Instructions for use

Congratulations! You have chosen to purchase a high-quality product. Familiarise yourself with the product before using it for the first time.

  • Read the following instructions for use carefully.

Use the product only as described and only for the given areas of application. Store these in-structions for use carefully. When passing the product on to third parties, please also hand over all accompanying documents.

Intended use

The flexible garden hose set, hereinafter referred to as the garden hose, is intended for watering patio and balcony plants and gardens. It can be connected to taps with ex-ternal threads (G 1” or G ¾”). The garden hose is intended for private use only and not for commercial use. Any other use or modification of the garden hose is not permitted and may result in damage to the garden hose. Life-threatening hazards and injuries can also result from improper use. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use.

Safety information

Important: Read these instructions for use and the safety information carefully and keep them in a safe place!

Risk of strangulation and suffocation!

WARNING!

  • If children play with the garden hose or the packaging, they can become entangled in it and suffocate!
  • Do not let children play with the garden hose or the packaging.
  • Supervise children near the garden hose.
  • Keep the garden hose and the packaging out of the reach of children.

Risk of injury!

WARNING!

  • Not suitable for chil-dren under 8 years of age! There is a risk of injury!
  • Children aged 8 and over and persons with limited physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge must be supervised and/or instructed in the safe use of the garden hose and understand the hazards involved.
  • Maintenance and/or cleaning of the garden hose must not be carried out by children without supervision.

Secure the garden hose to prevent unauthorized use (especially by children)!

  • Store the garden hose in a dry, safe place at a height that is out of the reach of children.

CAUTION!
Incorrect installation or use may result in injury.

  • Make sure that all parts are un-damaged and properly assembled. There is a risk of injury if the product is not installed correctly. Damaged parts can affect safety and function.
  • Water pressure must be prop-erly controlled to prevent water escaping under high pressure and causing injury.
  • Do not point the water jet at people or animals.

WARNING!

  • Never point the water jet at electrical equip-ment. There is a risk of electric shock!
  • Do not leave the garden hose unattended during operation.
    • The garden hose is not suitable as a drinking water pipe/drinking water pipe component.

The danger of slipping!

CAUTION!
If the ground is wet, you may slip and injure yourself.

  • Make sure that the ground near the garden hose is kept as dry as possible.
  • Turn off the tap when the garden hose is not in use.

Avoidance of material damage!

CAUTION!
Improper handling of the garden hose can cause damage to it.

  • Do not guide the garden hose around corners or edges or along pointed or sharp-edged objects. The resulting damage can cause the garden hose to leak.
  • Do not lay the garden hose in areas over which vehicles drive. Running over it can cause the garden hose to burst.
  • Make sure that dirt particles do not clog or damage the connections or get into the inside of the garden hose.
  • When the garden hose is not in use: Dismantle the garden hose and allow the residual water inside it to run out.
  • To avoid frost damage in winter, dismantle the garden hose, emp-try it, and store it in a dry place.

CAUTION!
If you open the packaging carelessly with a sharp knife or other pointed objects, the garden hose may be damaged.

  • Be very careful when opening it.
  • Remove the garden hose and all accessories from the packaging.
  • Check that all parts are present (see “Package contents”).
  • Check for damage to the garden hose and the individual parts. If any damage is apparent, do not use the garden hose. Contact the manufacturer at the service address provided.

Use

Showerhead

  1. Assemble the garden hose (1) and the shower head (2) as shown in Fig. B.
  2. Check that it is firmly secured.

Note: coupling piece (1a): mounting on the side of the regulating syringe.

Connecting the tap

  1. Turn off the tap.
  2. Connect the product to the tap as shown in Fig. B.
  3. Check that it is firmly secured.

Note: plug-in tap connection (1b): mounting on the side of the tap.

Note: if your tap has a G ¾” external thread, use the reducing adapter (3a).

  1. Turn the tap on just a little at first and increase the water pressure evenly.
  2. Then turn the spray head (2a) until water flows.
  3. Always close the water outlet (tap) and the spray head after using the product.
  4. You can use the tap holder (4) to roll up the hose on the tap and hang it up (Fig. D).

Repair, maintenance

  • Only connect suitable fittings with the correct thread size to the hose.
  • Check the threads after each season by turning off the connections and greasing them, if necessary, to ensure a smooth fit and proper function.

Storage, cleaning

Improper handling of the garden hose can lead to damage.

  • The product must be completely dry with no water residue for storage to avoid mold growth.
  • Always store the product in dry and clean condition at room temperature when not in use.
  • Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning objects such as knives, hard spatulas, etc. These can damage the surfaces.
  • Clean the item with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.

Disposal

Dispose of the product and packaging materials according to current local regulations. Store the packaging materials (foil bags, for example) out of the reach of children. For further information about disposal of the product no longer needed, contact your local council. Dispose of the product and the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. The Recycling Code distinguishes different materials to be returned for recycling. The Code consists of the recycling symbol for the recycling process and a number that identifies the material.

Notes on the guarantee and service handling
The product was produced with great care and under continuous quality control. DELTA-SPORT HANDELSKONTOR GmbH gives private end customers a three-year guarantee on this product from the date of purchase (guar-antee period) in accordance with the following provisions. The guarantee is only valid for material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear that are thus considered wear parts (e.g. batteries) or fragile parts such as switches, or parts made of glass. Claims under this guarantee are excluded if the product has been used incorrectly, improperly, or contrary to the intended purpose, or if the provisions in the instruc-tions for use were not observed, unless the end customer proves that a material or manufacturing defect exists that was not caused by one of the aforementioned circumstances. Claims under the guarantee can only be made within the guarantee period by presenting the original sales receipt. Please therefore keep the original sales receipt. The guarantee period is not extended by any repairs carried out under the guarantee, under statutory guarantees, or as a gesture of goodwill. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. If you wish to make a claim please first contact the service hotline mentioned below or contact us by e-mail. If there is a guarantee case, then the product will be repaired or replaced free of charge to you or the purchase price will be refunded, depending on our choice. Your legal rights, in particular guarantee claims against the respective seller, are not limited by this guarantee.
