Try Me Unit:
Try Me button box is for demonstration purposes only. Dispose of this unit by
detaching the wires connecting to the locomotive and cars before playing.

Battery Loading:
(FOR MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE, USE ALKALINE BATTERIES.)
Remember to take out all batteries from the train after playing.
– Do not mix old and new batteries.
– Do not mix alkaline, standard (Carbon-Zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
– Replace with all new batteries if the train slows down or if there is sound
distortion.
How to Install Battery:
FOR LOCOMOTIVE:
- Unscrew to open the battery cover. (See Diagram 1 and 2)
- Insert 4 x “C” batteries by matching the (+) and (–) signs as indicated in the battery compartment. (See Diagram 3)
- Replace the battery cover. (See Diagram 4)
BOXCAR (FOR LIGHT-UP FUNCTION)
– Unscrew to open the battery cover. (See Diagram 5)
– Insert 3 x AA batteries as indicated inside following the (+)(–) polarity.
(AA batteries are not included)
– Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure the battery cover.
FOR HANDSET REMOTE CONTROL :
- Unscrew to open the battery case cover at the back of the remote control and put 2 x AAA batteries inside. (See Diagram 6)
- Close the battery case cover.
*NOTE: REMOVE ALL BATTERIES AFTER YOU HAVE FINISHED PLAYING YOUR TRAIN SET. (ESPECIALLY FOR HANDSET REMOTE CONTROL.)
Assembly of Tracks:
- Assemble the sections of the tracks by snapping the ends of each track section securely into another. (See Diagram 7)
- Follow the layout of the track as shown in Diagram 8 to assemble.

Operation of Train:
- Make sure all wheels of the train are properly placed on the tracks following step 1, 2. (See Diagram 10)
- Pull the train forward and backward to check the connection of the locking joints. (See Diagram 11)
- After battery installation in remote control, the LED of the remote control will light up whenever any button is pressed.
- Turn the bell in a clockwise direction to activate the train. (See Diagram 12) Also, the headlight will be on while the train is in “POWER ON” position.
- Press the “FORWARD” button of remote control to start. The train will go forward. (See Diagram 13)
- Press the “STOP” button of the remote control to make the train stop. (See Diagram 13)
- Press the “REVERSE” button of the remote control and the train will go backward. (See Diagram 13)
- Press the “SOUND” button of the remote control to activate the whistling sound on the train.m (See Diagram 13)
- The train will run with the headlights on.
- Replace the batteries if the headlight becomes dim.

Additional Features:
The train can be operated without the remote control (See Diagram 14):
- Turn the bell in a clockwise direction to activate the train (See Diagram 14)
- Press the “Forward” button (See Diagram 14), the train will go forward only. Turn the bell in a counter-clockwise direction to switch off the train.
Hints for Better Performance:
– DO NOT run the train before reading the operating instructions.
– DO NOT operate unless all wheels are on the tracks.
– DO NOT forget to lubricate the locomotive wheels and cars after running for
an extended period of time.
– DO NOT forget to keep locomotive wheels and tracks clean and free of oil and
dirt.
– IF THE TRAIN FAILS TO OPERATE OR BEGINS TO SLOW DOWN:
– Replace the batteries,
– Check the positioning of batteries,
– Adjust metal contacts to assure proper contact with batteries.
Care of Locomotive, Cars, and Tracks:
- Lubricate car wheels with a few drops of household oil.
- After oiling, wipe the wheels with a dry cloth to remove dirt and oil, as the surface of the wheels must be clean and dry to run properly.
- Be sure that each wheel is free of dirt.
- Keep the track clean by wiping the rails with a dry cloth to remove any oil or dirt. This provides better traction and assures more efficient operation.
BATTERY CAUTIONS
- For maximum performance, use alkaline batteries
- Do not mix old and new batteries
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries
- Do not recharge a non-rechargeable battery
- Ensure batteries are inserted with the correct polarity
- Remove batteries when a toy is not in use
- Remove exhausted batteries from toy and dispose of them in accordance with the maker’s recommendation
- Rechargeable batteries should only be charged under adult supervision or by children at least 8 years old.
- Remove rechargeable batteries from toy before charging
- The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited
- The antenna wires are not to be inserted into a socket outlet.
