ORIENTATION & IMPORTANT INFORMATION

INTRODUCTION

Understanding the Setup Process and why we have taken the time explain everything at this level of detail.

  1. If you love golf, you are going to enjoy this product for a long time. Knowing how things work in these pieces of software will not only make installation and setup easier, but help you maximize the enjoyability of it over the lifespan of the product, and possibly peak your interest at other products we have coming out [ Hybrid X3 Pro ] or give you the confidence to get higher end gear from other companies.

  2. Out of a test set of new customers, reading through these directions and following step by step is the best method. There are also videos if you’re more visually oriented for task execution.

  3. The setup process here is a little bit different than you might be used to…E6’s system is unique in the way it handles licenses, and if you are new to SLX Products or E6 Software it may take 5-10min to get up and running

  4. The SLX CONNECT APP IS OUR APP
    i. LINK for SLX APPS & PC PROGRAM [FREE] DOWNLOAD: [ CLICK HERE ] ii. SLX APPS are Much easier to install and get going because there are no licenses involved, but the app is in an early stage so there are no courses. Just 1 game and hole so far.
iii. The SLX Connect app on your mobile device also has something few people realize GPS Rangefinder
iv. In the SLX Connect “Play Golf” menu, that’s not for digital Golf like with E6. That’s where you use the App on-course to find your GPS distance to the Green. All you need to do is have your MicroSIM Paired to the phone for it to be activated. The MicroSIM could be in your bag, or pocket for that matter…it just has to be connected to activate that feature.
    v. This feature is not in the desktop version, so if you planned on taking your windows device on the course, let us know via a [ SERVICE TICKET ] so we can evaluate if that is something we need to do. Just put some thoughts down in the comments section of the ticket form so we can be aware of your input.

  5. During the registration process with SLX, you will be asked for your MicroSIM Serial Number which is on the bottom of your sensor. If you have not already done so, pop the sensor off the swingstick by pushing up towards the grip slightly and build up a little pressure until it “clicks” off the mount. We ask for S/N information for administrative purposes ONLY related to keeping track of manufacturing batches and also related to your return and warranty period. The S/N you input at
w.register.swinglogic.us will not affect anything with how the device works in ANY WAY!

  6. Our registration process does NOT give you an account with E6 automatically & yes, we know it’s annoying to have to make two new accounts with a product. We are actively developing a process that will eliminate this multi-phase setup of both apps…. Look at it this way… you bought a $200 simulator that is going to impress you with its performance here in a little bit you just have to put in 5-10min of “work” to make it happen☺

  7. Now that we have that out of the way….Let’s do this….

SLX PRODUCT SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1 – REGISTER with SLX / SwingLogic to get your E6 License Key

Ask yourself if you want to use E6 on your PC or iOS device.
8. This is important because we must pay for these licensees to give to you for free with purchase and they are not cheap
9. LINK HERE TO START REGISTRATION PROCESS: https://register.swingogic.us/
i. If you have any questions, refer back to Introduction section, items 5 & 6.
CHECK YOUR EMAIL INBOX for SLX E6 LICENSE KEY
10. CHECK SPAM & JUNK folder if you don’t see the email we send…this is mostly due to a .us website being pretty uncommon.
11. the “guy” that had the .com wanted an astronomical amount of $$ so we said…(you know what)
BLANK SPACE BELOW IS TO WRITE DOWN YOUR LICENSE KEY (IF DESIRED) LICENSE KEY:

STEP 2 – CREATE AN ACCOUNT with E6
  1. You can create an account with E6 here: https://portal.e6golf.com/login & you can also download the app and make one inside the app

  2. If you download and make an account 1st INSIDE THE APP, you will need to learn how to:
    a. [ UNBIND AND RE-BIND LICENSES ] in order to get started here in a minute.

