Lakeland ELECTRIC POTATO PEELER
Introduction
To get the most out of your new electric potato peeler, please read through these instructions before use. We also recommend that you save the instructions in case you need to refer to them at a later date.

The appliance is double insulated and therefore does not require earthing.
Special safety instructions
- Never allow fingers, hands, hair, kitchen utensils or other objects near the peeling plate in the bottom of the bowl.
- Be careful not to cut yourself on the peeling plate when you take the peeled potatoes out of the bowl or clean the parts.
- Switch off the potato peeler and unplug it before removing the lid or lifting the bowl off the motor section.
- Only use the potato peeler for peeling potatoes.
- Never fill the bowl with more than 1 kg of freshly washed potatoes at a time.
- Do not allow the potato peeler to run for more than 4 minutes at a time. Allow it to cool completely before using it again.
- Only use original accessories or spare parts.
- The motor section must not be exposed to water.
- The potato peeler is not intended for use by persons (including children) with a physical, sensory or mental disability or any person unable to operate the appliance unless they are supervised or have been instructed how to use the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Keep children under supervision so they do not play with the potato peeler.
- Children must not clean the potato peeler.
- The potato peeler is only intended for use in private households.

Use
- Rinse the bowl (3), lid (1) and peeling plate under running water before using the appliance for the first use. Dry thoroughly.
- Place the potato peeler on a flat surface.
- Check that the on/off button is in the off position.
- Place the bowl on the motor section and place the peeling plate in the bowl so that it is sitting on the motor section’s motor axle.
- Rinse the potatoes under running water.
- Place the potatoes in one layer on the peeling plate.
- It is not necessary to add water to the bowl.
- For best results, use small, new potatoes of a uniform size. Potatoes with a thick skin should be peeled by hand.
- Place the lid on the bowl and secure it using the lock (2).
- If the parts are not assembled correctly, the potato peeler cannot be switched on.
- Plug the appliance in.
- Switch the potato peeler on using the on/off button and let it run for about 2 minutes.
- The potato peeler vibrates during use but is stable thanks to its rubber feet (6).
- You can monitor the peeling process through the transparent lid.
- Switch the potato peeler off and lift off the bowl.
- Tip the potatoes into the kitchen sink. Wash the potatoes and remove any remaining peel using a knife or similar.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Switch off the potato peeler and unplug it before removing the lid, bowl and peeling plate and cleaning the appliance.
- Wash the lid, bowl and peeling plate under running water. The parts must not be washed in the dishwasher.
- Be careful not to cut yourself on the cutting plate’s rough surface!
- Wipe the parts with a dish cloth and allow them to dry completely before putting them back in place and putting the potato peeler into storage.
- Wipe the motor section with a well-wrung cloth. Do not expose to water, damp or splashes.
- Do not use harsh or abrasive detergents, as these may damage the surface of the potato peeler.
