Safety Precautions

  • When moving the unit, hold the steamer base with both hands. Do not hold it by the stainless steel drip tray, transparent water tank, steaming plate or power cord alone.

  15. To avoid any danger, if power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, by an authorized repair center or by other qualified technicians.

  17. Do not operate the appliance on a wobbling or tilted work surface.
  18. Before activating the appliance, make sure the water tank has enough water. To avoid overflow, water should not exceed the maximum level indicator.
  19. Watch out for the hot steam coming from the steam outlet or the surging steam while uncovering the lid. To avoid scald, do not put your hand and face near the steam outlet or air vent.
  20. The lid and the drip tray will be hot. To avoid scald, do not touch or place your bare hand near these two parts.

  27. The steamer is not intended to be operated with an external timer. To avoid any danger, never connect the appliance to an external timer.
  28. Do not use the appliance if the plug, the cord, the base or the product itself has been damaged.
  29. Do not use the appliance for a prolonged period (within 1 hour) to avoid water overflow from the drip tray. If a longer period of usage is desired, make sure to remove the condensate water from the drip tray every hour. Ensure that no liquid leaks from the drip tray during operation.
  30. Do not frequently connect and disconnect the water tank to avoid damaging the seal ring of the water tank, which can cause water leakage.
  31. Residual water may be present in the drip tray. Cool down the drip tray, remove the water and wipe clean the drip tray before applying it again.
  32. If there is residual water on the surface of the appliance, turn off power immediately and wipe it clean before resuming operation.
  33. Do not dry heat the appliance for more than 10 minutes as it will reduce the steamer’s service life.

Warning! Do not touch the appliance when steaming is in progress since its surface temperature can be very high.

Operating Instructions

Prior to Usage
Remove the packaging. Clean the appliance before usage (refer to Care and Maintenance section). A slight scent of smoke or chemical substance may be detected during its initial application. The emission of odour is a normal phenomenon and it will disappear quickly.

  • Step 1:
    Put the foldable steamer on a flat surface.

  • Step 2:
    Install the drip tray and the steaming plate onto the machine with the drip tray below the steaming plate. Place food onto the steaming plate or heat- resistant cookware.

  • Step 3:
    Fill the water tank, make sure water does not exceed the maximum level indicator.

  • Step 4:
    Use the partition to increase the cooking capacity. Place additional food on the transparent steaming basket and then cover the steamer with the lid. (Note: the steam outlet should be placed against the water tank)

  • Step 5:
    Upon activating the appliance, rotate the timer knob so that the desired cooking duration is right below the small white triangle.

  • Step 6:
    A ticking sound will be emitted when cooking is complete. Unplug the appliance and wait for 4-5 minutes (to avoid steam scalds), uncover the lid and dish up the food. Allow the drip tray to cool down, remove it from the steamer and discard the condensate water.

Note:
The appliance is equipped with a safety switch so that it will not run until the transparent lid or steam racks are in contact with the safety switch. Otherwise, the appliance will not operate even if the timer is set.

  1. The above values are for reference only. Adjust the cooking time according to individual preference and food quantity.
  2. Compatible utensils: heat-resistant cookware
  3. 500g of ingredients in each compartment is considered an appropriate quantity.
  4. To avoid scald, pay attention to hot steam during the entire cooking process.

Care & Maintenance

  1. Clean the appliance every time after it is used. Switch off the timer knob, unplug the device, cool down the device and remove the condensate water in the drip tray before cleaning the steamer.
  2. To avoid damaging the unit, do not use any cleaning agents such as soap, gasoline, thinner, alcohol, bleach, polishing powder, metallic brush, nylon brush and steel scourer to clean any part of appliance.
  3. Never immerse the appliance into water or wash it under running water.
  4. Clean the steaming basket, transparent lid and steam racks with water, wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Only the metallic parts are dishwasher safe.
  5. Make sure all the accessories are dirt-free and properly dried before putting them aside for storage.

Descaling the Foldable Steamer
Deposit of precipitate is a normal phenomenon after 2 – 3 months’ application. The amount of precipitate depends on the hardness of water . Regular descaling is essential to extend the appliance’s service life. It is recommended to use pure water to descale the steamer.

  1. Pour white vinegar and water into the water tank (Do not use other chemicals).
  2. Turn on the appliance.
  3. Set the timer value between 20~25 minutes and allow the steam to circulate.
  4. When the timer rings, unplug the device and discard the liquid.
  5. Fill the water tank with pure water and steam for 10 more minutes before applying it to real food.

If the following problems are encountered, follow the instructions below. If the problem persists, please contact our Customer Services and Repair Centre.
Note: For safety purpose, any unauthorised attempt to dismantle the product is prohibited.

  • This warranty is not valid until customer registration information is received by our Service Centre within 10 days of purchase via one of the following means:

    2. Complete all the fields on the attached Warranty Card and mail it back to our Customer Service Centre.

Please fill out the form below. This information and the original purchase invoice will be required for any repairs. Warranty will be invalidated if information provided is found to be inaccurate.

  1. Customer who fails to present original purchase invoice will not be eligible for free warranty service.
  2. Customer should always follow the operating instructions. This warranty does not apply to:
    • labour costs for on-site installation, check-up, repair, replacement of parts and other transportation costs;
    • damages caused by accidents of any kind (including material transfer and others);
    • operating failures resulting from applying incorrect voltage, improper usage, and unauthorized installations or repairs.
  3. This warranty is invalid if:
    • the purchase invoice is modified by an unauthorized party;
    • the product is used for any commercial or industrial purposes;
    • the product is repaired or modified by unauthorized personnel, or unauthorized parts are installed;
    • the serial number is modified, damaged or removed from the product.
  4. German Pool will, at its discretion, repair or replace any defective part.
  5. This warranty will be void if there is any transfer of ownership from the original purchaser.