  3. After you have signed up with E6, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your email address.
    a. THIS EMAIL WILL BE FROM E6 / TRUGOLF…NOT SLX 🙂
YOU MUST CONFIRM YOUR ACCOUNT EITH E6 to complete their registration Process
    i. If not done, this will give you an ERROR CODE message when you are in the app trying to go play a round or hit the driving range.

STEP 3 – FIND YOUR SLX-E6 LICENSE PRODUCT KEY
  1. Write down the License Key in your email from SLX we talked about earlier or have it handy so you can put it in the software when needed.
    a. If you got an iOS License, the key would start with TXMSS-
    i. For people who want to play E6 on their iPad or iPhone
ii. 70% of our customers use an iOS license because you can easily cast your screen to a larger TV/Projector like this: [ Screen Mirroring Help Link ]

  2. If you got a PC License, the key would start with TXPSS-
    a. Popular for those who have a nice computer with a DEDICATED GRAPHICS CARD.
    i. if you do not know what this is or why it would be important [ INFO HERE ] IF you made a mistake on which E6 license key version you wanted, now would be the time to change your mind. Go to the bottom of this page and use one of the contact support links to get ahold of us and copy this into your message to us “made a mistake, SLX can have this license key back (Enter the license key if it is unused, if you have already used it, you can buy a 2nd one here: [ Extra SLX – E6 Licenses CLICK HERE ] You can also get a 2nd one from us if you want to extend E6 with the same features for another year after your 1st key runs out of time. Licenses through E6 are more expensive, but also have more features, so it’s up to you to decide: [ Premium vs. Standard SLX Licenses ] I. Other E6 notes relevant here: The E6 license key we give you is like a 1-time use coupon that assigns the rights and privileges you have in relation to what tracking system you will be using and is directly applicable to only 1 device type. You cant get an iOS license and log into an E6 account on a PC and expect to see your courses. Also, if you try to redeem a key after you already did it 1-time, E6 will display an error. Read a few lines below for details on that. Once you redeem our key correctly and have it as the active license on your device, the SLX Tracking System + the old brand “tittle” will be in your E6 simulator tab on the right- hand side, and no other tracking system will be viewable.
II. The “tittle” tracker option will actually work with your MicroSIM too…it’s just there for the legacy customers so they retain long-term functionality with E6. There is virtually no difference in the way the two trackers work, but if you are a left-hander the swing detection is currently better on the “tittle” tracker at the moment, so keep that in mind if you’re a lefty.
III. We intentionally removed the SLX tracker from the E6 DEMO license you get automatically when signing up with them. It may be confusing to download software and not see the product listed that you bought and want to use with it, but know this making setup occur this way forces you to bind the license correctly to your device out of the gate to gain use of the product in E6. If you don’t have your license bound or activated correctly, that’s what tells the system what device to connect to…
IV. If you try to redeem a E6 license key a 2nd time, it will say it’s already in use….and it is…in YOUR account. That’s pretty common if you are just YOLO’ing it out there, trying to make this work, and not following instructions….(I self-admit, this would be me also )

STEP 4 – INSTALL E6 CONNECT

12. E6 Connect iOS App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/e6-connect/id1360027026
13. E6 Connect PC Link: https://portal.e6golf.com/update/e6-connect
**
DO NOT LOG INTO E6 YET, READ STEP 5 FIRST!**

STEP 5 – BINDING / ACTIVATING YOUR E6 LICENSE

After installation of the E6 Connect APP – or- PC Program, do the following:

  1. LOGIN WITH YOUR E6 Username and Password on the “ACTIVATE” side of the screen.

  2. Select NO if a pop-up Box asks you to apply the last license.

  3. Select “REDEEM” license and enter the key we gave you.

  4. SUBMIT/ACTIVATE – E6 System at this point will say something like, success you have consumed your license key etc…just hit YES/OK.

  5. At this point, your system should be showing the SLX and tittle trackers. Congratulations, that wasn’t too hard now was it?

