ‘POWER ON/OFF’ icon to tum on the Air Fryer Oven, the appliance will beep and the screen will illuminate and “FAN” icon will blink.

  2. Touch the ‘MENU’ icon, and then select the program you want by touching the ‘+’ or’-‘ icons, or repeatedly touch the ‘MENU’ icon until the desired function is selected.

  3. The LED display panel will display the default temperature and time for this function, you can also adjust the temperature and time as desired with the TEMP/ TIME’ icon.
    NOTE: The temperature on the Toast function cannot be adjusted. Touch the ‘TEMP/TIME’ icon and adjust the time duration for levels 1-7 of the toast by touching the’+’ or·-· icons.

  4. Touch the ‘PREHEAT icon to preheat the Air Fryer Oven. When the internal temperature reaches 1 “Add Food· will appear on the LED display panel.  Place your food in oven and close the door, the selected function will start cooking automatically
    NOTE: The Toast, Dehydrate, Proof, Defrost, Reheat and Warm functions do not require preheating

  5. When cooking fatty foods on the oven rack, air fryer tray or rotisserie, place the baking tray in the slot underneath in order to prevent oil or grease from dripping on to the heating elements.

  6. Insert the accessories with food into the desired position then close the door. There are four groove positions, please see the diagram below for the best positions of the accessories.

  7. If you do not want to use the Preheat function of step 4, please touch the ‘START/ PAUSE’ icon to begin cooking, the display will show the timer counting down. When cooking is complete, the oven will beep 5 times, the display will show “END”, and all menu icons will light up.

  8. To use the rotisserie, touch the ‘ROTISSERIE’ icon after touching the ‘START/ PAUSE’ icon.

  9. The LED display panel will continue to show “END” until the ‘MENU icon is pressed. After cooking is complete, the fan will continue to run for 4 minutes to properly cool the appliance.

NOTE: When cooking fatty foods place the baking tray in the slot underneath in order to prevent oil or grease from dripping on to the heating elements.

DUAL COOK FUNCTION

  1. Plug in and touch the ‘POWER ON/OFF’ icon to turn on the Air Fryer Oven, the appliance will beep and the screen will illuminate and “FAN” icon will blink.
  2. Touch the ‘DUAL COOK’ icon, the five functions “AIR FRY, BAKE, GRILL, ROAST and WARM” will illuminate on the display panel.
  3. Touch the ‘+’ icon to select the first function you wish to use, e.g. BAKE. Then the selected function BAKE will flash on the LED display panel, the other four will remain illuminated.
  4. Touch the ‘TEMP/TIME’ icon and adjust the desired temperature or time by touching ‘+’ or ‘-‘ icons, touch the ‘TEMP/TIME’ icon again to adjust the other desired temperature or time. Finally touch the ‘MENU’ icon to confirm the first function e.g. BAKE.
  5. The remaining four icons will be illuminated, repeat the above steps of 3 and 4 to select the second function. Then press the ‘MENU’ icon to confirm, the two functions will be illuminated on the LED display panel. Press the ‘START/PAUSE’ icon to start cooking.
  6. If you want to cancel the ‘DUAL COOK’ function, you can touch the ‘START/PAUSE’ icon, then touch the ‘DUAL COOK’ icon to return to the general menu.
  7. Touch the ‘PREHEAT’ icon to preheat the Air Fryer Oven. When the internal temperature reaches 150°C, “Add Food” will appear on the LED display panel. Place your food in oven and close the door, the selected function will start cooking automatically.
  8. Insert the accessories with food into the desired position then close the door. There are four groove positions, please see the diagram below for the best positions of the accessories.
  9. NOTE: If you need to use the rotisserie, place loaded rotisserie spit in the appliance.
  10. If you do not want to use the Preheat function of step 6, please touch the ‘START/ PAUSE’ icon to begin cooking, the display will show the timer counting down. When cooking is complete, the oven will beep 5 times, the display will show “END”, and all menu icons will light up.
  11. To use the rotisserie, touch the rotisserie icon after touching START/PAUSE icon.
  12. The LED display panel will continue to show “END” until the ‘MENU’ icon is pressed.
    After cooking is complete, the fan will continue to run for 4 minutes to properly cool the appliance.

