Setting up and Using Your Carpet Spot Cleaner
To start cleaning, follow these steps:

Select the desired working mode on the control panel.

Press the water spray/steam button to generate

Keep the brush head moving during operation.

Refill the clean water tank when needed.
Emptying the Waste Water Tank
To empty the waste water tank:
- Remove the waste water tank carefully.
- Empty the tank completely.
- Clean the tank thoroughly before reinstallation.
Cleaning and Maintenance

cloth. -

for future reference. Tackle everyday spots, spills and stains with this
Carpet Spot Cleaner. Suitable for use on many surfaces around the home, like
carpets, upholstery, stairs, car interiors and sealed hard floors. An
effective spot cleaner with steam function, compact with a small footprint to
fit on a step or in a cupboard. Lightweight and portable with a hidden handle

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Carefully read all the instructions before using the appliance and keep in a
safe place for future reference. Always follow these safety precautions when
using the appliance to avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance. This
appliance should be used only as described in this instruction book.
· This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised.
· Make sure your electricity supply matches the voltage shown on the
appliance.
· Ensure all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers are
removed from the appliance before the first use.
· Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of damage. Do
not use if damaged or has been dropped. In the event of damage, or if the
appliance develops a fault contact the Lakeland Customer Services team on

· Always use the appliance on a heat resistant surface. Do not allow the power
cord to touch hot surfaces. Allow the appliance to cool completely before
storing.
· Unplug from the mains when not in use and before cleaning. To disconnect,
turn the socket to “off” and remove the plug from the mains socket.
· Do not use any accessories or attachments with this appliance other than
those recommended by Lakeland.
· To protect against fire, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse
cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquids.
· Do not leave the lead hanging over the edge of kitchen table or worktop,
where it may be pulled by children, or tripped over. Avoid contact between the
lead and hot surfaces.
· For indoor use only.
· For domestic use only.
· This appliance should be used for steaming described within the instructions
for use that accompany it.
· Always ensure that your hands are dry before removing the plug from the
mains socket. Never pull the plug out of the mains socket by its lead.

· To avoid injury or possible fire, do not cover the appliance when in use.
· Not recommended to be used with a plug-in timer switch.
· An earthed extension cable may be used with care. The electrical rating of the cable should be at least as great as the appliance. Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of the worktop or touch any hot surfaces.
·
WARNING: A cut off plug inserted into a 13 amp socket is a serious safety
(shock hazard. Ensure the cut off plug is disposed of safely.
·
CAUTION: The plastic bags used to wrap this appliance or the packaging may
be dangerous. To avoid risk of suffocation, keep these bags out of reach of
babies and children. These bags are not toys.
· DO NOT leave the Carpet Spot Cleaner unattended when in use.
· DO NOT turn on the power supply until the clean water tank is full of water.
· Unplug the Carpet Spot Cleaner before filling or emptying the water tank, before cleaning and maintenance and immediately after use.
· Only use water and carpet cleaner solution in the water tank.
· DO NOT direct the steam towards persons or animals.
· The steam must not be directed towards equipment containing electrical components.
WARNING HOT SURFACES
· DO NOT TOUCH the surfaces shown with this symbol , they will be very hot
during and just after use.
· Hot surfaces can burn and hot steam can scald, possible injury could occur.
· Allow the appliance to cool completely before touching, handling, moving or
storing.

SETTING UP AND USING YOUR CARPET SPOT CLEANER
· The appliance should only be used if it has been completely and correctly
assembled. · When you switch on the appliance for the first time you may
notice a slight burning
smell, this is normal for a new appliance and will stop after a few uses.
INTENDED USE DO NOT use the appliance on the following: · Glowing ash,
cigarette ends, matches and the like. · Inflammable or explosive substances. ·
Very fine dust (e.g. concrete dust), ash, or toner. · Pointed, hard objects
such as large pieces of broken glass. SETTING UP · Ensure all packaging
materials and any promotional labels or stickers are removed
from the appliance before the first use. · Before use, place the appliance on
an even surface and unwind the hose from the cord winding rack.
· Attach the steam brush head (with the brush head cover attached) onto the
hose.
· Pull the power cord from the auto cord winding rack

· Remove the clean water tank from the appliance then open the water tank
silicone plug.
· Next fill the clean water tank with clean water not exceeding the maximum
water level, the best way to fill the clean water tank is to lie is on a flat
surface and add the water with a jug.
· Finally, close the silicone plug and install the clean water tank back in to
the appliance.
· If required, use a carpet cleaner solution to remove stubborn stains. Fill
the water tank with clean water to the maximum water level through the water
inlet, adding in the carpet cleaner solution.
· Insert the plug into the socket and turn on the appliance using the main
power switch.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE ·
Steam clean
Low-temp clean
Touch the corresponding icon to select the desired working mode, which include Steam clean, Low-temperature clean, Steam sterilize and High-temperature clean modes.
Steam sterilize
High-temp clean
· Press the on/off button on the handle of brush, the button illuminates solidly and the appliance starts to work according to the selected working mode. Press the on/off button again, the appliance enters a delay shut-off status and the on/off button flashes, the appliance will then turn off after 6 seconds.
· During operation, hold and press the
water spray/
steam button on the handle of brush and the appliance will
generate water/steam. Press the
water spray/steam
button again to stop the water/steam production.
NOTE: It is normal that there is little water spray before releasing steam. It is normal that when you stop the water spray/steam production there is a slight delay.
NOTE: Keep the brush head moving during operation to ensure safe operation.
· When finished, press the on/off button on the handle of brush to start delay shut-off status and enter standby mode. Press the main power switch to turn off the appliance.
· Press the auto cord winding lever to put the power cord away. Fix the plug on the fastener, and then wind the hose on the cord winding rack neatly.
· Drain the water in the clean water tank and empty the waste water tank.
Clean the tanks throughly after each use.