  6. Familiarize yourself with the blue CONFIGURE box. This is where you change the sensor settings.

  7. Difficulty = Spin Rate
    i. Low = Arcade Mode (15%)
    ii. Medium = Arcade/Realistic Blend (50%)
iii. High = Full Shot Shape (100%)

  8. Sensitivity: Sensor’s recognition of motion vs non-motion actions: [ Sensitivity& Calibration ] i. Distance Controls = +/- up to 25%, in 5% increments. [ Article on Distance adjustments ]

STEP 6 – WAKE UP AND CHARGE SENSOR

I don’t know why I put this as step #6, but I’m not going back up and changing the numbers so it’s going to stay here until further notice.
9. Put a USB-Micro into the charge port, it will turn on and be blinking red when taken off power.
10. The red blinking lights are the sensor saying “I’m Ready to connect”
i. [ Document on MicroSIM LED Lights]

STEP 7 – ACCEPT TRACKING SYSTEM SETTINGS

Self-Explanatory, and you may have already done this, which is fine.
11. If a SLX/Tittle Tracker is selected you’re ready to go, the sensor should connect automatically.
12. make sure your Bluetooth and app/PC permissions are set to allow Bluetooth

STEP 8 – TAKE SOME SWINGS at the Range

On Home screen where it says, “Play Golf, Practice, Games etc…” do the following:
13. Select Practice = Driving Range
14. Add Guest
15. Click through & select a range and the default options on each menu. You don’t have to get fancy with your 1st session, were just doing a functions test to make sure everything is working correctly.

STEP 9 – YOUR DONE! – GENERAL USE NOTES + UNDERSTANDING THE MicroSIM

SENSOR

The MicroSIM sensor only knows 2 things as far as we’re concerned here…Time & Motion.

  • Time gives the sensors an X-axis to plot against, and the data is on the Y
  • You can’t see these plots, but that’s how it goes.
  • Output Information / Data coming out of the device(s) all around us generally works this way also.

“Waiting Mode” & Ready Mode within E6 & SLX applications
In short, unwanted or motion unrelated to the actual swing you’re going to take when the sensor is ready for a swing will “confuse” it
To observe and understand this Waiting & Ready mode process:

  1. READY MODE: The sensor is always assuming you want to play golf / 100% of the ime thinking you want to take a swing…
    a. If the MicroSIM ” evaluates that it is currently at an angle that is related to the address position, it looks @ your club choice AND the angle it is sitting at again, then confirms your intent to swing by waiting 2 seconds then enters ready mode.
    b. IF you move too much and are at the address position OR wait too long (> 5 seconds) the sensor will reset to waiting mode even if your still at the address position so it can dump the data from that part of its analysis and start over.

  2. 1-B Above is important ↑ because if you want to enhance your play as much as possible, the highest sensitivity level is a good choice to have setup in the E6 settings-simulator-configure menu. The downside is that you are more likely to and it will go back to “waiting” mode…. then go to address again, listen for “ready” and the MicroSIM will vibrate…that’s your checkered flag. Take a swing!

16. When the sensor is “Ready”, its time to GO!
i. Take a swing within 1-2 seconds with minimal “waggle” or unnecessary motion directly prior to the beginning of your backswing at address.
ii. You can actually wait as long as 4-5seconds, but that isnt the best way to get the most accurate results.
iii. To reset from Ready to Waiting quickly, just raise the club as described below.
17. WAITING MODE: When you are in a playable, digital golf environment within E6 or SLX software, and the sensor is connected, simply lift the swing stick -or- golf club up enough so that the angle of the sensor is outside of the expected range for a shaft on address position.
i. At a certain angle, defined by your club selection, the sensor will send a signal to E6 that you are not ready to take a swing and it will “EXIT” ready mode. This is ultimately very intuitive because, at this point, your shaft is not presenting like you’re about to take a swing….so it leaves ready mode and goes to “waiting mode”…waiting for you to get back at address position.
18. TAKE A SWING: Once you have figured out, and understand the sensor’s interpretation of what “waiting” and “ready” mean to it, your experience with the swing part will be much better. Now take a swing, while considering the above. It takes about 15-20swings for a lowtech user to get used to it, and if your one of those people who can look at a new tech product and just “get-it”, i typed up all this for nothing☺.