HOW TO USE THE RGrlSSERIE FUNCTION

  1. Most of the time the rotisserie function is used for cooking chicken which is really moist. You may use it for other foods if safe and suitable.
    NOTE: The chicken should be a small chicken and not exceed 1.3kg in weight. For larger sized chickens, please cook on the baking tray, not using the rotisserie function.

  2. For the rotisserie function, insert the baking tray on the bottom rung of the oven above the lower heating element.

  3. With the forks removed from the rod, insert the rod through the centre of the food lengthwise.
    NOTE: To support the food on the rod better, insert the forks into the food at different angles.
    TIP: Chicken and large pieces of meat must be tied with cotton string to prevent them from catching the heating elements or baking tray.

  4. Place the rotisserie forks onto the rod with the forks inserted into each side of the chicken or meat. Centre meat lengthwise on the rodLAKELAND-27347-Air-Fryer-Large-Capacity-Oven-30L- \(22\)

  5. Tighten the screws on the rotisserie forks after the food is centre on the rod.

  6. If the oven has already finished preheating use the rotisserie handle to insert the ARROW end of the rod into the DRIVE SOCKET in the right side of oven.
    CAUTION: Parts will be hot. wear gloves to insert the rotisserie rod. Lift up the rod above the support bracket on the left side of the oven and rest the rod  on the bracketLAKELAND-27347-Air-Fryer-Large-Capacity-Oven-

  7. Press the rotisserie function button , the food will start to cook and the rotisserie rod will start to turn.

  8. Please check at the beginning of the rod running that the chicken or meat has enough space to rotate. If it is too close to the elements it may harm the motor. If this happens you must stop the appliance and adjust the meat to a better position.

  9. You may stop the motor by pressing the   button to check the chicken or meat. If it needs longer. then place it back into the oven and press the  button once.

  10. Once the function is complete there will be five beeps, the timer will show ‘End’, the rotisserie will stop and the oven will enter into standby mode.

  11.  Switch off the oven and unplug.

  12.  Open the door completely when you take out the chicken or food. Place the rotisserie handle with the hooks under the rotisserie rod. Lift and slide the rotisserie rod to the left and remove from the oven carefully.

  13.  Place the chicken or food on to a clean container or tray and then unscrew the rotisserie forks from rotisserie rod. Slide the food onto a serving tray or cutting surface

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. Question: Why is the Air Fryer Oven not working?
    Answer: Check that the appliance is plugged in and switched on at the socket. You may not have turned on the oven on the control panel, touch the ‘ON/OFF icon to power on, the control panel should have icons showing. The oven door might not be closed properly.

  2. Question: Why is there excess steam coming out of the Air Fryer Oven door?
    Answer: The food you are cooking may have a high moisture content, this is normal and the oven door is vented to release steam created from high moisture content food, often found when cooking food from frozen.

  3. Question: Why is there white smoke coming out of the Air Fryer Oven door?
    Answer: If you are using the appliance for the first time, this is normal and we suggest running the appliance empty, on the maximum heat setting for 18 minutes. The food you are cooking is too greasy to be cooked in the appliance, the oil and fat from the ingredients may have splashed onto the heating element, it will not affect the cooking process. The baking tray, crumb tray or heating elements have grease or oil residues from previous cooking, make sure the accessories are cleaned properly after each use.

  4. Question: Why is there dark smoke coming out of the Air Fryer Oven door?
    Answer: The food you are cooking is burning, turn off the appliance immediately, be careful when you take out your food.

  5. Question: Why is my food not cooked properly?
    Answer: There may be too much food in the oven, reduce the amount of food in the oven.
    The temperature may be too low, increase the cooking temperature.
    The cooking time may not be long enough, cook for a longer time.
    You may have chosen the incorrect cooking function, make sure you select the proper function.

  6. Question: Why is the food cooked unevenly?
    Answer: Ingredients are stacked or close to each other during cooking. Make sure food and ingredients are spread out evenly. Baking tray, air fryer basket or oven rack is not in the correct place, adjust the oven accessories into the proper position, take care as these components may be hot.

  7. Question: Why is the food not crispy after air frying? Answer: The food ingredients have a high moisture content. Spraying or brushing a small amount of oil on food evenly can increase crispiness.

