Setting the timer

  1. Press the R button to reset the timer to its default settings, and activate using a pencil or similar pointed instrument. (pressing R will delete all stored programs)

  2. Press Y to enter the function setup.
    (Note: if another button is not pressed within 10 seconds the display will revert to the normal screen).

  3. Use the + or – button to scroll to the clock icon (flashing) and press Y to enter the current time setting mode (hours flashing).

  4. If you keep the + or – buttons pressed for more than 3 seconds, the display will enter fast scroll mode.

  5. Use the + or – button to adjust the hours and press Y to confirm, minutes will flash.

  6. Use the + or – button to adjust the minutes and press Y to confirm, day will flash.

  7. Use the + or – button to adjust the day and press N to exit.

Setting a program

  1. There are 24 ON/OFF programs available.
  2. Press the Y button twice to enter the programming setting mode. (Note: if another button is not pressed within 10 seconds the display will revert to the normal screen).
  3. The default is program 01 ON, this can be changed if required by pressing the + or -button to scroll through the 24 ON/OFF programs as required, pressing the Y button will confirm the program.
  4. Press the Y button to confirm program 01 ON, hours will flash.
  5. Use the + or – button to adjust the hours and press Y to confirm, minutes will flash.
  6. Use the + or – button to adjust the minutes and press Y to confirm, days will flash.
  7. Apart from individual days of the week, The following day combinations of multiple-day blocks can be selected by pressing the + or – buttons.
  8. Monday to Sunday
  9. Monday to Friday
  10. Saturday to Sunday
  11. Monday to Saturday
  12. Monday + Wednesday + Friday
  13. Tuesday + Thursday + Saturday
  14.  Monday + Tuesday + Wednesday
  15. Thursday + Friday + Saturday
  16. Select day or day block as required and press the Y button to confirm.
  17. Press the + button, this will select the program 01 OFF, and press Y to confirm.
  18. Follow 4 to 7 above to set the 01 OFF program (day or day block must be the same as program ON).
  19. If no more programs are required, press the N button to exit.
  20. If more programs are required follow 3.
  21. To cancel a program once set, press and hold the N button for more than 3 seconds when the desired program number is flashing i.e. to cancel program 01 ON, press the Y button twice and hold the N button down for more than 3 seconds to delete. Pressing The + button again will select 01 OFF.
  22. Repeat 13 to delete 01 OFF.
    This procedure can be repeated to delete any of the 24 programs.

Check Program Settings

  1. Press Y button twice to enter program mode.
  2. Press the + or – buttons to scroll through the 24 ON/OFF programs to check settings.
  3. Press the N button to exit and revert to clock mode.

Manual Override

  • When in normal clock mode, pressing the N button will scroll through the following switching options.
  • ALWAYS ON – the timer is permanently “ON” PROG – the timer is in program mode “ON”
  • PROG – the timer is in program mode “OFF” ALWAYS OFF – the timer is permanent “OFF”

Random Function

If the Random switching feature is enabled (visible), it will cause the timer to switch on/off/- 28 minutes around the set time.
E.g. The random setting time is: 8:00-9:00, the “ON” time could be any time between 7:32-8:28, and the “OFF” time could be any time between 8:32-9:28

Summer / Winter Setting

  1. Press the Y button, then use the + or -buttons to scroll through to “summer” (flashing).
  2. Press the Y button again to access the summertime setting.
  3. Press the + or – button to change between summer on or off.
  4. Press Y to confirm the summer setting, time will advance 1 hour.
  5. A “SUMMER” icon will appear on the display.
  6. Use the same procedure to remove the “SUMMER” icon when reverting to GMT in the winter.

Please read the instructions fully before attempting installation.

IMPORTANT: Installation must be carried out by the current edition of the I.E.E. Wiring Regulations. It is recommended that installation is undertaken only by a qualified electrician.

  • The timer must not be mounted on a flammable surface.
  • Ensure that the timer does not come into contact with any combustible materials such as towels or bedding.
  • Ensure at least a 300 mm air space is allowed around the timer.
  • The timer should not be mounted on an unearthed metal or metalized surface.
  • If the timer is to be connected to an appliance that is required to be earthed the supply earthing conductor and the appliance earthing conductor should be terminated together in the earth terminal provided within the timer.

Installation procedure

  1. Switch the supply off at the mains. Means of disconnection from the supply having at least 3 mm contact separation in all poles must be incorporated in the fixed wiring mains supply.
  2. Unscrew the two screws located top right and bottom left of the front module cover; remove the cover and gently pull the module from the backplate. Do not put undue stress on, ‘or’ interfere with fixed blue wires. Bare wires back for 6 mm (1/4 inch) maximum; insert into terminals and secure with the screws, by circuit diagram label beneath terminals.
  3. Fix the backplate to the socket box.
  4. Connect wiring by wiring diagram.
  5. Fit the cover over a module and reassemble it to the backplate. Ensuring fixed blue wires are stowed neatly without being trapped.
  6. Re-fit and tighten two screws.
  7. Switch on mains.