IF YOU ARE PRETTY EXCITED YOU OWN THIS PRODUCT WITH WHAT YOUR SEEING IN EITHER SLX -OR- E6…

Dec 22’

1 Issue =~60% of Ticket / Call Volume: E6 Connect SLX Tracker & Standard

Included License Binding vs the automatically installed DEMO License that comes with your E6 Account. If you skipped some steps in our instruction video and went straight to the app store, downloaded E6 Connect, and expected things to go smoothly…we wish it was that simple, but at this point, all you need to do is [ CLICK HERE ] for the article that solves for that.

2 Issue = ~14% of TIcket / Call Volume: PC Bluetooth settings…You do NOT need

to pair the sensor to your computer. EVER. E6 and SLX Software will connect to the sensor automatically after the setup process. Also, there are a million and one Bluetooth cards out there for PC’s. Make sure your drivers are up to date and windows is not using the generic ones. This device uses a Bluetooth protocol that is very specifi and generic windows drivers will not work correctly. For more info on this topic. [ CLICK HERE ]

3 Issue = ~10% of Ticket / Call Volume: Connection / Disconnection from

Bluetooth when using the sensor = COMPLETELY exit any and all software that could connect to the MicroSIM and try again. The sensor is like a person at a party that will talk to anyone that comes up to it regardless of if they are in the middle of a conversation. That’s the best way I can explain it without getting too technical. More info:[ CLICK HERE ] #4 Issue = ~6% of Ticket / Call Volume: Reported Battery Charging issues = Sensor doesn’t seem to hold a charge after a period of time like it originally did. If your sensor is not holding a charge for more than 2hrs of use: [ CLICK HERE ] #5 Issue(s) = ~5% of Ticket / Call Volume: Instead of line itemizing this section with specific sub-events, I’m calling this miscellaneous here and there customer stuff, unrelated to product performance.
Examples: Customer needs product info – 2nd license key requests – PC Bluetooth drivers are all jacked up on a customers PC, Security software installed on your system ( probably by your employer or carrier ) that you didn’t know was on it that prevents you from using the device like you want ( security software restricts access to core device functions to prevent unwanted malware/spyware/ransomware)…and finally, lonely people who need someone to talk to ( yes, that happens & more than you would think ) but present the interaction as a support situation..we actually don’t mind that long as we can get in and out of the conversation at will when other customers are needing help.

6 Issue = ~<1% of Ticket / Call Volume: Sensor is dead, won’t wake up or the

buttons / LED lights are not functioning correctly. [MicroSIM LED Lights Explained] There is no excuse if your SLX product arrived non-functional..or became non-functional under normal use We 100% agree on that, and do not shy away from making things right. At this point, for a < 18-month-old company, a <1% natural defect rate is actually pretty good compared to industry standards. Our assembly process involves human beings that solder and connect pieces together on the PCB. We also ship units in containers and air-freight them as needed so they can be in your hands…all from South Korea. The distance they travel is very far and the sensors & components experience wild temperature fluctuations that we suspect are the cause for most of these dead on arrival -or- died during normal use events. (Thermal expansion and contraction across the PCB/Housing and internal parts during the temperature swings.) As we scale, our assembly process will likely will move to a robotic/automated system to alleviate some of this with more precise assembly…but we have to have the sales volume to support that expensive decision. In short, we stand behind our products and trust that if you are telling us it was dead on arrival or became non-functional during normal use, let us know and we will get you a replacement sensor. We require a short video or- some pictures to substantiate your replacement unit and often times we get them to you within 5 business days. Video/Pictures just need to show the device not turning on when on power and taking it off power and NO LIGHTS flashing. A red blinking light means the sensor is working correctly, you just need to figure out the Bluetooth situation that is causing it to not connect. To start a ticket for this kind of situation: [ CLICK HERE ] #7 Issue = ~10 cases in 18 months: Customer has done everything correctly and the sensor mysteriously connects, shows it’s connected in the software, but will not function with either SLX or E6 apps. I guess I did line item one of the misc. ones.
So……..we know you love your SLX Simulator, or you will when it’s functioning correctly….just reach out and we will get you to where you need to be. Trust that.

