Levels of noise and vibration were determined according to the standards and regulations in the declaration of conformity. The specified total vibration value and the stated noise emission value have been measured according to a standardised test method and can be used to compare one power tool with another. The specified total vibration value and the stated specified noise emission value can also be used for a provisional assessment of the load.
WARNING! The vibration and noise emissions may deviate from the specified values during actual use of the power tool, depending on how the power tool is being used. Try to keep the exposure to vibrations as low as possible. An example of a measure to reduce vibration exposure is limiting the working hours. All parts of the operating cycle have to be considered while doing so (for example, times when the power tool is switched off and times when it is switched on but running without any load).
Charging time
The device is part of the X 20 V TEAM series and can be operated with
batteries of the X 20 V TEAM series. Batteries of the X 20 V TEAM series may
only be charged using chargers of the X 20 V TEAM series.

You should have any repair and maintenance work that is not described in these instructions carried out by our Service Centre. Only use original replacement parts.
Cleaning
WARNING! Electric shock! Never spray down the device with water. NOTICE!
Risk of damage. Chemical substances may attack the plastic parts of the
machine. Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.
Keep the ventilation slits, motor housing and handles of the machine clean. Use a damp cloth or brush to do this.
WARNING! Risk of injury from dangerous, moving parts! Be careful with the line cutter. It can cause serious lacerations.
- After each use, remove all grass and dirt from the protective cover and the cutting unit.
Maintenance
Replacing the spool
The correct winding direction of the spool (18) is specified in the spool cap
(20) and on the spool. The arrows on the spool cover (31) indicate the
direction of rotation of the motor.
Procedure(Fig. B)
- Remove the battery (6) from the device.
- the spool cap (20) by simultaneously pressing the two releases (30) on the spool cap.
- Remove the spool cover (31) and take out the old spool.
- Insert the new spool into the spool cap (20). The side of the spool (18), on which the rotation direction is indicated by arrows, must be visible after inser-tion.
- Insert the end of the line through the line outlet loop (19).
- Put the spool cover (31) back on the spool cap. Make sure that the releases (30) on the cover fit precisely into the recesses on the spool cap. You will hear them snap into place.
- Pull the line ends until they stick out about 1 cm above the line cutter (32).
- Check the line cutter.
Never use the device without a line cutter or with a defective line cutter. Contact the service centre if the line cutter is damaged.
Winding up spare line
- Thread an end of the spare line through the opening of the spool (18).
- Wind the line in the winding direction of the spool. Pay attention to the arrows on the top of the spool.
Storage
Always store the device:
- clean
- dry
- protected against dust
- out of the reach of children
The storage temperature for the rechargeable battery and the device is between
0°C and 45°C. Avoid extreme cold or heat during storage to ensure the battery
output is not adversely affected. Remove the rechargeable battery from the
device before storing the device (see the separate operating instructions for
the battery and charger).
Do not lie the device down on the protective cover. It is best to hang it on
the upper handle so that the protective cover does not touch any other
objects. There is a risk that the protective cover will become deformed, thus
changing the dimensions and safety characteristics.
Disposal/ environmental protection
Remove the battery from the device and recycle the device, battery,
accessories and packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner.
Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) must not be disposed of with domestic waste. The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin means that this product must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste at the end of its useful life.
Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment:
Consumers are legally obliged to recycle electrical and electronic equipment
in an environmentally sound manner at the end of its life. In this way,
environmentally friendly and resource-saving recycling is ensured.
Depending on the implementation in national law, you may have the following
opinions:
- Return to a shop,
- Hand over to an official collection point,
- Return to the manufacturer/distributor. This does not affect accessories enclosed with the old devices or tools without any electrical components.

The guarantee period begins on the date of purchase. Please retain the
original receipt. This document is required as proof of purchase.
If a material or manufacturing defect occurs within three years of the date of
purchase of this product, we will repair or replace – at our choice – the

present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking.
Repairs arising after expiry of the guarantee period are chargeable.
Guarantee Cover
The product has been carefully produced in accordance with strict quality
guidelines and conscientiously checked prior to delivery.
The guarantee applies for all material and manufacturing defects. This
guarantee does not extend to cover product parts that are subject to normal
wear and may therefore be considered as wearing parts (e.g. Spool) or to cover
damage to break-able parts.
This guarantee shall be invalid if the product has been damaged, used
incorrectly or not maintained. Precise adherence to all of the instructions
specified in the operating manual is required for proper use of the product.
Intended uses and actions against which the operating manual advises or warns
must be categorically avoided.
The product is designed only for private and not commercial use. The guarantee
