Safety instructions
ATTENTION! This device must only be operated by a qualified specialist.
(A qualified specialist is a person whose competence is officially confirmed
by relevant documents, who has the necessary knowledge and experience to work
safely with this device and is authorized to work with circuits with the
appropriate voltage class.)
The device is designed in accordance with the safety requirements of the international electrical safety standard EN61010-1; Cat. III, 1000V; Cat. IV, 600V for electronic test instruments. To avoid electric shock or personal injury, strictly follow these safety precautions:
- Use extreme caution when measuring voltages above 30V AC (RMS), 42V AC (peak), or 60V DC, it is life-threatening.
- Before measuring insulation resistance, cut off power in the circuit under test and discharge all high-voltage capacitors.
- To avoid electrocution and device damage, do not measure voltages higher than 1000V for DC circuits and 750V for AC circuits.
- Use only properly functioning probes and test leads with intact insulation. Keep your fingers behind the safety guards on the probes.
- Do not use the device in environments with explosive gases, vapors, or high humidity.
- Connect the neutral/ground wire first, then the phase wire. Disconnect in reverse order.
- Disconnect the test leads before opening the battery compartment. Do not use the device when it is disassembled.
- Do not open the device. Never attempt to operate a damaged device or a device with damaged electrical parts!
- Do not ground yourself when taking measurements. Avoid contact with possible ground sources.
- Follow local and national safety regulations. Use personal protective equipment when working with exposed live parts.
Main functions
Auto power turn-off
Auto power turn-off function is active by default (the icon is displayed).
After 15 minutes without any key operation, the device will turn off
automatically to save battery energy. To restore the device to operational
status, turn the switch to the OFF position, then turn the device back on.
To cancel the automatic turn-off function, press and hold the button (5) when

Insulation resistance comparison function
The comparison function is used to check whether the measured insulation
resistance meets a specified critical threshold value.

threshold). The FAIL icon is displayed when the result is negative (resistance
below threshold).
In insulation resistance measurement mode, press the COMP button (9) to turn
the comparison function on/off.
Press and hold the COMP button (9) for 3 seconds to enter the critical
insulation resistance threshold setting mode.

Press the COMP button (9) to move to the next digit.
Press the button (8) to increase the value by 10 times.
Press and hold the COMP button (9) for 3 seconds to exit threshold setting
mode.
Timer insulation resistance measurement function
Press the TIMER button (10) to enable the timer insulation resistance
measurement function. The TIMER icon will appear on the display.
Use the ▲/▼ buttons to set the required measurement time (displayed in the
additional display section (4)). When the set time is reached, the device will
automatically stop measuring the insulation resistance.
Press the TIMER button (10) to disable the timer function.
Absorption ratio (DAR) and polarization index (PI)
Absorption ratio (DAR) and polarization index (PI) are used to test the
reduction in leakage current after voltage is applied to the test object. DAR
or PI values close to 1 indicate almost complete failure of the insulation.
The device calculates DAR and PI as reference parameters for assessing the
insulation quality. These parameters reflect the change in insulation
resistance over time after application of the test voltage.
In insulation resistance measurement mode, press the button (8) to switch
between absorption ratio (DAR) and polarization index (PI). DAR and PI values
are calculated using the formulas
where R 10 Min is the resistance after 10 minutes of voltage application;
R 1 Min (R 60 Sec) is the resistance after 1 minute of voltage application;
R 15 Sec is the resistance after 15 seconds of voltage application.
! If the measurement time is less than 1 minute, the DAR coefficient is
invalid.
! If the measurement time is less than 10 minutes, the PI index is invalid.
Basic measurement operations
Insulation resistance measurement
! To avoid damaging the meter, do not turn the knob switch while measuring
insulation resistance.
! Perform insulation resistance measurements only on a circuit that is not
live. Before starting, check the integrity of the test leads and the absence
of voltage in the circuit under test.
- Set the knob switch (7) to the appropriate insulation resistance range.
- Insert test leads into the red LINE and EARTH terminals (do not twist the wires to avoid interference when measuring high resistances) and connect to the circuit being measured.
- Press and hold the TEST button (11) for 3 seconds to begin insulation resistance measurement and a beep will sound. During the measurement, the symbol will flash and the red indicator of the TEST button (11) will light up. The main display area (12) will show the measured insulation resistance, and the additional area (4) will show the actual test voltage.
- Press the TEST button (11) to stop the measurement. The measurement result will be shown on the display.
Circuit continuity measurement
- Set the knob switch (7) to the Ω position.
- Insert the red lead into the EARTH terminal and the black lead into the G terminal.
- Connect test leads to the circuit under test and take measurements.
- When the resistance is less than 50.0Ω, a beep will sound. This indicates there are no breaks or high transition resistances in the circuit. Measurement range: 0.1–200.0Ω.
AC/DC voltage measurement
- Set the knob switch (7) to the AC/DC-V position.
- Press the button (8) to select alternating (AC symbol on the display) or direct (DC symbol on the display) voltage measurement.
- Insert the red lead into the V terminal and the black lead into the G terminal.
- Connect test leads to the circuit or power source and take measurements.
