Westinghouse 3400 PSI PWSC Surface Cleaner
PWSC SURFACE CLEANER
FOR WESTINGHOUSE PRESSURE WASHERS UP TO 3400 PSI
WARNING
Do not use for commercial use. User must read and understand the operator’s
manual for their pressure washer before using this accessory to reduce the
risk of injury. Before beginning any cleaning activity, spray the pressure
stream in a safe direction to make sure that all accessories are connected
properly in order to minimize the danger of injury or property damage. Fits
most pressure washers. Before using this attachment, make sure it is
compatible and is correctly installed. Risk of fluid injections. Do not point
at people, pets, electrical devices, or the unit itself. Wear eye protection
designated to conform with ANSI Z87.1. Before adding, replacing, or modifying
accessories, turn off the pressure washer, release the water pressure in the
trigger handle, and lock the trigger handle’s lock out (if one is provided
with your pressure washer). Use only with cold water and only outdoors.
Store the accessory indoors. Save these guidelines. Use them to train other
users and refer to them frequently. Give the user of the tool these
instructions as well.

APPLICATIONS
You may use this product for the purpose(s) listed below:
- Cleaning decks, sidewalks, and driveways
INSTALLING THE SURFACE CLEANER See Figure 1.
- If necessary, remove the nozzle from the end of the lance.
- Pull back the quick-connect collar and insert the inlet adapter. Push the quick-connect collar forward to lock.
NOTE: Be sure the surface cleaner is securely locked into the lance before use.

WARNING
Only use the surface cleaner on flat, horizontal surfaces. To reduce the risk of injection or injury, never lift the surface cleaner from the cleaning surface while operating the pressure washer.
USING THE SURFACE CLEANER See Figure 2.
- Place the surface cleaner on the horizontal surface being cleaned and start the pressure washer.
- Squeeze the trigger and move slowly allowing the unit to clean the surface
NOTE: Swirling or striping in the cleaned surface indicates you may be moving too quickly. If a slower pace doesn’t stop the condition, the surface cleaner nozzles may be clogged. See Nozzle Maintenance to clean the nozzles.
WARNING
Avoid striking any raised obstacles while using the surface cleaner as damage
may occur to the unit. If contact occurs and a higher vibration of the unit
begins during use, release the trigger and discontinue use.
Continuing use could result in serious injury or damage to the unit.
NOZZLE MAINTENANCE See Figure 3.
The surface cleaner comes assembled. The nozzles are approved for use with pressure washers operating at 2500 to 3400 PSI with a maximum flow rate of 2.7 GPM (1.1 GPM minimum).
A pulsing sensation felt while squeezing the trigger and/or a higher vibration in the surface cleaner may be the result of a clogged or dirty nozzle.

Turn off the pressure washer and shut off the water supply. Place unit on the ground and pull the trigger to release the water pressure in the lance.

Pull back the quick-connect collar to disconnect the surface cleaner from the lance.

Use a nozzle cleaning tool or a fine needle to free any foreign materials that are clogging or restricting the nozzle.

Use a garden hose to back-flush the nozzle and force out the debris.
NOTE: Never point the nozzle outlet at your face. -
Reconnect the surface cleaner to the lance.

Turn on the water supply and start the pressure washer to resume cleaning.
REPLACING THE HIGH-PRESSURE FILTER See Figure 4.
If the water still doesn’t flow freely after cleaning the deck nozzles, it may be necessary to replace the high-pressure filter. Replacement filters are available by calling our Service Hotline at 855-944-3571.
- Turn off the pressure washer and shut off the water supply. Place unit on the ground and pull the trigger to release the water pressure in the lance.
- Disconnect the surface cleaner from the lance.
- Insert a slotted screwdriver into the slot of the filter as shown and turn counterclockwise to remove.
- Insert the new filter into the inlet plug.
- Turn the filter clockwise with the slotted screwdriver until it is inside the inlet adapter and no longer visible above the top of the adapter.