  8. Question: Why is the Air Fryer Oven showing the error code ‘E1 ‘?
    Answer: There is a short circuit in the temperature monitor. Switch off at the wall socket and unplug, contact Lakeland Customer Services team on 015384 88100 or info@lakeland.co.uk

  9. Question: Why is the Air Fryer Oven showing the error code ‘E2’?
    Answer: The temperature monitor or heating elements are inoperative. Switch off at the wall socket and unplug, plug back in and turn on at the socket, if the display is still showing the error code ‘E2’, contact Lakeland Customer Services team on 015384 88100 or info@lakeland.co.uk

CARE AND CLEANING

  • Switch off at the socket and unplug the appliance and let it cool completely before moving and cleaning, approximately 30 minutes.

  • If you remove the accessories from the Air Fryer Oven and place it on a heat resistant surface, they will cool down quicker.

  • Clean thoroughly before using for the first time and after every use to prevent an accumulation of grease and avoid unpleasant odours.

  • Check the parts for wear or damage after every few uses.

  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or sharp utensils to clean the oven as it will result in scratches and may cause a safety problem.

  • Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.

  • To clean the outside of the oven and control panel, wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly before storing.

  • To remove any splatters that may have occurred while cooking, wipe the internal walls with a soft, damp cloth. Let all surfaces dry thoroughly prior to inserting the plug back into the socket and turning on.

  • To clean the accessories, wash in hot, soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge and dry thoroughly.

  • If ingredients are stuck to the accessories, soak for 10 minutes before cleaning and use a sponge or soft bristled brush to dislodge.

  • Clean the cooking cavity using a damp, non-abrasive cloth.

  • Clean the heating elements using a clean dry brush.
    Let all of the parts and surfaces dry thoroughly prior to plugging the oven in and before using again.

  • Store the Air Fryer Oven with the power cable loosely coiled. Never wrap it tightly around the appliance

CLEANING THE INNER GLASS DOOR

  • ATTENTION: Be sure to cool down the glass door completely before disassembling it and the appliance is unplugged.
  • Unscrew the two screws at the top of the inner glass door, turn the screwdriver anti-clockwise.
  • Attached the glass door suction cup to the middle of the glass, then lift to allow you to then take out the glass with your hands.
  • Remove the suction cup.
  • To clean the glass, use a glass cleaner or mild detergent and a soft, damp sponge or soft plastic scouring pad. Do not use an abrasive cleanser or metal scouring pad as these will scratch. Dry the glass thoroughly.
  • Replace the suction cup, then with the 2 screw holes closest to you replace the glass into the door. Replace the screws and tighten turning the screwdriver clockwise. Then remove the suction cup.

CLEANING THE CRUMB TRAY

  • After each use, slide out the crumb tray and discard the crumbs. Wipe the tray with a soft, damp sponge. A non-abrasive liquid cleaner or mild spray solution may be used to avoid build-up of stains which may cause a fire under high temperature. Apply the cleaner to the sponge, not the tray, before cleaning. Dry thoroughly.
  • Always remember to re-insert the crumb tray into the oven after cleaning and prior to inserting the power plug into a power outlet and turning the oven on.

REPLACING THE OVEN LAMP

  • Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely before replacing the bulb. Only use a 25 wan. 24-0 Volt halogen bulb, G9 type.
  • Remove all the accessories from the oven before replacing the light.
  • The light is positioned in the top right hand comer at the back of the oven.
  • With clean dry hands, rotate the glass cover, by rotating it clockwise to remove.
  • Remove the used bulb, by pulling it directly downwards.
  • Insert the new bulb.
  • Then replace the glass cover, by tightening it anticlockwise

  • The appliance is fitted with a fused three-pin plug to BS1363-1 which is suitable for use in all homes fitted with sockets to current specifications.
  • CHANGING THE 13 AMP FUSE
  • Use a 13 amp BS1362-1 fuse. Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. If you are unsure which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a qualified electrician.
  • NOTE: After replacing or changing a fuse on a moulded plug which has a fuse cover, the cover must be refitted to the plug; the appliance must not be used without a fuse cover.
  • If lost, replacement fuse covers can be obtained from an electrical shop.
