Product Usage Instructions

Before Use:
Remove all packaging materials from the product.
Charging the Product:
Connect the included USB cable to the product’s USB port and a power source with an output of 5V and 1A. Allow the product to charge for 3 to 4 hours.
Turning On The Light:
To turn on the light, locate the power button on the product and press it. You can switch between full power and low power modes by pressing the button again.
Maintenance and Cleaning:
The product is maintenance-free, and the LEDs are not replaceable. Simply wipe the product with a damp cloth if cleaning is necessary.
Disposal:
Before disposal, remove the batteries or battery pack from the product according to local regulations.

This product may be used by children aged 8 years and up, as well as by persons with physical, sensory, or mental impairments or lacking experience and/or knowledge, provided they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product and understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play with the product. Never allow children to clean or maintain this product unsupervised.
This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children. Children are not aware of the dangers associated with handling electrical products.
Do not use the product if you detect any kind of damage. Protect the product from moisture and humidity. Never immerse the product in water or other liquids!
Do not modify or repair the product. The LEDs cannot and must not be replaced.
The Illuminants are not replaceable.
If the Illuminants fail at the end of their life, the entire product must be replaced.
Dispose of the product if the product or the USB cable 8 is damaged.
Ensure that the USB cable 8 cannot become damaged by sharp edges or hot objects. Unwind the USB cable 8 completely before use.
Protect the product from extreme heat and cold.
The included USB cable 8 is only suitable for use with this product.
The LEDs are very bright. Do not look directly into the product.

Safety instructions for batteries/rechargeable batteries

DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.
Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
Do not exert mechanical loads on batteries/rechargeable batteries.

Risk of leakage of batteries/rechargeable bat-teries

Avoid extreme environmental conditions and tempera-tures, which could affect batteries/rechargeable bat-teries, e.g. radiators/direct sunlight.
If batteries/rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!
WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batteries/rechargeable bat-teries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
This product has a built-in rechargeable battery which cannot be replaced by the user. The removal or replacement of the rechargeable battery may only be carried out by the manufacturer or his customer service or by a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards. When disposing of the product, it should be noted that this product contains a rechargeable battery.

Before use

Note:
Remove all packaging materials from the product.

Charging the product

Note: Only charge up the product in indoor areas. Note: The product cannot be charged at temperatures below 0°C and above 45°C according to the battery protection.
Note: You can charge up the product using the USB cable 8 that is included. Regarding input voltage and current, please refer to the chapter “Technical data”.
Note: You must charge the battery before use. The charging process takes about 3 to 4 hours.
Note: Only use the SELV power supply with a maximum working output voltage of 5 V (Uout) 1 A.
Plug the USB type C connector on the USB cable 8 into the USB connection socket (type C) 6 on the product.
Afterwards, insert the USB plug on the USB cable 8 into the USB port on the USB power supply.
Note: Pay attention to the distance between the product and the USB power supply as USB cable 8 is only about 50 cm in length.
Note: During charging, the charge indicator 7 lights up in red. Charge indicator 7 lights up green when charging is complete. When the charge indicator 7 is green, disconnect the USB cable 8 from the USB connection socket (type C) 6 on the product so that the battery does not discharge.
Note: Close the protective cap 5 before using the product. If this is not done then water could penetrate the product if it is used outdoors.
Note: Fully charge the battery before storage. If you wish to store the product for longer than 3 months, fully charge the battery every 3 months.

Hanging/setting up the product
You can hang up or set up the product if you do not want to hold it:

Fold out the hook 4 to hang up the product in a suitable place.
Note: When hanging up the product, ensure that the chosen place is appropriate when considering the weight of the product.
Fold out the three-legged base 3 so that the product can stand up when on the floor (see Fig. B).
CAUTION! Please note the position of your hands when opening up and closing the three-legged base 3 to prevent pinching your fingers (see Fig. C).

Operation

The product can be operated in two different modes that are selected by repeated pressing of the ON/OFF button 2 :

Press once: The side light 1 lights up at full power.
Press twice: The side light 1 light up at low power.
Press three times: The product is switched off.

Maintenance and cleaning

The product requires no maintenance. The LEDs cannot be replaced.
Switch off the product and disconnect from the USB power supply before cleaning.
Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
Never use caustic cleaners.
Regularly clean the product with a dry, lint-free cloth.
Use a slightly moistened cloth to remove any stubborn dirt.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and fibreboard/80–98: composite materials.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details on how to dispose of your worn-out product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.
The products incl. accessories and packaging materials are recyclable and are subject to extended producer responsibility. Dispose of them separately, following the illustrated Infotri (sorting information), for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.
Faulty or used batteries/rechargeable batteries must be recycled under Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries/rechargeable batteries!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries/ rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects, you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of pur-chase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase.
Any damage or defects already present at the time of pur-chase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.
Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, used, or maintained improperly.
The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects.
This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.
For this product, a rechargeable battery is also covered by warranty.

Please have the till receipt and the item number (IAN 444167_2307) available as proof of purchase.
You will find the item number on the rating plate, an engraving on the front page of the instructions for use (bottom left), or a sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.
If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department listed either by telephone or by e-mail. You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.
