-
Not required, but make things a bit easier to work on. We removed the factory bed to open up the entire work area.
-
We removed the fuel injectors by unplugging injector connectors.
-
thrn removing both t30 torx screws.
-
there will be a assortment of zip-ties (cable ties) to cut. some are around harness that secure them to the intake manifold. Be sure to get them all removed.
-
You can make sure to unplug all sensors as well,
- throttle body
- Throttle body MAP sensor
- Intake manifold MAP Sensor
-
Next, remove your intercooler (charge tube) pipe from the throttle body side and move out of the way.
- Clamp on intercooler (charge tube) pipe is a 7mm
-
this is how we get to the intake manifold bolts. With the upper bed cover off, shows how easy it is to get to them. But, its 100% do-able to get them from the side.
-
Mounting hardware is included in kit. #11 in picture (page 2).
-
Used loctite on NPT bard | make sure NPT plug is loctited and tightened.
-
MAP sensor in intercooler pipe is a 5mm bolt
-
Intake manifold MAP sensor is a 6mmx1.0 bolt. (10mm socket/wrench)
-
Use #12 (ref. page 2) hardware to install to intake manifold.
-
Small amount of locktite is recommended.
-
Make sure it’s orientated in the direction shown.
NOTE:
