Introduction
Zigbee Garage Door Tilt Sensor: Your Trustworthy Guardian.
Enhance your home’s security effortlessly with our easy-to-install, reliable
garage door tilt sensor. The device complies with Zigbee 3.0 standard and can
be compatible with most Zigbee Home automation systems. It can also be adapted
to more ecosystems through Smart Bridge MZ1, such as Apple Home, enabling
users to monitor their garage door status at any moment. Moreover, the product
offers a sensitivity adjustment feature(Scan the QR-code to view details).

Set up the device and hub first, then install it, then install it on the inside of the top panel of your garage door..
Setup
- Install the battery to power the sensor.
- Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to factory reset the sensor, the LED light will turn red and flash in blue, indicating entering Zigbee pairing mode. It will exit Zigbee pairing mode after 3 min if not paired.
- Add the sensor to your Zigbee hub/smart bridge/Echo speaker with built-in Zigbee hub according to the corresponding instructions.
Supports Amazon Echo(speaker with built-in Zigbee smart home hub: Echo Plus2/Echo V4/Echo Studio/Echo Plus1), SmartTings (2015/2018/Station/ Aeotec smart hub), Home Assistant (ZHA&Z2M with Zigbee dongle), Hubitat(Elevation with Zigbee hub), ThirdReality (Smart Hub / Smart Bridge), Homey(bridge/Pro), etc., support Matter supported ecosystems like Apple Home, Google Home etc. via ThirdReality Smart Bridge.
Installation
- It is recommended to install and fix the sensor on the back panel (3M adhesive) and indicate the direction of the shell (as shown in the picture).
This Side Up
- Garage door area selection. Select the first area at the top to ensure it can be detected immediately, and please install it inside the door. (As shown in the picture)
Garage Door Tilt Sensor
Pairing with ThirdReality
App: Third Reality App
Device: ThirdReality Smart Hub
Pairing steps:
- Register and sign in your ThirdReality account, set up your ThirdReality smart hub, make sure both the Third Reality app and the smart hub’s firmware are in the latest version.
- Push to open the back cover of the sensor and install the batteries.
- Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to factory reset the sensor, the LED light will turn red and flash in blue, indicating entering Zigbee pairing mode. It will exit pairing mode after 3 min if not paired.
- Tab “+” in the up right in the Third Reality App, follow the on-screen instructions to add device.
- Create routines to control other connected devices, like ThirdReality smart switch etc.
Pairing with 3R-Installer
App: 3R-Installer App
Device: Smart Bridge MZ1
Pairing steps:
- Set up your smart bridge, make sure both the 3R-Installer App and the smart bridge’s firmware are in the latest version.
- Push to open the back cover of the sensor and install the batteries.
- Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to factory reset the sensor, the LED light will turn red and flash in blue, indicating entering Zigbee pairing mode. It will exit pairing mode after 3 min if not paired.
- Tap the smart bridge icon to enter the devices page, tap “+ Bridge ZIGBEE Devices” to start Zigbee pairing, follow the on-screen instructions to add device.
- Tab Link With Matter Enabled Services, copy the Manual Setup Code or Scan the QR Code within 3 min, then you can add the bridge to other Matter supported ecosystems through multi-admin.
Pairing with Amazon Echo
App: Amazon Alexa
Devices: Echo speakers with built-in Zigbee hub, Echo 4th Gen, Echo Plus
1st & 2nd Gen, Echo Studio
Pairing steps:
- Ask Alexa to check for updates before pairing.
- Install the batteries. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to factory reset the sensor, the LED light will turn red and flash, indicating entering Zigbee pairing mode. It will exit Zigbee pairing mode after 3 min if not paired.
- Tab “+” in the Alexa App, choose “Other” and “Zigbee” to add device, the Garage Door Tilt Sensor will be added.
- You can create routines with the device.
Pairing with SmartThings
App: SmartThings App
Devices: SmartThings Hub 2nd Gen(2015) and 3rd Gen(2018), Aeotec Smart
Home Hub.
Pairing steps:

Before pairing, check for updates to make sure the SmartThings Hub firmware is up to date.

Install the batteries. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to factory reset the sensor, the LED light will turn red and flash, indicating entering Zigbee pairing mode. It will exit Zigbee pairing mode after 3 min if not paired.

Open the SmartThings App, tap “+” on the upper right corner to “Add device” and then tap “Scan for nearby devices”.

The Garage Door Tilt Sensor will be paired with the SmartThings hub.

Tap Zigbee Thing icon to enter device page, tap the up right corner, tap Edit device to change its name, tap Driver to select different driver(install the driver on your PC browser first, see 6).

Click “Enroll” –“Available Drivers” — “Install” to install the device driver.

Reboot your SmartThings hub by powering it off and “Scan for

Pairing with Hubitat

- Install the batteries. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to factory reset the sensor, the LED light will turn red and flash, indicating entering Zigbee pairing mode. It will exit Zigbee pairing mode after 3 min if not paired.
- Tab “Add Device” in Hubitat Devices page.
- Choose “Zigbee”, then “Start Zigbee Pairing”.
- Type in a device and room name and click “Next” to complete pairing.
- Change device type to Generic Zigbee Contact Sensor(no temp).
Pairing With Home Assistant

Zigbee Home Automation
- Install the batteries. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to factory reset the sensor, the LED light will turn red and flash, indicating entering Zigbee pairing mode. It will exit Zigbee pairing mode after 3 min if not paired.
- Make sure Home Assistant Integrations Zigbee Home Automation Setup is ready, then go to “Configuration” page, click “integration”.
- Then click the “Devices” on the Zigbee item, the click “Add Devices”.
- After the pairing is completed successfully, it will show up in the page.
- Back to “Devices” page, then you can find the device dded.
- Click to enter in the control interface to set the device.
- Click “+” belongs to Automation and then you can add different actions.
Zigbee2MQTT
- Install the batteries. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to factory reset the sensor, the LED light will turn red and flash, indicating entering Zigbee pairing mode. It will exit Zigbee pairing mode after 3 min if not paired.
- Make sure Home Assistant Zigbee2MQTT Setup is ready .
- Click “permit join (All)” to add device.
- Create automation and then you can add different actions.