REFILLING THE CLEAN WATER TANK · During operation when the clean water tank is
empty the appliance will stop
producing steam and the light will flash on the control panel. Refill the
clean water tank to continue operation.
· Remove the clean water tank from the appliance. · Open the silicone plug of
clean water tank and fill the clean
water tank with water through the water inlet until it is filled with water to
the “MAX” level indicator. The best way to fill the clean water tank is to lie
is on a flat surface and add the water with a jug.
· Replace the silicone plug.
· Install the clean water tank onto the appliance well and then press the main
power button to switch on the appliance.
· Press the on/off button on the steam brush head handle. Then press the water
spray/steam button to spray water or release steam according to your selected
mode.
EMPTYING THE WASTE WATER TANK
· When the waste water tank becomes full the appliance will stop and the flash
on the control panel. The waste water tank needs to be emptied. NOTE: The
appliance will stop working if the waste water tank is full.

· Place the waste water tank over the sink, unscrew the large knob at the
bottom of the waste water tank.
· Once the waste water tank is empty, rinse with clean water and empty.
· After the waste water tank is cleaned, close the knob and install the waste
water tank back into the appliance.
· If the appliance stops working during operation and the light is flashing
but the waste water tank is not full remove the waste water tank and wipe
clean the the metal mesh filter and small metal post at the side of the waste
water tank.
· Wipe clean the corrosponding metal plate on the main unit. After cleaning,
reinstall the waste water tank into the appliance.
· After the metal post and metal plate are cleaned, if the light is flashing,
please clean the waste water tank
completely again and then install it back into position.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
· Switch off and unplug the appliance and let it cool completely before
cleaning or performing any maintenance.
· Clean thoroughly before using for the first time and after every use.
· The main body can be cleaned with a damp soft cloth.
· The clean water tank and waste water tank can be cleaned in water.
· Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
· Check the parts for wear or damage after every few uses.
· Empty the water tanks each time after you have used the appliance.
· Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean
the appliance. These can damage the surface.
· Store the appliance in a dry, cool place.
· Regularly open the dust cover at the bottom of the main unit and remove the
cotton block for cleaning.
Remove the cotton block and wipe the housing and wipe with a damp cloth.
Clean the cotton block with water, using a non-irritating detergent if
necessary. Dry thoroughly before assembling back together.
DESCALING
· When the appliance provides descaling prompt , please remove the handle of
brush and then detach the brush head.
NOTE: If the descaling operation is not carried out, the user can continue to
select the desired function to operate. However, if the descaling operation is
not carried out after a period of use, the appliance will stop the use of
other functions. Normal use can only be recovered after a descaling is
performed.
· Place the open end of the hose where the water can be drained easily over a
sink, ensuring you hold the hose in position.
· Mix white vinegar with water at a ratio of approximately 1:2, then pour the
mixed solution into the clean water tank and install into main appliance.
· Press the on/off button to start descaling.
· After the descaling is completed, clean the clean water tank and then attach
the brush head and the handle to the hose, then the appliance can be operated
normally again.

REMOVAL AND CLEANING FOR BRUSH HEAD · Before cleaning, make sure the appliance
is powered off and cooled down completely. · Press the brush fastener and then
remove the brush head, together with the brush head cover. · Remove the brush
head cover from the brush head. · Wipe the brush head with a damp soft cloth
and mild detergent. · Remove the small filter located in in the handle and
rinse it with clean water. · Once clean Reinstall the filter, brush head and
brush head cover.
· After reinstalling the brush handle, if the the brush head can not spray
water or there is irregular water-spraying pattern when using, please clean
the small jet holes located underneath the bristles with the tool supplied.

The waste water tank needs emptying, remove the tank from the appliance and empty and clean over a sink.
Question: Why is there no steam coming out?
Answer:
When you press the water spray steam button it takes a while for this to action and come through the hose and brush head.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED The appliance is fitted with a fused three-pin
plug to BS1363 which is suitable for use in all homes fitted with sockets to
current specifications. CHANGING THE 10 AMP FUSE Use a 10 amp BS1362 fuse.
Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. If you are unsure which plug
or fuse to use, always refer to a qualified electrician. Note: After replacing
or changing a fuse on a moulded plug which has a fuse cover, the cover must be
refitted to the plug; the appliance must not be used without a fuse cover. If
lost, replacement fuse covers can be obtained from an electrical shop.
