CHARACTERISTICS

  • Sous vide is a culinary technique for cooking vacuum-sealed foods in a pot of water, at a constant low temperature over a long period of time.
  • It is easy cooking with simple steps:
    1. Simply season and vacuum seal the food.
    2. Attach the sous vide to the pot of water and set it up.
    3.  Slide the food into the pot of water.
  • With sous vide cooking, the temperature and cooking time of the food is precisely controlled to prevent overcooking.
  • When using vacuum sealed bags, the liquids produced by the food cannot leak out. The meat is cooked in its own juice and barely loses weight.
  • Food prepared in this way retains all its flavor.

Benefits

  • You will be able to prepare perfectly cooked food with very little effort.
  • The gentle, oxygen-free cooking environment helps retain nutrients in food.
  • Food cooked in a vacuum-sealed bag is much more stable than food cooked over a fire.
  • When sous vide cooking, proteins such as chicken and pork can be served at lower temperatures than when following traditional cooking methods.
  • Increasing the minimum cooking time for the sous vide cooking process essentially pasteurizes the meat.
  • Since the pot of water will never exceed the desired temperature, the food will never exceed its doneness level.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

It is recommended to clean the appliance after each use, although cooking with clean water is not a product that gets too dirty, it is advisable to keep it clean for greater working efficiency. After cleaning, dry the product completely with a soft, dry cloth.
Removing limescale from the product From time to time, it is advisable to clean the product more thoroughly to prevent limescale build-up. In many places, especially on coasts, tap water can be hard, causing mineral deposits on our products. Limescale build-up can damage the appliance.

Cleaning with vinegar and water

  1.  Use a solution of water and white cleaning vinegar at 70% and 30% respectively. Put the liquid in the bucket you usually use, 2 or 3 liters should be enough, as long as it covers the minimum height line of the product.
  2. Set a temperature of 60ºC in the appliance, once the temperature has been reached, remove it after 5 minutes.
  3. Then rinse the product thoroughly with water and dry it completely before storing it.

Cleaning with CLR and water

  1. Use a solution of 10% CLR and 90% water. CLR is a phosphate-free anti-limescale product that is safe for stainless steel.
  2. Circulate the water (it is not necessary to set a specific temperature, but you can set 60ºC as with the previous method).
  3. After 5-10 minutes, stop the appliance. Rinse the product thoroughly with water to remove all traces of limescale and dry completely with a cloth.

In compliance with Directives: 2012/19/EU and 2015/863/EU on the restriction of the use of dangerous substances in electric and electronic equipment as well as their waste disposal. The symbol with the crossed dustbin shown on the package indicates that the product at the end of its service life shall be collected as separate waste. Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centers specializing in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one-for- one basis. The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled, treated, and disposed of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the environment and health and optimizes the recycling and reuse of components making up the apparatus. Abusive disposal of the product by the user involves application of the administrative sanctions according to the laws.
