OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Speed controller
- With the help of the speed controller, the speed can be adjusted depending on the work at hand. Select the appropriate speed and make sure the orbital sander is not overloaded or stops working under pressure.
- Turn the speed controller to the desired setting to increase or decrease the speed. The controller can be adjusted from 1-6. The speed can also be changed during operation. Note: The required speed of the machine depends on the material to be ground. For best results, you should do some tests.
Choice of abrasive paper
- Always use abrasive paper suitable for the material to be processed. Sandpaper must be of the appropriate grain size for a given job.
- Depending on the grain size, there are different degrees of roughness. The roughness is defined by the number that appears on the back of the sandpaper.
- The higher the number, the finer the sandpaper. It is important to use the right paper for the work the operator is about to perform. For rough surfaces, choose sandpaper up to grain size 80, for softer wood, choose sandpaper with grain sizes from 60 to 150.
Installation of sandpaper
- Turn off the power tool and disconnect the plug from the outlet.
- The sanding plate is equipped with a sandpaper locking system, which allows for quick installation of new sheets without the need for tensioning. Before installing a new sheet, clean the dust lock system and put paper on a liner. Afterwards, spread the sanding paper over the sanding plate and make sure that the holes in the plate and sandpaper align.
Dust removal
- Connect the dust bag to the dust extraction connector. Check the filling level of the bag and empty it often. It is possible to connect a vacuum cleaner with a suitable adapter. Always work with a dust extraction system connected.
Switching the device on and off
- Connect the plug to the socket.
- To switch the device on, press the power button.
- To turn the device off, press the power button again.
Grinding
- Prepare the surface of the workpiece for grinding.
- Turn on the device and guide it over the workpiece surface using circular movements. Do not exert excessive pressure on the machine and workpiece while sanding. The weight of the machine itself is usually sufficient and ensures optimal rotation and good results. For sanding, select the appropriate type of abrasive paper with the appropriate grain size.
- Polishing. Apply the polishing product to the surface and allow it to dry. After finishing work, pull the device away from the work surface and then turn it off.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
