SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Warning: Read the manual carefully before use. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in damage to the machine, physical injury and/or damage to property. Store the manual in a safe place for future reference.

  • Wear safety shoes and gloves.
  • Do not insert fingers or feet into the guard net.
  • Forbid anyone to be under or near the fork arms when they are in the upper position.
  • Do not use the machine as a vehicle jack.
  • Do not lift or lower loads that are placed near the edge of the fork arms.
  • Do not handle swinging loads.
  • Make sure that foodstuffs do not come into direct contact with the fork arms.
  • Do not use the machine in explosive atmospheres.
  • Before transporting loads with the machine, make sure that its fork arms are in the lowest position.
  • Always use the brake before loading and unloading.
  • Do not overload the machine.
  • Keep the nameplate and all safety decals clean and readable.
  • To avoid impairing the machine’s stability, special precautions must be taken during operation of the unit, loading or unloading, with the fork arms in  the upper position
    • The machine must be moved slowly and smoothly.
    • While moving, make sure that no part of the fork arms or of the load comes in contact with an obstacle.
    • Before lowering the fork arms, make sure that no obstacle is below them.
    • If it is necessary to move the machine on a small slope, the gradient must be no more than 2% and the machine must be unladen, with the fork arms facing downgrade

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Oil should be filtered clean and maintained at a sufficient level.
  • Before operating the machine, make sure that every structure is normal and every joint part is tight.
  • Loads must be placed on the fork arms uniformly.
  • Make sure that heavy loads do not remain on the fork arms for an extended period of time after finishing work with the machine.
  • When a load is lowered, the pedal should be trod lightly and slowly in order not to lower the load suddenly and cause unsafe situations.

OTHER GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Use only qualified spare parts.
  • When slinging the machine into a container or in a vehicle, a steel rope about 1.5 meters long is needed.
  • Be sure of the tightness of the steel rope and that the lifting equipment used can lift the machine.
  • The correct slinging position is shown in figure 1 (see next page).

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible cause Solution
The hoisting height does not reach the rated value Insufficient oil Unscrew

the oil plug, refill filtered clean oil, then tighten the oil plug
The fork arm cannot be lifted when pulling the handle|

  1. The oil viscosity is too high or there is no oil in the machine.

  2. There is impurity in the oil.

  3. Release valve, pedal or extension spring is
ineffective or not at the highest closing
position or jammed by foreign matter.

  4. Pedal or release valve has not en adjusted
    to proper position.

|

  1. Replace the oil or refill the appropriate amount of oil.
  2. Remove impurity or replace the oil.
  3. Check the extension spring, regulate the pedal at the highest closing position, remove the impurity.
  4. Release the extension spring and pedal- connecting bolt, adjust repeatedly until it is in proper position, then tighten the bolt and replace the extension spring.

The fork arm cannot be lowered|

  1. Oil-release pedal has not been regulated.
  2. Load that is positioned too far from the center of the fork arms has caused piston deformation.

| Regulate, repair or replace the piston rod or bearings as per the above- mentioned method
Oil leak|

  1. The packing gasket is spoiled or ineffective.
  2. There are holes and opening on parts of the machine.
  3. Screwed joint is loose or packing gasket is not tight.

| Replace the packing gasket. Tighten, repair or replace parts