SLX SUPPORT ADMIN STATEMENT TO CUSTOMERS HAVING ISSUES
First off…sorry your having issues, but one thing that will help solve your situation quickly:

  • If you are going to send us an email or a ticket or any of the above options, tell us as much as you can about what’s happening, what you’re observing, what you have tried (INCLUDING SCREENSHOTS AND VIDEO IF POSSIBLE) & the device you’re trying to do this on etc. (device model#/iOS/PC/Android)
  • …It is very common for a customer to put no subject in a communication to us and say 4-5 words only. We can usually decode this into a meaningful understanding, but we’re hiring new support people as you read this, and I can’t download everything out of my brain perfectly to them. A lot of customer service is just experience… so tell us (and any other customer service dept you interact with) as much as you can and the likelihood your case gets solved effectively, with minimal back and forth goes up exponentially. With tickets that have 2-4 sentences of explanation on receipt of ticket, the avg # of back and forth drops from 5+ to 1-3. Think about it. The rest is up to you 😉

THAT’S ALL FOR NOW FOLKS!!!
Thanks for choosing a SwingLogic Product!

WHO ARE WE FOOTNOTE / EXTRA READING:
A few years ago some business friends & golf enthusiasts (JS, Brian, Davis, & Blake) started a company together based on wanting to sell the “tittle x play E6 edition” in the USA. It was better than the other options by far and less expensive. Little did we know this would take off as it has. This couldn’t happen without a lot of passion, sacrifice, blind faith in the American Dream, and awesome customers! Also, you should know SLX is USA owned and operated and is working hard to bring AFFORDABLE GOLF TECH TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC without gouging out your wallets & purses. We are normal people, not some monolithic large company that won’t interact with you or actually listen to your input…were probably a lot like you…Golf is a great pastime and sport, whether you are having a few drinks out on the course or grinding out training to lower your handicap. Some of the things we have on the horizon could change how golfers understand their game at a price that doesn’t even make sense, and that’s not just cheap talk. See Article: [ Hybrid X3 Pro Article written by our CEO, Brian ] in short, every launch monitor out there so far is basically doing the same thing: tracking a ball to estimate what happened to make that shot look the way it went. That’s actually not that hard to do. Higher end $15,000+ devices use some optical elements and infrared sensors as well, but that is mostly for just verifying the radar data and finetuning the flight as well as possible for the simulated shot. Really cool stuff, but how many of us have several thousand dollars to spend on a simulation product? What we’re going to ultimately do and put a majority of our focus on in the coming years is to combine a 3D sensor that maps your swing and relay’s that data to a radar device that combines the two readings. This will not only show you what is happening with your swing and the shot really accurately, but over time, with enough use and data logged in our app & programs, you will see the 3D sensor plots change depending on how you work on your swing mechanics. LINK: 3D sensor and what it looks like when you program it to log data related to your swing. Once we have everything finely tuned, the Hybrid Pro will give you the information you need to know EXACTLY what you are doing and how to correct it+ do all the regular simulation and launch monitor stuff that you can essentially get anywhere….all for less than $600. That’s how our CEO thinks, that’s how we think and how we are going to take over this market…but only with your loyalty and acceptance.
TRUE Innovation requires rethinking the standard approach from the ground up and that’s what we are doing. It’s the very reason you have a sensor that can do what it does as fast as it does…and were not even close to stopping. SLX + Awesome customers = anything’s possible☺.
Thanks for reading.
